Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bragging the title isn’t about me. 🙂 It’s about the pulse and heartbeat.

During one of my recent sessions, as I was enjoying the interaction between my heartbeat and the involuntary movements of various muscles, a metaphor came to mind: my pulse acts like an orchestra conductor, directing a band of muscles to play in harmony.

Let’s rewind time a bit. A year ago, I was struggling with the 'do nothing' method during my sessions. I couldn’t really feel any involuntary movements, and I was hesitant to ask for advice on the forum. The only thing I sometimes felt was my pulse near my sphincter. It wasn’t pleasurable; in fact, it was rather annoying, like a hammering sensation at times. But since I didn’t have any other sensations to focus on, I made peace with it and began directing my attention to that feeling, with curiosity. After a while, I noticed that my PC muscles started to faintly follow the rhythm of my pulse.

Nowadays, when I begin a session, I start by focusing on the pulse near my sphincter. I welcome it with joy and, figuratively speaking, I sit back and wait for the orchestra to begin. As usual, the PC muscles are the first to 'play,' following the pace of my pulse convulsing quickly when I feel a wave of pleasure and slowing down at other times. Soon after, my legs join in, followed by my abdominal muscles. As the orchestra plays and the sensations gradually build to a crescendo, pleasure fills my mind. I forget about the conductor, but it’s always there, guiding the band. And I wonder which muscles it will convince to join the 'Super-O' band next time!

I really enjoy my sessions with this approach it makes them exciting. My mind is less likely to wander when it has this playful focus.

What’s your experience with heartbeat and pulse? How often do you feel it, and where? And how do you respond to it?

I have found that my sessions are actually about not focusing on involuntaries and even ignoring them. And when I think that nothing is happening in between this is when real thing happens. I feel like being charged with energy because now and then I feel some pleasurable warm feeling down there in the area of prostate and lower parts of the spine. Before I realised this I was a bit stuck in expectation of whether something happens or not.
