This may be a stupid question, but when you orgasm with the aneros, do you get the sense that the prostate itself is having muscle contractions?
I'd always considered my prostate to be this passive blob that sits there waiting to be rubbed (like the head of my penis), and credited any sensations to the movement of the aneros. But after very carefully reading a lot of super-o descriptions, I've noticed a pattern in how people talk about the prostate contracting, how they feel like they're ejaculating, and are surprised by the lack of semen.
It seems like I've been on this whole other path that hasn't involved prostate contractions, where pleasure manifests as a head or body-buzz, with very little happening in the way of contractions. I've written this off as "calm-seas orgasms" (and I've definitely had some full-blown orgasms this way), but recently, as I was finishing off a session with traditional masturbation, I felt the prostate itself thumping hard as I climaxed, and it added an extra layer of pleasure. I've been trying to focus on this "thump"-pleasure in my sessions, and it's starting to open new doors for me. Even just visualising that the prostate is having its own contractions is a paradigm shift. And I'm starting to see why people talk about the feeling of ejaculating... it's entirely localised to the prostate, but there's definitely a sliver of "ejaculation-feeling" present. It's very very different.
I don't exactly know what I'm asking, but this is new to me. People talk about having contractions/involuntaries all the time, but only rarely do I see someone describe exactly what was contracting. Do you think part of aneros re-wiring is actually about strengthening the muscle fibres in the prostate? (Or is that even possible?) Do you normally experience hard prostate contractions during traditional masturbation? Maybe I've been wired all weird my whole life, and this is what orgasms are for other people?!
I too am interested to know, I definitely have pulsing perhaps contraction like experience with the prostate, but not sure whether it is actually the prostate contracting or the muscles around.
Guess it depends on whether the prostate actually has any muscle. If not, then it has to be the orgasmic experience resulting in muscle contractions around the prostate. Any docors out there chime in now 😉
Also have many pulsing(clicking) these days and nights. But after a further study I'm quite sure this pulsing is by my BC muscle. not PC or the prostate.

"The muscles of the prostate also ensure that the semen is forcefully pressed into the urethra and then expelled outwards during ejaculation." (source)
Seems obvious in hindsight, since it's part of a whole system that pumps out semen. I guess it's hard to think of things outside of voluntary control counting as muscles. I'm laughing at myself, and how little I understand any of this. I wish we had proper medical studies about what's going on with these orgasms.

Yeah there's a lot going on down there in terms of pulsing and contractions, that's why I've been unsure what the hell people are talking about half the time. "Involuntaries" is such a vague term.
I think what sets the prostate contractions apart is they're acutely/directly pleasurable and there's something familiar about them, like I've felt them before during a traditional orgasm... like it's a guitar riff from a song I know, but can't place, because the rest of the band isn't playing.
Hey @all,
I was obsessed with this question too - last year after my first Super-O.I found some really helpfull videos on youtube which eventually even made it into the wiki (last headword).

It's a subsequent contraction of different muscles. Somehow peristaltic, like when you swallow: the first muscles push the seminal fluid out of your prostate, the next one down the urethra. The BC comes last and pushes the semen around the U-Turn at the perineum (you do the same consciously when you force out the last drop of pee out your urethra).

The calm seas are a higher level of abstraction. See, orgasms a brain thing and a nervous system thing. You already learned to stimulate your nervous system directly which is very good and imho an advanced skill. In contrast, the typical aneros-user, stimulates the nerval cluster with indirections: through muscle-work. Muscles are innervated by nerves, that's why we can control them in the first place. But they are also innervated by sensory nerves. Voluntary and involuntary muscles-work can stimulate those nerve endings to the point of orgasm.
But you can also learn to stimulate the nerves with your pure will, widely known as "do nothing"-approach, which is mostly mental focus and observing. So, your "path" is more or less the same, just with fewer indirections.

