Hello All,

A bit of context about me before I detail what happened. I've been using the Aneros on and off for the past 5 years or so, never with any real success. A handful of 'interesting' experiences but nothing ever that reassuring. Ive almost always used cannabis in combination with my sessions.

Recently I was diagnosed with a bout of costochondritis or inflammation of the muscles in the wall of my chest and in between the ribs and was experiencing a lot of anxiety due to the tightness and pain in my chest but was getting better at the point of this session.

Okay, so finally context aside I decided to have a session about 6 weeks ago (I was going to write this right afterward but was stricken with some serious lightheadedness thats still ongoing/trying to figure out). I smoked a few hits while using the eupho and listening to some porn. Pretty much immediately I started feeling interesting sensations, which I sort of relaxed and allowed to happen. The sensations began to build and my heart rate started to increase and increase and eventually it was starting to feel quite good but my heart was beating extremely fast and moreover extremely hard and continuing to increase, so I got a little worried and decided to stop.

I opened my eyes and removed the device and layed there for a second to let my heart rate slow a bit but then all the sudden I started my body started to seize up, literally from my toe to my jaw started to clench up uncontrollably and I started to get quite worried about what was happening so I stood up and got dressed and I decided to wake my grandmother (who I live with) and as soon as I started talking to her I started to feel woozy/lightheaded and having cold sweats - I felt as though my consciousness was receding and I was about to pass out. It ended up getting so bad that I had to call an ambulance since I didnt know what else to do. Eventually after talking with the paramedics and checking my vitals I calmed down.

I'm thinking the feeling of passing out was triggered by anxiety from the muscles seizing up and the heart rate speeding up.

I guess what I want to know is has anyone else had an experience similar to this before? Has anyone been concerned about their heart rate before and if so, what can I do to get past it? Or the body clenching up? Could that potentially be from being so close to cumming and then stopping maybe?

Any opinions/experiences are welcome, I just dont want to be so close after so long and then not be able to even have another session without worrying it will happen again. Thanks all!! Best wishes to you all 🙂

In my opinion, you need a full blood work done by your dr. And any other tests he deigns necessary. You shouldn’t feel like that in a session,I wonder is something else going on.

Did you look into anxiety disorders. It can trigger issues like you experienced, especially in combination with certain cannabis products. It's called a cannabis-induced anxiety disorder.

Not being a doctor I can only speak from my experience: I have checked my pulse after super Os expecting it to be very high, and it has been normal. I agree with both of the ahive comments. Pot gets me super anxious.

Light head sounds like possibly anxiety.... the bit after sounds like a full blown panic attack. Especially if paramedics gave you the all clear.

If you are concerned about your HR get a tracker and if you feel nervous check it. Most likely will not be that high. Smoking can also mess with your blood pressure. I think that even when the HR is not elevated if your pressure goes up it can feel like the heart is beating crazy quick but it is actually beating with more force.

Yeah I ended up going to the ER for some other stuff. Bloodwork/CT scan/EKG were all normal. The lightheadedness and almost passing out was, im pretty sure, a panic attack. But im not sure about the tremors/seizing up. Could be anxiety induced from me focusing on my heart too much/being high. I'm going to try again without any weed and see if that makes a difference.

But your heartrates dont speed up quite a bit? Has there ever been documented heart problems associated with using the aneros. I normally have a resting heart rate ~65 bpm so its pretty normal. I just get a lot of anxiety.

Thanks for the replies so far!

Whenever I start to get a good reaction from my prostate. It always starts by my heart rate climbing. The first time it happened it felt exactly like a panic attack which I have had a lot of in the past. Now I accept it as the start of something good. I also have a tendency to tense my midsection which I try not to do but it seems to be part of all the good sensations. I've never used pot in my life but I find If I have alcohol before a session it seems to numb my prostate and i'ts never as good. The sense of well being for days after a session outweighs any drawbacks.
