I've been an Aneros user for about 8 months now. At first, I'd spend quite a long time in sessions, up to 2 hours. In the beginning it felt like I was just getting to know my body. As things progressed over the next 6 months or so, I began having what I believe are dry orgasms. At first I wasn't able to identify them as orgasms, as there wasn't the familiar sense of complete release and let down from a traditional orgasm. A traditional orgasm for me feels like falling off an arousal cliff. There's an incredible rush as your are falling and then the arousal ends completely when you hit the ground. The orgasms I started having with the Aneros didn't feel like that, so I got it into my head that I must be missing out on something.
Moving forward to a couple of months ago, my orgasms started to feel more complete. Definitely not in the same way that a traditional orgasm feels like falling from a cliff, but with a more defined sense of release. An Aneros orgasm for me feels as though I'm suspended in ecstasy for a very intense 20-30 seconds (its hard to tell how long, time sort of stands still). After that feeling of suspension, there's a wave of resolution where I feel as though the tension of the orgasm has finally released and I'm allowed to breathe again. While this doesn't feel like falling off a cliff, its still incredible in a completely different way. After each orgasm, I feel like a relaxed, goopy mess... exactly how my wife looks after she has an orgasm.
Around the time that I finally accepted that what I was experiencing was indeed full orgasms, complete with resolution and release, I was able to achieve these orgasms much more quickly within my sessions. Now, I'll typically have my first orgasm within the first 5 minutes. The next follows about 5 minutes after, with more intensity. I typically reach a 3rd orgasm about 20-30 minutes into the session. Each one builds in intensity. Typically after 3 I'm completely spent, and while I could probably go on and have more, I'm very satisfied and don't really feel the need to continue.
On one occasion I was very horny and continued in this way for about an hour. Toward the end of that session I was completely lost in what I was feeling. I didn't really know how much time had passed until after the session when I looked at the clock. The feelings toward the end of that session might have been "super", but I'm not really sure. I look back at is as the best orgasmic experience of my life.. but it was so exhausting that I really haven't made an effort to duplicate it. My wife and I have frequent regular sex (daily), so I'm normally not that horny.
Based on my experience, I've got a couple of questions:
Is the orgasm experience I describe similar to others?
Have others been able to reach orgasms this quickly in their sessions? Is there more to be gained by pushing my sessions longer?
Hey @nomorewinter,
Is the orgasm experience I describe similar to others?
Absolutely - your description is dead-on! (You may see my entry in the "My First Super-O"-Thread for an elaborate explanation of my experiences. Be warned - it's a long read.)
Have others been able to reach orgasms this quickly in their sessions?
Can't talk for the others, but for it's the same. I'd say, it's a matter of learning and getting used to it. So this is rather a common trait amongst the vets.
Is there more to be gained by pushing my sessions longer?
Hm, I guess that's an individual thing. For me, sessions usually wear off after 1-1,5 hrs and I have my biggest orgasms after the first 30 - 45 mins. But I also had fantastic sessions that went like 3 hrs, so I would say the only limits are in your mind. You may experiment with pushing your comfort zone (regarding the session length) from time to time and see what happens.
Cheers, Unfug
Is the orgasm experience I describe similar to others?
YES & I agree with @Unfug too. There is a necessary paradigm shift in thinking about what constitutes an orgasm when using Aneros prostate massagers. Decoupling the ejaculatory experience from traditional penile stimulation is part of the rewiring process and this may be difficult for many men to accomplish. Over the past several years I've tried to convey to new members the importance to "Just Let Go !" of their old way of thinking & to let go of their myth regarding 'the Edge'. Other members have made significant contributions in aiding the understanding of this paradigm shift and I encourage you to read 'cockadoodle’s thread Penis, NOT, 'rook's thread Whole Body/Whole Mind - the mental side and 'Neros' thread The Myth of Super Orgasm.
Have others been able to reach orgasms this quickly in their sessions?
Some men have been fortunate to achieve prostate orgasms from their initial use while others seem to struggle to make the transition in thinking and action to achieve these types of orgasms. Why the disparity in time to 'rewire' is still a mystery but there are some identifiable suspects hindering one's progress.
Is there more to be gained by pushing my sessions longer?
IMHO, NO !, trying to push your body to produce effects/sensations is a fool's pursuit and may actually be counter productive when results do not meet expectations. While patience is certainly needed for you to attune to your body's processes, attempting to will your experience through force of ego is not likely to occur, such attempts at body control are illusory at best. You've already tuned into a technique which is working for you, is satisfying and fulfilling, you can certainly experiment with allowing your Anerosessions to extend longer but 'pushing' and expecting something more to occur is probably not going to yield good results. Your path will eventually evolve over time and this may include both long and short sessions, listening to your body and its needs will yield the most delicious fruit. Good Vibes to You !
sounds great! Keep going, seems like you have the sensations mastered and you should be able to feel maximum pleasure without having to keep going further. I never seem to achieve bigger orgasms the longer I go. I hit a wall at the 45+ minute mark and it literally feels like if I started to masturbate my penis it wouldn't do anything; all my sexual excitement and tension is gone because the pure prostate orgasms are so good, strong and depleting that I just don't need to do more.
I can have orgasms within 1 minutes sometimes depending on the toy and how ready I am to have a session. Sometimes it takes almost 10 minutes, other times it's almost instantly after inserting a toy.
My sessions are at least 1hr to never more than 2hrs. Typically, orgasms begin in 10 to 15 minutes after insertion with three or four in the 1st hour the 2nd hour usually includes a couple more nice orgasams as things begin to decline. The final stage of the session often ends in "calm seas" pleasure and eventually the end of the session. I feel very satisfied such that rarely have the desire to stretch it out further.
My sessions are usually 1-3 hours as I just get lost in time. Many times I don't experience many sensations, so I just relax and focus on what's happening and imagine special fantasies to help keep myself aroused. The HypnAerosession CD really helps me relax and focus on those feelings, and honestly has increased my sensitivity. When I first listened to it and relaxed back when I only had the Progasm, it honestly didn't do anything. This was because it was my 1st or 2nd week using an Aneros toy. Now, a year later, I went back to it and I can tell I've increased in sensitivity because it's been giving much more pleasurable sensations.
Thanks for all of the input! This in particular was a really good read, I wish I had found it earlier! myth regarding 'the Edge'
