Proctalgia fugax:
I feel I may have this condition but the Aneros prostate massagers and Peridise have minimized the frequency of the symptoms. I think Aneros products soothe, minimize and possibly cure this condition.
Here is the literature from Wikipedia:
I have suffered from this condition (or maybe it is levator ani syndrome- my symptoms are between the two) for about a decade. Since using aneros I haven't had an attack, but since the attacks started for no reason and can occur zero times in a year, than a set of half a dozen in a week it is hard to know whether it is the aneros that is effective. I have been using aneros for 14 months two - three times per week.
These unusual conditions are not uncommon but are believed to be under-reported. One reason for using the aneros in the first place was to see if my condition can be eased- but with such a random condition it is always to know if a cure has been found. All I can say is that I know the aneros doesn't not work!
Well, I've had these symptoms before I've ever used the Aneros and all I can say is for me the Aneros products have decreased the symptoms. It's like an anal massage or a massage for a "charlie horse" because this condition causes "anal charlie horses."
You know, without really knowing for sure, as I've never talked to a doctor about them. I suspect that I have had these type of pains intermittently before. In my opinion, I think they are from (no pun intended), being to tight ass'd. Meaning, unknowingly clenching the anal muscles for long amounts of time when stressed and anxious and such. Using the Aneros products teaches you to relax back there. I've had very few of these pains since using the Aneros prostrate massager's. It seems when I do get them again is when I have not had a session in a while.
