Thin or Thick layer of vaseline?

When using only vaseline, is it best to use a small amount, because it stays viscous (sp?) long, or do you find it dries up fast, and thus need to glob it on the toy and inside you. Sometimes I find that I have a hard time telling when I need to re-lube, and that can kill my momentum. I'm hoping the advice of the room will help me manage my lube situation better. BTW, right now all I have is vaseline, I'm getting some boybutter asap. Thanks everyone in advance 🙂

@Spanishguy69 I had used Boy Butter (Original) for most of my sessions. It was my "go-to" lube. You won't be disappointed.

I started making my own lube based off the natural jelly posts - I use shea butter, beeswax, and almond oil and have it a little on the thin side (it's slightly more solid than Vaseline but melts quick and is plenty slick / oily). Since switching to this mix I have found I can use less compared to when I was using Aneros or other thick liquid lubes and still have a slick device after a couple of hours.

I've not used boy butter but from what I've heard about it I would think the same would be true.

You can only get so much Vaseline to stick b/c once inserted your sphincter will rub the excess off. You don't need to glob it on, just a moderate to thin coat works well. I use a water-based gel over the Vaseline, sometimes pre-lubing with additional water-based, sometimes not.

If you freeze your Aneros, you can put on a much thicker coat that freezes on and won't rub off on insertion, but as it warms, the Vaseline melts and lubes your insides. It seems to work quite well.

I like a thin coat of vaseline on the toy for very extended sessions, but always a very thick lube & pre-lube with a dry perineum.
Enjoy the Journey
