Does using Aneros, help enlarge prostate get back to normal size?
johnny2904,
I don't know if there is any scientific evidence showing Aneros use effectively reversing prostate enlargement. However, there does seem to be evidence, both anecdotal and scientific (see the ongoing Columbia Medical School study using the Pro-State massagers.) these massagers can effectively relieve symptomatic pain and discomfort from enlarged prostate conditions and may be effective in slowing (if not stopping) the prostate enlargement process.
FYI, High Island Health LLC is the parent company & manufacturer of the Aneros ® brand of prostate massagers. This patented device was originally and is currently offered for sale as the Pro-State ® line of massagers on the High Island Health website. The HIH website is primarily oriented toward the health aspects and benefits of prostate massage in accord with Oriental medicine for prostate related issues. A forum for users to discuss practice with these devices also exists on that website, I encourage you to check out that site to learn more about the health benefits. The High Island Health website also contains testimonials from users regarding their experiences using these wonderful little massagers. That website also provides links to additional information on prostate health, the Aneros® website, by contrast, is oriented toward the sensual pleasure aspects of prostate massage.
Good Vibes to You !
Aneros massage and play has been very helpful for me. I've not reduced the size of my prostate but it seems to have stopped growing.
I've kept track of my PSA and my Uro's estimated mass of my prostate since I started seeing a Urologist about 12 years ago. For the first 7 years I was taking Saw Palmetto and a brand-name alfa-blocker to ease urinary difficulty. During that time the reported mass of my prostate increased between 5% and 10% each year.
I started my Aneros therapy and play in 2009 and since that time the estimates of total size indicate that the growth has slowed to near zero. That's probably saved me from a TURP or TUMT procedure and from having to get up several times a night to urinate. I've ceased taking Saw Palmetto and my Uro has cut my prescribed alfa-blocker by one-half.
Perhaps it's due to a lower medication load or the improved circulation through the prostate but an increasing tendency toward Premature Ejaculation has gone away. My Urologist advises to, "keep doing what you are doing."
That uro who was on the study, Dr. Aaron Katz, has a radio show in New York on Sunday mornings. He never mentions prostate massage, however. He does have some interesting topics, although it can get a little repetitious. He has an English female urologist as his cohost, Dr. Philippa Cheatham, and she has a really cool accent. If you can stream WABC-AM on line live, I am sure you can listen and call in with questions.
I have BHP and have been taking Saw Palmetto for about 10 years to ease the urination pain. I have used an Aneros for 16 months. I have noticed since using Aneros I dont have the desperate need to pee. I use an Aneros every night, and often to aid my sleep. I don't have any real experiences but it feels good enough to keep going. My PSA has decreased so all is good. I am going to see if I can do without the Saw Palmetto for a week, and my wife is very encouraging in my using Aneros "what ever works".
I have no idea of the size of my prostate but I have no trouble with the MGX, and the PS- New which are medium size. I do find the Ice too big but only at the inner sphincter.
I do have most models and I think that the variation is very important at my beginner level to keep my prostate on its toes.
