My apologies in advance for the wall of text, but any helps will be dearly appreciated. Please enlighten this newbie to the new world.
I have had Progasm jr. and Helix Syn for several months now. I tried about 30 sessions so far (alternating the two). I know I am only a newbie, but not getting much out of every session gets very frustrating. I don't particularly feel uncomfortable when Aneros is inserted in me, but it feels rather okay- and arouses me a little bit.
I tried most of the things I could find on the web. Lying on the belly, lying on the belly while pressing right above the ball, lying on my sides, back, different leg positions, and different breathing / contraction techniques, etc..
The best thing I got was a quite intense spasm and twitching of my legs for a couple of brief moments. But the spasm and twitching of my legs were more like due to my really intense voluntary contraction. The worst part is that it exhausts my hip muscle too quickly, I can’t hold that twitching and spasm for not so long. I have read the relaxation is the key, and all the reactions should be involuntary. I don’t think those were the ‘real’ ones you lucky one experienced. They were more like muscle spasm out of exhaustion.
One thing I can surely tell is that the orgasm from penile stimuli with and without the Aneros is definitely different. I love the great ecstasy of reaching traditional orgasm while Aneros inserted, but then I get frustrated right after I cum because I believe this tool can serve me much better than that.
So, please help me out here. Now I am getting skeptical of the entire idea of prostate orgasm in general. I see all those xTube videos and thinking they are faking it. I mean, it is not like they are cumming (some of them do though) so I know they are not faking it. I am getting quite desperate that I have become bitter as you can tell.
So, I am listing several questions (actually a lot…), whose answers will help me in great deal. Again, any inputs will be sincerely appreciated.
1. How often would be ideal for the ‘training’ for reaching the big O? I know people say don’t take it as training or hype my expectations up, but I am really not sure just relaxing and lying there does something at all. I have tried about every other day since June, am I killing it by overdoing it?
2. Also, would not masturbating (through traditional method) at all help the process of reaching any kind of o through Aneros?
3. Another one is the alternation. Progasm Jr. is definitely a bit bigger, and fill me up more firmly than Syn, I think. Another minor issue with the Syn is that the smell from the rectum kind of mixed up with the silicon body of Syn, which I don’t terribly mind, but does bug me a little bit for unknown reasons. But Syn feels more ‘subtle’ so to say… I sometimes feel like Progasm Jr. is over doing it, which is preventing me to reach the O. I think it is a matter of preference, but which would be a better tool for a newbie to achieve his first big O? Alternating the two as I have done so far would be good enough?
4. Also, how long should a session be? Most of my sessions lasted 1-2 hours, except for a couple of occasions I just slept with Aneros. Even for those 1-2 hour sessions, I just ended them because I couldn’t feel much, then got bored, simply ended the session with penile stimulus.
5. It seems like 'do nothing' technique was the breakthrough for many of you guys. But I just fall asleep when I do nothing. Some actually encouraged to sleep with Aneros in, and I did, but it didn’t do much either. It just disrupted my sleeping a little bit. I have also read that Aneros takes time because it needs ‘rewiring’ by increasing blood flow to prostate. I have no problem with relaxing with Aneros in me.
6. Should I just keep letting it be, and hoping the switch would just turn on someday? Or should I actively search for some technique or contraction method?
7. For my last question, is there a ‘breakthrough’? I mean, once you reach a certain point, do you learn to achieve the same sensation over again? Simple analogy would be is it like learning how to ride a bicycle, I suppose.
Thank you for reading this long texts, and once again, ANY INPUTS or tips will be greatly appreciated. Please help out this poor soul.
Thanks

All my answers are my opinion and your experiences will be different!
1. Sessions, in the beginning, can go an hour or more because your goal is the awakening of the prostate, and of your own ability to recognize the subtle sensations created by the presence of the Aneros! Your prostate is being stimulated by the Aneros any time it's inserted! On the other hand, your awareness of the stimulation is just starting to evolve! Give it the time, and your attention, and the subtle twinges of pleasure can grow much bigger!
2. Yes!! But it's for the purpose of changing your mental focus from your penis to your prostate and anal nerves being stimulated! Stimulating both the prostate and having a traditional ejaculation, during the rewiring phase, is counterproductive, and can create a short circuit to learning how to have prostate orgasms! After rewiring is a different story!
3. I was advised early on, that sticking to one Aneros was a better choice during the rewiring process! Now, after achieving my own very successful results, I'm inclined to agree with that idea!
4. If you ended your session with an ejaculation because the Aneros was making you more excited, then that's a good sign it's doing its job, and you should recognize that it's happening! The prostate orgasm, and the Multiple Male Prostate Orgasm specifically, is achievable by NOT ejaculating because of the absence of the refractory period brought on by the release of hormones after ejaculation! These MMO's are phenomenal and are supported by avoiding penile stimulation and ejaculation!
5. My best sessions are AFTER a good nights sleep in the early morning! Yes, I fall asleep easily if I try to have an evening session after a long day. Learning the techniques for prostate orgasms takes your mental focus in a relaxed state!
6. You are getting stimulated every time you use Aneros, you need time to recognize the subtle sensations being created! Avoiding penile stimulation will enable you to turn your attention to you prostate and the Aneros! Change your focus!
7. For some there is a sudden realization, yes!! The wiki pages, in the Getting Started section, shows you the list of milestones to help you recognize what you are likely to experience! Not every step is needed for success, and it's possible to skip some or many steps as you take your journey!
My journey gave me big successes after about two months of nearly daily Aneros use! But, little did I know that more successes awaited me! It's been a year and four months into my journey and I can say it just keeps getting better!
Enjoy!

