Hello Aneros Support, guys:
I see as I check in tonight that there are 21 members and 507 guests on-line right now. Wow!
I was wondering: Why the chat room can't be open every weekend?
Is it a website "overhead" issue or some kind of control thing that requires someone to watch it?
I have been on the chat many, many hours over the past year or so, and I have seen no abuse to speak of, nor have I seen any poor behavior by the users...it's kind of self policing if you ask me.
Like right now, I'd love to chat with some of the other members that I see are on-line as I write this, most of whom are also chat room devotees.
Do I have any consensus from others of you out there? Could we try it for a month or so?
What say, Support...boys?

Well said Cockadoodle.
It would be good to have it open at the weekends.
Last weekend I managed a few minutes chat with Artform
before it locked up.
Site access has improved for me since I changed to Chrome so
I think it has helped with chat too.
I will try again when the room is open.
On the other hand Skype and Messenger are an alternative.

Good questions Cockadoodle! I've wondered similar things before. And I'll be curious to hear what the answers are.

Yup good questions and thoughts. I'd like to believe that support has examined chat participation by season, hollidays, day of week etc. And that support, has a good handle on how to dedicate and distribute resources to chat. However, I don't see an obvious pattern in evidence that would confirm that belief.
Not everyone has unstructured time available on weekends. I have to interleave chat with other activities on weekends.
Open week chat tends to yield long idle periods and less intensity/participation save for guys who seem to be using IM tools to organize a group of three or four guys for an hour of good chat. In summary, I'm not sure we have a scheme that optimizes participation..
Were functioning in a reliable/consistent manner, we might have better participation and the ability to collect data on what schedule works and what doesn't.

I responded in detail in the companion Poll. Always Open Chat Room is the optimum for the community and for our contribution to developing expanded sales of Aneros products, IMHO.
