I’ve had the progasm for about a year and I’ve noticed the shiny plastic finish is cracking like maybe a tile block would. It’s is only cracking towards the bottom where my sweet butt cheeks meet but I’m concerned about a piece flaking off inside me. Big ouch. I love this device so I’m sure I’ll buy another one. I was thinking about getting the ice cause it looks like a different finish. I’m also concerned about what may have caused it. I clean it with soap and water before and after every beautiful sesh, so I feel like I’ve taken care of it. Has anyone else had this happen, is it a defect?

While I have read reports about people dropping their Progasm and having it break, I can't recall reports of surface cracking. Did you buy your Progasm from the Aneros website? If you did, I would suggest you take a photograph of the surface condition and contact support to see if they can help you. If you bought your product elsewhere it may have been counterfeit and not manufactured to the same quality standards of Aneros in terms of material or finish in which case I'm afraid you are out of luck.
Good Vibes to You!

Yes, my original PI had surface cracks and a few tiny chunks came off the surface. It looks like it's made by layers of plastic. Aneros sent me another one on warranty and it's now started to do the same. I suspect the issues are a result of my cleaning process.
After use, I used to spray it with a 50/50 mixture of disinfectant and water, let it hang over the sump pit for about 10 minutes then soak it in a bowl of water mixed with a dash of dish soap and a tiny bit of bleach for 20 minutes or so. It was then rinsed thoroughly and stored away.
Now, I soap it up, rince it and put it away.
I fixed mine by applying a bit of crazy glue over the cracks and sanded it down.
My Progasm Ice did the same thing- surface checking along the upper spine. I can't actually feel the cracks but they worry me enough that I retired it and bought the new 20th anniversary Black Ice. I am very happy with the change but it seems like the whole idea of the acrylic construction is to ensure long life. The Black Ice version (same as the Progasm Jr which I love every bit as much) is so erotic and enticing that I'm thinking of refurbishing the Clear version just to compare.
