Part testimonial, part questions and concerns.
It was almost a year ago that I had my first experience with my aneros powerful enough to call an orgasm. My sessions are rarely duds, quite enjoyable, really, but orgasms have been a rare occurrence. In fact, after that first time, it was something like six months later before I had a similar experience, where this rush of tingling went from my torso down to my toes, like the last half of a traditional orgasm, but lingering and more intense. Was it a super-orgasm? I think so. It didn't have me flopping around or moaning, but it was definitely unique and powerful.
Other than those two, it's been...I don't want to say frustrating, but it's like I'm being teased by this inanimate piece of plastic. I know that the intensity of sensation I'm getting is such that, if I were having sex with my wife, I would already be having an orgasm. I'd work up to a state of intense stimulation and hang there...and hang there, until things started to taper off on their own or I decided to end the session.
Last night was different, and I'm trying to make sense of it, because there are a lot of variables involved. I was listening to the Hypnaeros CD, which is pretty normal, and lying in my usual, comfortable supine position in my darkened bedroom. I only own one Aneros model, the Helix, and have a pretty established routine of cleaning out and lubing that I see no way to improve upon at this point. I tend to favor more or less the "do nothing" method, as my body is pretty well-trained now to respond with contractions to the stimulus from deep, belly breathing. I use nipple stim, though lately I've noticed that you have to use that stuff in moderation or it tends to override everything else. In this case, I used very light, infrequent touches, though near the end I think it was more constant.
One change from the norm was that it had been several days since having sex. My wife got a yeast infection, which is rare for her, and we ordinarily have a very active and fulfilling sex life. I choose not to orgasm every time I have sex, by the way, to keep my interest high and keep up with my wife's wonderfully potent sex drive :). It had also been several days since my last Aneros session, which got interrupted early. I use it about 2-3 times a week, so it had been almost a week since my last full session. I'm hoping that the first of these factors is not significant, and what I've seen of others' experiences suggests that I shouldn't worry that I'll have to pick between traditional sex and the Aneros (traditional sex would win, but I'd miss the Aneros).
Another change from my usual sessions was that I hit upon this bit of erotic imagery, for lack of a better word, which is difficult to describe. It was really as much an imagined feeling, as an image, of my body aching to be filled. It seemed to make every sensation more intense than usual, and it was noticeable if I stopped using it. The final difference that I was aware of was that, when I felt the intensity of stimulation reaching a peak, I tried to imagine my orgasm as a building wave, ready to come crashing over me at any moment once it had built high enough.
And then it did. I felt this familiar sort of fluttering sensation, almost, but not quite, the same as what I would feel from a traditional orgasm just before it broke. From there it's all a bit cloudy in my mind. I could not say how long it lasted, only that it did end eventually, and was followed up by at least two more as I returned to the same mental imagery each time. I was really in a strange state, feeling like I was somewhere between dreaming and awake. I remember some very odd imagery and feelings of disassociation. I have this image of a boulder of quartzite rock that popped in there at some point and stayed with me. I think you would probably describe it as the Calm Seas type of orgasm.
Of course, my biggest concern is that, once again, it's going to be six months before everything lines up perfectly again, but I'm trying to put that worry aside. I was just wondering if anyone saw anything familiar in what I described and whether, as I suspect, it was just a matter of hitting the right state of mind. As I mentioned before, I've often felt perplexed that my body could withstand the amount of stimulation it was getting and NOT reach orgasm.
sounds like everything is going fantastically. be thankful for what you have got, and let go of the worries.
I agree with Darwin. Relax and don't worry about how or when you'll have another pleasurable experience with your Aneros. Sounds like traditional sex with your wife is the principal sexual pleasure you enjoy and the Aneros, as in my marriage, fills in the in between times when she can't or isn't interested, though your married sexual activity sounds like it's more frequent than mine.
A suggestion came to mind though. You've been using the one model for quite a length of time, and after a few months of training at "rewiring" with my Helix I finally began to experience some real breakthroughs when I acquired a Eupho which seems to reach "the spot" much better, so you might give this a consideration. Otherwise sounds like you're perfectly on track to me.
I have gotten to a state many times that creates imagery on it's own without my input.
That "hallucination" as you may call it is in my opinion entirely normal.
What you experienced by my definition would defiantly be a type of orgasmic bliss and as you say "how could I not have had an orgasm from this" well because it was an orgasm you simply have a terminology that doesn't quite describe it.
Keep on your practice and next time you feel something coming on try to note the sensations that built it, you may wind up unlocking knowledge to re-create such scenarios.
Hello, Scott.
Great report. Congrats! Looks to me like you've experienced two of the common types of Super-Os: the Big Body Wave and Calm Seas. The "head trip" part is key. The next thing you may experience, sooner rather than later is a combination of imagery and full body spasms or Dry-Os. Remember to breathe. It's easy to neglect that when you're really flying. As Darwin said, don't worry about nomenclature or what anybody else calls these things, just go with the flow. Enjoy.
