Hi folks. Sorry for my bad english but I don't write a lot in this language.

I'm an aneros' user from about 8 years, I own a Progasm, a Helix and a MGX. Unlikely I broke the P-tab of the Progasm (after several years of use) and I will soon replace it because is my favourite.
Anyway almost every session that I have is very very pleasurable, however I reached orgasm just a couple of time with aneros in and a couple of time a-less.
Since I moved out (about two years ago) I usually have two or three sessions per week and I learned a lot about aneros use BUT I think that I have to work on two objective:

- reduce penile masturbation
- control the stronger contraction during P-waves before orgasm

I'm 30 and have really high arousal level, I masturbate one or twice a day and I find VERY difficult to avoid masturbation for over two days. I have a girlfriend that I see only on week end (she lives far from me), usually we have sex 2-3-4 times in these days but often I still have the urge to masturbate in the week end. I'm not obsessed by sex, I always had high arousal level. I found that avoiding masturbation or sex for some days increase the effectiveness of aneros (and it's commonly know by almost every users) but here's the other problem: when I have higher level of arousal I almost reach orgasm then BAM! A stronger contraction or two ruins everything. These stronger contraction break the rythm and my arousal drops down.

By now I'm trying a different tecnique: I'm avoiding penile masturbation and I use aneros instead of traditional masturbation. Using aneros can relax, help to relief stress and also drop a little bit my arousal so I hope that will work for me to prevent the stronger contraction.

Any advice?

For now, try to cut down on penis contact type masturbation. Notice I said cut down, not eliminate. Try to replace some of that penile masturbation with aneros play where you don't touch your penis. Let it take you where it wants to go. Sometimes it might just feel good. Sometimes you might have a dry orgasm. Sometimes you might have a wet orgasm [orgasm with ejaculation] with no penis touching.

That said, you say that sometimes when you have a high level of arousal and use the aneros that you have a strong contraction or two that then breaks the rhythm and your arousal drops. Is that a bad thing? Maybe its a good thing - maybe that strong contraction or two is a dry orgasm and then you are supposed to have your arousal drop. Maybe having reduced arousal sometimes is a good thing.

They're definetely NOT dry orgasm. I had few dry orgasm and that's totally different. Usually I'm just very close and then the stronger contractions break the spell and the magic is over. Maybe is "body memory" that still want a penile orgasm and try to push it out.

Anyway I add that during sessions I totally not touch penis but I put emphasis on nipple stimulation and caress over the body. My sessions are about 40-60 minutes and after that I had a traditional O. By now I'm trying to avoid the traditional after the sessions.
