Was interested in asking those that took a longer time ( >2 months) to achieve some type of "O" (P-Wave, Mini-O, or Super O), could you describe the first significant experience(s) that occurred that told you that you making progress or something was coming? Is there anything to which you attribute the progress before the "O"? Or, did the Aneros just finally click for you at that point?
Hypothetical Example: It took Bill Smith 10 months to achieve his first mini-O. For the first 8 months, Bill had good feelings, some small involuntaries, and some rewiring effects. In the ninth month just before achieving his first mini-o, Bill had his first significant lower body shaking and hard Helix thrusting involuntaries.
This might help me or others watching for positive road signs along the way.
Thanks.
Excellent idea, Tripper!
I have had the same thoughts today! Great minds, I guess.
Please comment on my post today - "Involuntaries, or muscles, or what?".
Maybe if enough of us post, we can determine what is the right track vs. "side-tracked"!
Thanks again
It took me around 6 months. I felt some very interesting and pleasureable things my first try, but was unable to reproduce them. I think the first signs along the road for me were increased heart rate, a very detached sort of fealing, and the realization that it felt best when I did little to nothing.
I had by this time produced very pronounced(almost violent) involuntary contractions. They turned out to be a side track. I had also felt a nice throbbing running up the shaft, to the head of my penis. This also turned out to be a sidetrack. I obsessed(and still do sort of) about the idea of leaking precum. This, as well turned out not to matter.
What I found was the the orgasm starts somewhere quite different than where I thought it would. It starts high in my chest, moves to my head, and ends in the waste area. The prostate/anus/penis is almost never where it starts. I think I have said this before, but I have even had O's in my face. I have had them in my legs. It is not quite pins and needles, but it is not the throbbing contracting of a traditional orgasm. It is a slow, intense, pleasureable rise. It will peak and hang there as long as you let it. As long as you can take it 🙂 I think the aneros gets better, because our pleasure threshold gets higher. Yay, Joy! What could be better than that?!?!

for me, at about the 6-8 week mark i started having increased success once i started to really dedicate time to the aneros... not just the session itself but everything you do before. relax for a bit, get in a good head space, have a shower, id even dim the lights in my room, put on some chill buddha bar music and light an oil burner so when i returned to my room after my shower, it was like i was entering a hooka bar lounge or something... (no, im not a hippy, i just enjoy my chill-time ; ) ). even when i got back to my room i wasnt in a rush to insert the aneros... i like to sit in my office chair, listening to music and maybe download some beautiful agony or something to prepare; all the while being vaguely aware of the anticipation building in my lower abdominal area. THEN, i remember exactly what i did the first time i felt something ill never forget. i had moved to my bed, on my side with my laptop set up for some nice viewing... it was late and cool and raining really hard outside so i felt kind of 'cozy' on my bed which DEFINATELY helped! i remember i was feeling really good and could tell some different things were happening. i almost felt anxious not to loose these feelings so i was trying to remember all the advice i had read here.
here's the important part: i then thought, im going to risk loosing these feelings and think about NOTHING... forget all the advice i read on these forums. i just lay there looking at my laptop and completely ZONED out. imagine youve spent all evening watching TV... this is the state you want IMO. i thought about nothing and just breathed. and with each breath i tried to relax more until i felt like i was sinking in my bed, almost becoming a part of it. this is exactly when it hit.
afterwards i thought: the aneros forum is so unessesary, its only going to confuse people. and i still tend to believe that. alot of people post regularily about their lack of improvement. my advice is: you already have all the info you need and you have had it all for a long time. people should stop trying to learn more and practice practice practice... its not about being technical, its about learning to summon up certain feelings and let them take over and wash over you as you zone out and relax! good luck to all
Great inputs!
Relax and let go.... is what I am hearing. I have been at points where I had no idea what was going on down below. Seemed like the Aneros was setting up house and rearranging the furniture. I lost track of whether or not I was contracting or not. My eyes seemed to cross as I go into never never land.
I have been assuming that if I get involuntaries or shuddering, or lots of anal movement (not necessarily thrusting in my case), or quivering, then the combination (position, lube, contractions, relaxation, and Aneros model) are on the money.
Doesn't necessarily mean super o or road to super o but at least the combination is ok. Is this correct? Or, does that constitute too much emphasis on involuntaries and I should try different positions unrelated to onset of involuntaries?
Any comments would be appreciated especially since I have seen a number of posts saying involuntaries sidetracked folks.
Thanks,
Tripper
Good morning Trip,
Voluntaries have not necessarily been a huge part of my sessions because they happened so seldom unless I am Super O'ing. During a Super O, they are definately going on, but they are really not in the forefront of my head. What I do know is that if you have a traditional penile orgasm with the Aneros inserted, that sucker really jumps around! They are part of the orgasm process, so I think since you are experiencing them along with the body shuddering that you are on the right track. Your body is talking to you now. You are just going to build on these experiences and it will happen. If you are experiencing these events then try to move to another position it might be distracting and break the momentum. I could be full of crap and moving might be exactly what you should do, so I guess what I am saying is that you need to experiment to see what is best for you.
One of my favorite recollections of involuntaries is when I had a feeling like someone running their finger down the keyboard of a piano up on one side and down the other. That can go on for a while and is a pretty cool sensation.
There have been times when voluntaries would kick in if I was holding say a 50% contraction for a while.
Good luck this week.