Great advice from Theme_Gasm! I concur.

eastofeden,
I think @Theme_Gasm gave you some great advice, I'll just add a few thoughts of my own as well. The frustration you are experiencing is a very common phenomenon with new Aneros users, I advise doing some more reading and give yourself more time. The Aneros experience is not a race or competition but a learning journey without an end point.
1. How often would be ideal for the ‘training’ for reaching the big O? I know people say don’t take it as training or hype my expectations up, but I am really not sure just relaxing and lying there does something at all. I have tried about every other day since June, am I killing it by overdoing it?I don't think you are "killing it", but I do think you may be putting undue pressure on yourself to achieve results NOW. You can not force progress through force of will, it is only through allowing your body to express itself to you will results be seen.2. Also, would not masturbating (through traditional method) at all help the process of reaching any kind of o through Aneros?I believe it will help. A high arousal level is important to make the initial subtle sensations being generated by your prostate apparent to you as you learn to awaken your prostate. Breaking away from the hormonal roller-coaster of traditional ejaculatory behavior is a positive step toward developing your personal arousal awareness. Please read the Aneros, Arousal & Abstinence & Are you "aroused"? threads for the reasoning.4. Also, how long should a session be? Most of my sessions lasted 1-2 hours... Even for those 1-2 hour sessions, I just ended them because I couldn’t feel much, then got bored, simply ended the session with penile stimulus.A couple of things to make note of here, first, time spent in a session when your body is not really in the mood is pretty much a wasted session with little to be learned and little pleasure to be had, this goes back to the arousal factor. Second, learning to develop your prostate orgasm ability is a paradigm shift in thinking away from a penile focus. Please read 'cockadoodle’s thread Penis, NOT and 'rook's thread Whole Body/Whole Mind - the mental side & "zoneros" for a little insight.
While going for a Super-T is certainly an enjoyable experience, IMHO, it will impede your progress toward prostate based orgasms because you are only strengthening the pleasure pathways already associated with penile stimulation. This is counterproductive to establishing new neural connections to prostate orgasmic pleasure (the "rewiring").6. Should I just keep letting it be, and hoping the switch would just turn on someday? Or should I actively search for some technique or contraction method? There are numerous techniques which have been discussed in this Forum and I encourage you to try many of them. It is through the process of exploring all these options that you will discover the unique combination of techniques which will prove effective for YOU. This journey you have begun is an adventure with many unknowns and paradoxes to be encountered, strictly adhering to one technique in hopes of making it work for you may prove to be a fools errand. My basic guiding advice is to follow the path of pleasure, when you discover your body responding to certain stimuli then work with that as a basis and try subtle variations to see which variation is more or less effective. This is how you will learn what your body is capable of achieving and producing for you.7. For my last question, is there a ‘breakthrough’? I mean, once you reach a certain point, do you learn to achieve the same sensation over again? For some men there may be a 'breakthrough' ("Aha") moment when the cosmic tumblers fall into place and the orgasmic door opens but I think it is more an evolutionary understanding/awakening which takes place. You should also be aware that no two Anerosessions are likely to be the same, even if you are seemingly able to replicate conditions, your results are likely to be different from previous sessions. This journey is an ever evolving learning process, your body and mind are always working together assimilating past experiences into a new gestalt with each session.
Good Vibes to You !
Keep in mind that stressing out about not making progress is normal, but needs to be overcome. If nothing else, see the session as a time to relax. If you feel aroused, learn to enjoy feeling that way rather than looking to let it out by ejaculating. For the first month or so, the most feeling I got was a buzzing sensation in my anus/scrotum. Seriously, it may be slow, but at some point you will be able to distinctly feel pleasure from your anus, or even other parts of your body. Also, might want to try playing with your nipples regularly. At first mine were dead, but now it feels erotic to play with them.
