I bought the Helix about a month ago and have been using it every two or three days for a half hour to an hour. But I am not getting anything out of it. Some background info: I am experienced in anal play and VERY in tune with the sensations of ye ole back door. I would say that I am small in stature, at 5'10" but only 155 pounds. I had a vasectomy about 2 years ago followed by some bouts of prostatitis and testicular pain. I was made aware of the hidden power of the prostate during an exam in which my urologist milked my prostate to check the prostatic fluid for signs of infection. Probably the single most bizarre experience of my life. But what an eye opener! If it were not such a clinical setting, and if it were my wife's finger instead of some old dude's, I would have described it as "mind blowing" and hosed the exam table down. So I knew my prostate was something I wanted to further explore. I tried reaching it with my own finger, but cannot reach it, or my finger doesn't bend that way, or something. The wife won't do it. She's an anal one way street. So I somehow stumbled onto the Aneros Wiki. After considering it for about 2 months I finally bought the Helix.
My question is: Could the Helix be passing over my prostate and be in too deep for my body? Would the SGX work better for me? Or do I just need to give it more time? When I insert it ,I breifly get the urge to pee feeling and the pleasurable pressure feeling welling up from deep within that I remember from the exam, but that quickly passes as the Helix snaps into its full operating depth. I quickly get a decent amount of pre-cum. The tab barely puts any pressure at all on my perineum, but that is probably OK with me since I can be painfully sensitive when massaged on the outside. I also don't seem to get much movement during contractions. At one time I would have considered myself to have PC muscles made of steel, but married life has kind of relaxed it. The helix is about as large an item as I can handle. Going in feels nice and filling, but coming out, my sphincter wants to hold on to it. So going for the Eupho or Maximus seems too large. The Progasm simply scare me, so no consideration with those models. I just really have to question the SGX.
Any thoughts? All advice is greatly appreciated.
Sir,
Your problem is EXACTLY the same as mine. I'm really glad to have found someone else who is dealing with my issue. 😀
Read the post that I made titled "desperately seeking help......"
I feel the same way, except I'm using the MGX, an even SMALLER model.... yet, I feel as though the head of the massager goes right past the prostate. I discovered this after realizing I was encountering NO sensations at all... I get more pleasure from inserting a large buttplug which, for me, provides no prostate stimulation.
Upon removing the MGX I found that when it was taken halfway out I found a pressure point that seemed pleasurable and put pressure on my abdominal area. To me this seemed reminiscent of some of these testimonials... it was quite pleasurable and made me feel like urinating even though my bladder was empty.
I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs. as well, so our circumstances seem as similar as they can get. Honestly I'm going to be disappointed if I discover that my anatomy is different from all these other guys who achieve mind blowing orgasms. It seems like this is the case, but I'm still searching for someone who has had the problem you and I are experiencing only to discover that with time, it works.
😕
3/6 and Divinorum111 I am no pro at this type of stuff, but if I may make a suggestion. I for one have had pleasurable feelings with the smallest of the two in the Peridise beginners set. and I am 6'2.
Maybe it would be a good idea to purchase them for "re-wiring" purposes. As soon as you can master them, then go back to your previous models.
Just MHO
Peace

It is common not to feel any pleasure in the beginning leading to feeling like there's something wrong with you or you have the wrong 'size'. In fact one of the Milestones is no longer feeling like this -

I started out thinking like this and it's taken me awhile to notice any pleasure, just keep practicing.
Diesel2215,
Thank you for your insight. I'll give that some thought.
Deep,
Yes, I read the milestones on the WIKI a couple days ago. I felt better when I read it. I'm really hoping this is the case. Did you feel as though the head of the massager passed up your prostate?
I feel like maybe if it were to pivot more it would provide the correct stimulation.

