Rectum collapse?

During some sessions I've noticed an unusual feeling in my rectum. It's not painful, but unusual. It can only be described as a "pop" type feeling. It's not audible...it's not flatulence. The feeling normally occurs after my session passes the 1 to 1 1/2 hour mark.

I notice it more when I'm using the progasm. I notice that sometimes the progasm will be forced out about halfway so that the p- and k- tabs are no longer in contact with me (about two inches away). From this point I can't seem to get the progasm back in all they way on it's own. I have to manually push it back in. I take it to mean that possibly the lube has dried up (I use Probe or Albolene). So I'll remove it, and apply more lube and try again.

The "feeling" normally happens after the second insertion then have a series of P-waves. I can only describe it like my rectum is "collapsing" (closing up) momentarily...? It feels like it's about 3 inches inside my asshole. It normally happens once and then stops. I don't know how to accurately describe this. I hope that one of you has experienced this.

I have normal bowel movements the next day and everything seems normal.

Is this cause for concern?
Should I cut back on my 'ROSing for a while?

pnoman,

I’m not a doctor so what I say may be completely wrong and I have not experienced anything like what you have described. There are a couple of things I think could be happening here.
First, when you take out your Progasm, re-lube and re-insert it, you may also be introducing a little bit of air into the rectum. It is possible this combination of actions is instigating the onset of peristalsis in a blood engorged rectum.
Second, I know that when we become aroused and are stimulated in the genital area, the brain sends signals to allow more blood flow into the area (allows you to become erect) but you are also stimulating the anus and rectum with Aneros use. It seems logical to me that these areas would also then become engorged with blood and tend to swell. Since the rectum is essentially a tube, when engorged with blood the walls of that tube would become thicker and close up slightly. This might have an effect similar to a contraction pushing out, thus your Progasm would tend to get pushed out and contribute to a “collapsing” feeling.
The fact you are not experiencing any pain or discomfort would indicate there is no harm being done. The fact you continue to have normal bowel movements would also indicate everything is normal. I don’t think there is anything to be concerned about, it sounds like this is just a temporary hyper-excited rectum.
Of course if you start to experience any discomfort or pain during your Aneros use you should immediately cease use and find out the cause by seeking professional medical advice.

You are bearing down too hard and also wearing out the muscles down there.
Take it easy, those muscles will become stronger and it wont pop out like that.
These are only my thoughts.

Anal collaps....LOL~ I love it.
