Strange perception of self

Hey everyone,

I'm totally new to everything associated with the Aneros, and this is my first post to the community.

I recently purchased my first Aneros (the MGX) a couple weeks ago and finished up my 3rd or 4th session just a few moments ago. This previous session was by far my most unique and pleasurable, but something stands out from this session as completely new to me, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. I had my Aneros in for about 30 or 40 mins and was deeply relaxed and focused on contractions. I was doing my best to clear my mind and focus on my prostate, visualizing the Aneros in contact with it and deriving pleasure from this. I started to get small waves of pleasure, like I have before, but they kept building this time, and I could feel something that felt a lot like the onset of a typical orgasm. It felt like I came very close to orgasm, and the only thing that seemed to keep me from achieving this was a change in my self perception.

I keep my eyes closed and try to focus deeply on my contractions and prostate during sessions. However, as this orgasmic feeling built, I started to feel differently about my body. It's hard to describe, but my whole body suddenly started to feel much larger, almost more immense. Perceptions of distance between my upper body and lower body seemed to greatly increase, with my prostate and Aneros feeling farther away somehow. Like I said, I suddenly felt larger overall. This only felt this way with my eyes closed. If I opened my eyes, I could again focus on my body normally, but it took away from my focus on the Aneros and the pleasurable feelings.

Eventually I was able to shake this odd perception, but it kept creeping up on me as pleasure would increase and as my eyes were closed.

Had anyone else ever felt anything else like this? Any idea what is going on? Like I said, this was a much more pleasurable Aneros session and I felt very close to a hands free orgasm for the first time.

Thank you all, and I look forward to hearing back from you all!

Trav

I think this is pretty common. I get this expanded self sensation about 10-minutes into a session. Many times, I'll get a floating sensation as the deep, in and out, throbbing sensations from the Aneros make my prostate feel like it's generating energy waves and sending them throughout my entire body. I'd imagine this is a dopamine cascade washing the brain, coming from the stimulation of the rectal, anal and prostate nerves. It's very relaxing and peaceful while being sexually stimulating at the same time. I think this is what some refer to as "calm seas orgasm".

Hey Trav,
Thanks for the accurate post. Short answer, Yes. Your description of this as a shift in self-perception was most valuable to me. I'd not thought of it that way--you're amazingly right-on with my general experience. Rather though, I've interpreted this as a sensation of my body being turned inside out as the orgasm unfolds. Such an amaziing similarity though.

Stay with what you are doing !!! (The show gets better)

If it's daylight I usually close my eyes to turn off the "real" images from my visual gaze. However, both the "real" and "mind" images are both present and I'm able to concentrate on either.

Is your "body self-perception" viewed from inside or from a third party perspective /?