Sometimes I feel pleasure at the point of contact sometimes I don't feel anything at all. I really think it depends on state of arousal and mood. The mind has to be ready. I'm still learning myself, so I'm thinking other posters could explain it better than I could.
Thanks for the replies guys. I will keep your recommendations in mind. I am going to keep soldiering on with the Helix. I am going to try a more throuogh internal lube application.
One other question about contractions. I stated that I didn't get very much movement out of the Helix by contracting. But I found out that by bearing down a bit and forcing the Helix partly out, and then contracting and pulling it back in, tha I get much more movement. Is this the right way to go about it, or do you rely strictly on contracting?
Thanks again!
3/6,
Welcome to the Forum,
You may wish to consider experimenting with ‘hlaser99’s “spacer” suggestion, see the thread desperately seeking help……..
On your contractions question, I would advise you to be flexible in thinking about techniques to be employed. I infer from your statement – “Is this the right way to go about it, or do you rely strictly on contracting?” that you may be thinking too rigidly about technique. Aneros use is all about enjoyment and having fun obtaining this form of pleasure. I would hope you can reframe your thoughts from “right way”/wrong way to something along the line of “this works for me”. Experiment freely with a variety of slightly differing methods, if you “…rely strictly on…” any one method, you may simply be digging a rut for yourself.
3/6,
Did you find that through doing this the P-tab put more pressure on your perineum?
I haven't had the chance to get back to it and test these things out, but it I would think what you're speaking of could be a way of getting into the movement of the thing and therefore providing more potential for stimulation.
Sometimes I feel pleasure at the point of contact sometimes I don't feel anything at all. I really think it depends on state of arousal and mood.
I've struggled with "you need to be aroused for it to work" for quite some time. I used to think this meant I needed to have a hard on, but after reading posts of people enjoying the aneros without one that couldn't be it. Then I thought I needed to get worked up and feel horney for it to work. Just as you describe, sometimes I would feel pleasure and other times doing the same think I wouldn't.
It seemed just after a wave of pleasure I would get nothing for a while. This happened over and over until I realized what I was doing. Somehow I developed a habit of putting my mind and energies elsewhere when I felt traditional penile pleasure. I must have developed this habit in an effort to last longer while making love.
As men, it seems we have a "shortcut" to ejaculation/orgasm (I know they are not the same, bare with me). It doesn't take much, if any, mental focus for us to achieve a traditional ejaculation. It's almost like we could be doing our taxes and if we get enough stimulation to our penis, blam we cum. From talking to my girlfriend, she constantly gives mental energy to maintain what she is feeling and this builds along with what she is feeling to orgasm. At first she didn't understand what I was asking her and said no, then she thought about it and said, "Well yea, of course I have to think about it the whole time." I would love to hear from the women in the group on this.
I find that while just laying there breathing, when I think about things that turn me on I start to feel pleasure within a few breaths, no contractions or pushing. When I find my mind wandering I don't feel pleasure even with contractions or pushing. Even while I'm feeling a lot of pleasure for an extended time, my mind will wander and shortly thereafter, so does the pleasure. It's tough at first to stay focused on what you are feeling and think arousing thoughts for an hour or two, but over time it gets easier and the pleasure grows.
I've achieved a few milestones with the helix, MGX, and Aneros Classic. Currently the MGX is where I'm making the best progress. I've enjoyed wonderful sensations and pleasure from the SGX as well. At first I was worried about the p-tab being too long, to short, or this isn't the right model for me. It's possible the SGX may work better for you, but as you discover your body more, I would think you should be able to feel pleasure with any model. Which model takes you over the edge into super-o land is probably another story.
I currently own the MGX, SGX, Aneros Classic (just a bit larger than the MGX w/p-tab further out), Progasm, and the Peridise complete set. (I'm wondering why they cost less on Amazon... ❗ )

3/6 have you had any luck with your experimentation?
This is crazy. I've even seen videos of guys during an aneros session now...
Mine seriously DOES NOT PIVOT like what I'm hearing it should do...
Divinorum1111. Sorry, I have been incommunicato while I wait on my cable company to replace my cable modem. Stupid cable company!
I think I have made some progress. I started lubing up better by injecting some KY. The bearing down and then contracting seems to be a dead end path. Internal lubing seems to have a big effect. A couple sessions of that and I start noticing something different about my contractions. I tighten the contraction and hold it, but upon the release, there is no smooth linear release. It feels as if my PC musscle is doing a ratcheting release, if that makes any sense. This would only seem to work while laying on my side/stomache with right knee pulled up perpendicular. If I changed position, it would not do this. I also get erections that come and go rather randomly.
I need about 36 hours in a day to get everything done that I want. I hope to get more time with my Helix soon.
How about you? Any progress?
