lve obviously seen quite a few topics reading the forum but its never been actually answered or at least lve not seen an actual answer.

lve been using aneros for quite a while, however from what lve read about pre-lubing its about giving the device a kind of liquid environment to allow it to move easier and hit the right spots.. up till now lve only use a small amount of pre-lubing because the syringe l use is pretty small (however lve invested in a larger one which lm waiting on to get delivered).

my main guess is there is no real thing as too much lube, that is to say most consider "too much" as being it leaks out and causes a mess.. however lm contemplating some experimentation but l was interested in seeing how many ml others used in their pre-lube so that l had a starting point of sorts to experiment from. any replies and recommendations would be appreciated.

I use 5 ml and I never had any problems, beside if you forget to have a bowel movement. If you forgot you may want be on the toilet when you remove the device.

I suppose injecting so much lube that it acts like an enema would be TOO MUCH LUBE but your proposal to do a little personal experimentation is a good idea. In the Aneros WIKI Getting Started section it recommends about 10ml (2-3 teaspoons) of injected liquid lube as a starting point. As you become more experienced you can increase or decrease this amount to whatever suits your comfort level. Good Vibes to You !

in that case 2/3 teaspoons what would that amount to in terms of ml on the side of a syringe?

I use 10ML, 5 ml of thin, 5ml of thick. Seems to work, though I'm always trying different things with it.

Also forgot to mention... j-lube. You can mix it to your own desired consistency and that stuff is SLICK.

short answer: Yes, "too much lube" can occur. I used to be a 5ml for a small toy and 8ml for a large toy but have ceased measuring and find I am using less lube than four or five years ago.

boorish answer: The Johns Hopkins tests of commercial water-based lubes reported observable quantities of lube and colon lining disturbances from some of the lubes as far as 22 inches inward from the anal sphincter. The measurements were taken 30 minutes after lube injection. We have no idea how those guys were prepped, what their posture might have been or what contraction exercises they might have been doing.

"Enough" lube will vary with each individual, the type of lube, the selected Aneros tool (and the model -- Ice finish, silicone jacketed or older 'raw' Acetal or Polystyrene surface.