What happens here is more or less a relic of the traditional orgasm. The contractions that are responsible for moving the semen outside are triggered but the valves of the prostate are not. So the semen is not allowed to enter the urethra but the contractions that would move it happen anyways. Other users, report of ejaculations were the semen does not shoot out but flows and dribbles. In this case, the valves are open, but the contrations are not triggerd (or only happen partially).
I hope my elaboration could help and won't lead to more confusion.
Cheers, Unfug
Here are the sensations within my latest sessions.
I get a slowly building pleasure feeling in my prostate as the different ejaculate fluids fill my prostate.
When I get to peak I can contract and relax PC muscles and ride wave of pleasure.
Once fluid pressure gets too much in prostate and while I am contracting PC muscle I expel a first shot of ejaculate. Pressure continues to build and the Aneors will massage remaining ejaculate out of prostate. At the end my prostate will contract with a final orgasm. Unbelievable.
I'm not sure if contractions or whatever are related to an orgasm or needed. But than again I'm having a hard time defining the O-thing.
Sometimes I get so worked up that I use a curved dildo made of glass. I can actually push the fluid out, sometimes its continuing and wires of sticky fluid keep coming. It will feel kinda close to a traditional orgasm. Maybe it's because you see stuff coming out, like proof or something. I feel the prostate getting hard and it's also easy to locate with fingers. I do feel a sense of release but that is also closer to a traditional orgasm; where you feel empty, or done. This is usually when I watch porn and get really into it. Also I cant help myself and need to jerk off after or during. I think because the arousal is too high, since I amp it. Afterwards I'm tired and want to sleep.
My normal sessions are more relaxed and they are more of a buildup that goes through the body. It's more wave-like; it comes and goes. Sometimes it can be pretty intense, sometimes it's mild. I don't really feel a release but I do feel high peaks and a sense of being 'there'.
Afterwards I feel super relaxed and at ease. It energizes. I tend to value these types of sessions more. When I'm having a good one I'm perfectly fine not doing or touching anything, stuff just happens when my focus is right.
As for contractions, I can sometimes notice the Aneros moving, like going deeper or out a bit or hitting the prostate more directly. Not really sure what is going on down there. Sometimes my dick twitches, like a mini spasm. Sometimes I get hard for a long or short time. But it never feels like I'm going to ejaculate for me. I do get a tingling sensation or a sense of leaking. Most of the time because I am.
Not sure where I'm going with this but it might be a choice: Whether you let your body control things or that you stimulate the prostate more directly. I think if you try to control your session, like clenching, doing kegels, maybe moving it manually or dildo fucking, you just get different sensations. I don't think that they are better, just different. Or something you might be in the mood for on some days.
My orgasms with Helix Syn are derived from "do nothing approach" ...when the build up begins I try to move the energy to different parts of my body like toes...fingers...spine...head, etc.... this results in an orgasm best described as being on the edge of ejaculation but not going over the falls...this heightened state of pleasure can last for several minutes and can be felt all over the body...but centered around the prostate. It is accompanied by involuntary shaking and writhing and can be prolonged by concentrating on surrender along with only the slightest of PC contraction...not sure how to label it but it sure feels good and after an hour or so of these orgasms I'm physically spent and know it's time to stop. ??

Most of the time I experience these separately (from what I gather this isn't normal?), and in this case, I've very much narrowed it down to a prostate area contraction. Though I've sometimes experienced two (or more?) that create a rolling auto-fuck. Having the whole chain dry-firing must be intense!

This is something I became interested in years before I found the aneros. I used to ride waves by just concentrating on them... but they weren't prostate centered. And honestly I think it has worked against me, because I've been trying to hijack my aneros sessions with the pleasure building "tools" I learned from that time, and it prejudiced my whole perception. I'm sure it's useful in the long run, but I'd definitely call it a distraction. Zeroing-in on the prostate thumps has amped up the intensity, to the point where I feel like I've been doing it all wrong... jumping out to the higher abstraction level, where I should have stayed down in the trenches.
Thanks all for your input, I might see if adding PC contractions does anything.
As a new Aneros user, this is something I have been interested in as well. I think I am getting hung-up on the word "orgasm" as in penile ejaculation. Does the prostate orgasm "feel" the same way as in a "pumping" action? Is it possible that I already have had a prostate orgasm and did not know it? Thanks for any help.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I've read super-o descriptions where people look down to see if they're ejaculating and are surprised to find they aren't. I've had "100% no doubt" orgasms that didn't have a hint of ejaculation pumping, and the pleasure was spread out all over my body.
But yeah, there's a lot of overlap with the words we have for these things, and definitions can be foggy... I'd say follow the pleasure first and foremost, and let what ever pumping happen of its own accord.
Thanks Clenchy. I guess what I am saying is that I have yet to feel any distinct "pumping" of the prostate, but it sure feels close. Will I feel something much more like an ejaculation down the road, either with or without semen?
I couldn't say. I've been doing this around 7 years, and I've never felt anything I genuinely mistook for an ejaculation, in terms of pumping. Although I think there could be an ejaculation-like pleasure component to be had. What I've been having is more like taking one musician from the orgasm/ejaculation orchestra and having him play a solo for me, really loud. It doesn't sound exactly like the ejaculation orchestra, but I recognise the song from somewhere.
Thanks Clenchy. So it seems that I probably have already experienced some prostate orgasms. Nice to know!
