Ive recently noticed that my aneros vice is beggining to seem to, er...fall apart. I havent done anything extreme with it. Ive used vasoline as lubricant yet Ive begun to notice visible dents and marks in my vice that werent there before and this worries me. also if I rub the material the silicon will seem to rub off as whenever i touch the vice now material seems to be pulled away.
This worries me! I dont want my investment to dissapear. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks!

Hello, chrono.
If the surface is deteriorating, disintegrating like a black rubber hose left in the sun for too many years, that indicates the material has been attacked by something. The usual nemesis of silicone toys is silicone-based lubricant. Vaseline won't harm silicone. I've been using Vaseline and Olive Oil on my Vice for almost 3 months, at least 3 times a week and there are no signs of deterioration.
Is it at all possible that you used the Vice after another toy, which was lubed with silicone without rinsing yourself out? I can't think of any other lubes that would attack silicone. It's also possible your Vice was defective from the start and it took awhile for the problems with the material to manifest themselves.
I suggest emailing Aneros Support if you haven't already done so.
Sincerely,
Dave
chrono273,
I agree with 'ten_s_nut', you should contact Support, explain the circumstances of use and request a RMA so that a physical examination might be performed. This doesn't sound like anything we members can help you with.
i am sure it is obvious, but in case it isn't: STOP USING IT.