Hey All!
It took me a couple of months to get to the stage of having substantial p-waves and some involuntaries. The ability to ride p-waves really kept me going for the next few months. (they were getting better and better)
Finally at maybe 8 months I had my first mini-O...from this opoint on, everything started happening in fairly rapid succession! (mini-O, then multiple mini's, then Super O's and mini's, etc.)
I would say the involuntaries are more the effect of an O now, rather than a trigger that causes one, at least for me??? (I only have them during an O,)
As for pre-cum, erections, and body shakes...I don't have any of these! (first time I have said this...guess I may feel I am lacking in some way???)
Yes! I have many wonderful orgasms, but they are not full-body, with shakes, body spasms and all that people talk about! I would probably enjoy this very much, but so far it hasn't happened???
Another thing, at this point, I don't even need to do contractions any more! They just happen naturally, when they happen??? In the beginning of the O period tho, I used only light contractions and waited for my body to take-over from there!
Don't know if this helps,
Hlaser99
Hi Hlaser99,
I wanted to make a brief comment on what you said....
"As for pre-cum, erections, and body shakes...I don't have any of these! (first time I have said this...guess I may feel I am lacking in some way???)"
In my opinion, erections and pre-cum are just not necessary and can be a distraction to what is happening. I spend most of my time on my stomach, so I dont think that they contribute anything to the event. I have stated a couple of times in other posts that I dont get many erections. What I get in pre-cum is pretty minor. I have read where it sounds like some guys need buckets to control the flow. I get drops and that is about it.
On the body shakes issue, I had to think about that. I really dont have them happen much either now that we talk about it. I do find that the more my body moves, the less intense the orgasm. I have heard people talk about writhing all over the bed. Not me. I am generally pretty still. There are times when I will be in the middle of a Super O and my back will spasm which draws it to a close quickly. I do have an interesting thing that happens sometimes when my eyes will both start to twitch. I will lose complete control of them. I try to keep them closed and they will flutter. It is pretty odd actually.
I think that it is all about finding out what works for you and realize that it will be completely different from some guys and pretty similar to others.

