something burns down there

Ok, I ve been using aneros off and on a while now like only once every few months because whenever i put it in the lining of my rectum burns

at first I thought it was because of spicy foods but now im sure its not this

I have narrowed it down to 3 options

first it could be the lubricant, it contains glycerin so that could be irritating it i guess, also after I use the aneros i usually have to go to the toilet and I usually have some bowel movements even if not much comes out because it seems my body wants to get rid of the excess lube

second it could be due to the fact that im mildly allergic to wheat so i will try not eating wheat for a while then using it again

third it could be because of the soap I use to clean it but i doubt it could stay on after i rise it off so well

what do you guys think? can anyone recommend me a very mild nonirritating lube that does not contain glycerin and that is safe to use? thanks so much

as a side note today was the first day I felt something erotic using the device despite the fact there was still burning im sure if i could get rid of this burning things would progress pretty quickly

I am little leary of the lubes on the market. I have tried using pure-organic coconut oil. I usually heat up the coconut oil to body temperature and use the syringe to put some in the rectum. I use the equate brand of KY on the aneros because the skin will soak up the coconut oil. This seems to work fine with me. The coconut oil by itself is not slippery enough though, for whatever reason. I am extremely concerned about my health as well and don't want any reactions. I am not sure that there are any lubes out there that contain just natural ingredients. Coconut oil and olive oils are the only ones that I know are pure and natural. The body loves both of them.

Hi nervetweak,

Glycerin based lubes can cause irritation for some people. You may want to try a glycerin-free based lube such as Maximus. It's thick and is perfect for anal play.

I also have irritation sometimes, but when I do, it means that my rectum is not clean. I can usually confirm this by removing the Aneros and seeing a small amount of fecal matter on it. I used to rinse before each session but now I don't do that as often. If I get this irritation, I'll either rinse out my rectum or just skip the session and try again on another day.

Hope this helps,

Onthepath

I agree entirely with ffd71. I'm pretty sure its the glycerin that burns just as it burns ones hands if they are chapped. I too use only pure coconut oil. My philosophy concerning lubes is, if you can't eat or drink it then don't put it in your rear end.

Where I live, coconut oil is liquid most of the year. I like to cool the massager and then dip it in the oil. This gives it a nice coating of solidified oil. Then I pop it in quickly before the oil melts. 8)

For external use (from thighs to collar bone) I have Aura Cacia Exotic Massage Butter, the most sumptuous stuff known to man. But last time I ordered from Aura Cacia it was listed under "closeouts" so I purchased 10 jars at $4.19 each (a great price) as it looks as though it is being discontinued 🙁

I have been a long time fan of coconut oil (for eating purposes)

oh ya it works ok for masturbation lube as well

It will also have the added advantage of being a natural antimicrobal meaning it will reduce the chance of introducing any unwanted germs into the rectum directly

so you can use just coconut oil or does it get absorbed by the rectum too quickly?

Just coconut oil, pure and simple. It lasts for hours with me.

I was only recommending the Exotic Massage Butter for external use, as it smells good too. But of course coconut oil is just fine both inside and out for hours on end of sumptuous self indulgence.

I have tried using just coconut oil and it seems to be a little harder and not as slick when placing the aneros inside so I started using a little Equate brand KY just outside the anus and some on the aneros to get it to go in easier. I wish I could just only use Coconut oil though. I am concerned about the long term effects of the other stuff.

Grand Tiger, what are you actlually doing and how much of the coconut oil? It just seems a little drier and don't move as good for me. Whats your take on this?

Coconut oil is liquid at body temperature, and is liquid most of the year in Arizona, but will be solid in cooler climates. So I cool my massager in the fridge (not freezer) and then dip it in the oil which solidifies on contact and puts a good solid coating on it. Then I pop it in as quickly as possible so the oil goes in with it before it has time to melt. Once inside it quickly melts and becomes super slippery. That's all, I don't need to pre-lube myself first.

If your coconut oil is already solid at room temperature, then I guess you can just rub some onto the massager with your finger, if it isn't so cold that the oil is too solid to spread. It's never that cold here, so I don't know. You could warm it up, but whatever you do, do NOT put it in the microwave!

I don't ever us the microwave!!!! When I heat up the oil, aneros, and lube I just use hot water in a container and lay all these in that so they get nice and warm. After about 10-15 minutes or so they feel really good going in.

I have not tried the cool method, however the coconut oil does solidify in my area because it gets cold here. I tried placing some coconut oil, about two 5-7 cc syringe fulls, inside the rectum and then coating the aneros with it and it still felt kinda dry going in compared to the Equate brand of KY that i use. Let me know your thoughts.

I dunno really. The Aneros models have a matte finish to help keep the lubricant in place, but I polished mine and found it worked more smoothly. I used metal polish first and finished off with sodium bicarbonate, but it was hard work to get a glossy finish. You could try it. If you don't like it that way, its easy to recreate the original matte finish with some very fine sandpaper.

ok so i used some extra virgin coconut oil made by nutiva and it made a world of a difference compared to the ky jelly. There was much less burning but nevertheless there was still some mild burning. I am beginning to think that I may need to flush things out beforehand with an emema or something like that? I am going to try a few different brands of coconut oil

nervetweak,

Check out the thread http://aneros.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=768 about half way down – “CLEANING OUT WITH ENEMAS” by BF Mayfield.