Best Regards,
Dave
If you believe in those crazy Chinese Taoist, the serotonin in the guts are release into the blood stream to reach your brain, such you get a high. Hallucination is normal when you're high.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I will look into getting a Eupho next and see if adding some variety helps things along. I suppose the best thing I could do is forget about trying to recreate that great session I had two weeks ago and just live in the moment, but it's hard. For a long time there I was just enjoying what I had, but then that sneaky Super O had to pop in and let me know what I was missing.
Not that I'm complaining;). 😉
As to your point, hydrogen, I tend to think of myself as very open-minded to new experiences and spirituality, but that's tempered by a skeptical mind. I'm really more of a thinker than a feeler, and while I can understand and appreciate, say, the concept of the microcosmic orbit, I don't know that I really accept it on the level that I would need to for it to make any difference.

Some people believe everything happens for a reason. I say you can find reasons for everything that has happened.
In the aneros practice journey, one day, you might sense a real current random running inside your body, most list around your spine or around your chest. Most likely, it feels harmless, sometimes even make you feel energized. But sometimes, it makes your heart miss a few beat and give you a headache. You feel scared about this unknown intruder. What would you do? Maybe you'll remember "microcosmic orbit" theory, and start reading about it. then it's not a theory anymore, it becomes a instruction manual.
Yes, don't "try" to recreate what happened in any one session that seemed more successful than another--a common pitfall early on. Just relax and see where each individual experience will take you.
Personally I don't believe in a "spiritual" or mystic aspect to sessions. To me it's physically training a biofeedback mediated reflex process in which your anal and rectal muscles become involved in a sustained fatigue-caused involuntary "spasm" that drives the massager's movements in such a way that the nerves overlying the posterior aspect of your prostate right in front of the anterior rectal wall that travel down to your penis become stimulated such that orgasm is produced, similarly to how those nerves where they end in the penis are stimulated from traditional penile manipulation to produce orgasm--only the orgasm produced from stimulating them from the inside is dissociated from the ejaculatory process, hence the "dry orgasm" that can come again and again with no refractory.
Nonetheless, I am a spiritual person, and marvel while wildly enjoying the sensations produced internally that we're made in such a way that this gift to male sexual and genitourinary function is possible.
Wow, that was incredibly well stated (slimjm). From a medical / scientific viewpoint that seems spot-on. However I have felt such incredible bliss from the experiences that the mind/body/spirit connection should not be discounted. There are times when the experience is so overwhelmingly pleasurable that I do feel more connected to God, and at peace with the universe. During those sessions I do sometimes experience altered states of consciousness where I feel I am connected to the "Divine Feminine". This experience would be similar, I think, to the hallucinations expressed by "imperium". My feeling of connectedness sometimes last for hours to days after a session. During that period, I am more sensitive and in-tune to the beauty of all women I encounter. It is an interesting self-observation, which I find difficult to adequately express in words.
slimjim; No doubt, you've defined the physical and nervous system aspects of Aneros interaction perfectly. One thing I've noticed that many doctors miss about bodily sensations is, the nervous system is an extension of the brain. In that respect, every interpretation of any input is "in your head." If a person is open to it, the higher consciousness, thinking part of the brain can get involved in Aneros sessions. That can yield all kinds of special effects, like feelings of flying, being "high," hallucinations, cosmic awareness, and so on. Some guys enjoy these aspects and others block them out entirely. Best Regards, Dave.
Admittedly, I was seeking to describe what seems to me to be occurring in terms of the physical responses in the Aneros driven prostate orgasmic experience. But certainly that does not diminish the the peaceful, super-relaxed feeling I also experience in the process. It makes me wonder if that's more like what my wife experiences during orgasm for her, rather than what I experience as a guy during the oh--oh--squirt--squirt--ahhhh short-lived pleasure of traditional male orgasm and ejaculation. Also makes me wonder if like an Aneros driven prostate orgasm, orgasm comes for her sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
Quite early on in my Aneros journey, I adopted the "do nothing" approach. It had it's benefits. Lately though, I have more success with maintaining a "light contraction" at all times; even after the high "near orgasms" appear. When you say your need for orgasm, I presume you're referring to 'dry" ones? That can be a damper for me, if I begin well, but then I head off on a tangent of needed a wet finish (hands free ejaculation). I've never had one and it's pursuit nullifies all the good of a dry one. So I end up having neither. The times I maintain the slight contracting, aim for beautiful super "os", dry orgasms, I have a stellar experience.
Agreed, Bill. Maintaining a light PC contraction focusing on the urinary sphincter with that contraction and not on the anal sphincter, and while doing that lightly tickling my nipples, really brings on the orgasms quickly. With experience it becomes more automatic and so you don't think about it, hence I think the "do nothing" or "relax" approach that's often referenced. But for those early in the journey, focusing on the light contractions and nipple or other non-penile touching techniques and "listening" very attentively to what you're feeling inside, looking for those quivering anal contractions and warm feelings building behind your pubic bone area, is a most helpful approach.
sounds like you are doing good man, maybe also try another aneros model i got the progasm and the helix and LOVE to be able to switch between the two as the experiences are VERY different also making me consider buying yet another model.