oh wow... last night i had my best session ever. ive been working really late recently so i havent had much time to use my mgx. last night i re-read my earlier post and realised that i have been getting lazy recently and have just been using my aneros on a whim and havent really been dedicating enough energy to it. anyways last night i reaaaaallly relaxed, lay on my side for 20 minutes just relaxing, as the original instructions recommend, then moved to my back and BOOM! it only lasted about 5 seconds but it felt like a 'central nervous system O'... literally my whole body was sizzling. however, no erection, precum (i think its pronounced more like preSum) or body shakes. I never focus on achieving any stepping stones like involuntaries etc, nor do i even focus too much on my prostate or perenium, although im pretty sure i also had a 'perenium orgasm' later on, if such a thing exists.
ive heard someone mention something about 'pleasure threshold'. i find once the HUGE sensations kick in, your heart beats so rapidly and youre so stimulated that you kind of snap out of it. i find though, that each time i can hold the sensation for longer. if i can learn to hold on to it for 30-60 seconds, it will be SO intense, i cant even imagine it! good luck to all!
I just want to thank the contributors to this thread, it is definitely one of the most enlightening and instructive I have had the pleasure to read.
I've been loosely on the case for over a year now but was unwell for most of last year so didn't make a fat lot of progress until a few months ago. I have experienced lots of mini Os, p waves and involuntary contractions and in fact a mild yet unmistakeable full body wave many times, nowadays even outside of my sessions with the Aneros but have yet to experience anything I could honestly prefix 'super'. The best experience I ever had was an extended full body orgasm using ksmo with no stim of any kind. That was a few years ago now and I was unable to repeat it for some reason. That experience began at the perineum and spread upwards causing beautiful feelings and tears of happiness.
The closest I have come to super O (and this has happened a lot of times now) is a wave beginning low down in my body and shooting upwards, really feeling like it's going to take off when the following happens..
As the wave hits my heart area my body interprets this (this is a bit hard to explain sorry but I'm hoping someone can relate to this) in a very similar way to the feeling of dissonance one feels when (say) you realise you have locked your keys in the car or missed an important appointment. A real physical feeling in the chest.
My wife says she knows the feeling and suggests it's my body interpreting 'energy' flow in the only way it has previously related. She suggests smiling into the heart area which I am doing. Any other ideas or related experiences anyone has please say, I would be really grateful!
One last point is my involuntary contractions have recently started to appear in strange places. Last week I was in a session and my tongue started fluttering quite hard. Last night the same thing happened to my top lip. Not saying this is important or even desirable but all of the above seems to indicate that the aneros is very close to working with my body in the desired way.
Thanks for lisening guys, cheers Mu1ti

Thanks Buster,
I appreciate hearing that my experiences are shared by a long-time user of Anerose, like you! Makes be feel like I am steering along my progress with great, expert help???

I know this is a bit of thread necromancy, but I've been wanting to post in this thread for months and today I finally can. This thread has been a symbol of hope to me, knowing that many others have struggled with their progress and were able to break through, and I want to add to this symbol so that others might benefit from it as I have.
After 4 months of struggling, I've had my first offical non-ejaculatory orgasm! I know 4 months isn't a long period of time, as others have taken double or triple that, but it is long enough for self-doubt to eat away at a person, and it feels like a giant weight has been taken off my chest.
What changed for me:
A few weeks ago I've noticed that by holding a contraction with perhaps a little movement the feelings in my prostate would amplify and feel quite pleasurable. This was quite different than what I've been doing in my Aneros sessions over the last four months. I was so bogged down with details (such as how to contract, breathing, positions, involuntaries, etc...) that I was more focused upon causing a reaction than just feeling pleasure for what it is and not what it could be. Information overload would be a good term to describe how I felt, there were just so many different factors that I've learned on this board, it is a miracle my head didn't burst.
However, tonight I decided to throw all of that out of the window and just enjoy the pleasure, much like I've been doing outside of sessions. I simply laid on my side and let the pleasure build on its own, only gently nudging it in my mind as I held a small contraction. I didn't worry about any details, I didn't even conciously contract. As the pleasure built, I did not try to force an orgasm or overthink things, but rather just relaxed and let things be. Within maybe 5-10 minutes I had my first offical non-ejaculatory orgasm and it did not disappoint at all.
You can read more details in my blog, but this is the jist of what I did differently.
Hi Ashlen!
Congratulations on your success!
