How many people here have it? It doesn't seem to be as popular as the aneros, why?

Is it totally safe or could you somehow hurt yourself if you have it inserted and then make a false movement or something?

And what is it officially for? Orgasms or hemorrhoid treatment?

And how is it sealed? If you're not from the USA and had to buy it from a retailer how could you be sure that it's really new and unused? Could it be opened and then closed without you seeing it?

I have one and I use it for enhanced orgasm and for the Super O. I love it. I find it to be as safe as any of the Aneros products. I use it when I don't want that full feeling. It is smaller and the sensations are more subtle. I guess this is an orgasm enhancer for the beginner but for the super O I think it would be for someone more experienced.
To ensure you get one that is not used, get it from Aneros. If you don't then find a respectable retailer and of course when you receive it clean it thoroughly.
Good luck. This stuff is fun!

I have the whole set of all four peridise. It's a useless product for me. Originally I bought them for sit on chairs. The handle of peridise is sticking out. I hated them. The regular Aneros with handle modification is better in every regard.

I too have the full set and I find the smaller models to be great.

I can sit in my living room with one nestled deep within beneath my trousers and no one is the wiser apart from me as a writhe quietly inside.

I can use them almost anywhere. I can take them on holiday and go through customs at airports without a hitch even through LA on long hall back from New Zealand bound for Britten.

I got mine in the UK form Love Honey and they were delivered in the unopened aneros packing.

How many people here have it?

You can get some idea from: -- http://www.aneros.com/forum/f6/%2Ahow-many-aneros-do-you-have-15053/ --

It doesn't seem to be as popular as the aneros, why?

Possibly because it doesn't do much for prostate stimulation.

Is it totally safe or could you somehow hurt yourself if you have it inserted and then make a false movement or something?

AFAIK nothing in life it 'totally safe' except for death. Peridise is my fav for both foreplay and Martial Arts both of which involve some major movements.

And what is it officially for? Orgasms or hemorrhoid treatment?

On the HIH site it's for 'roids. On the Aneros site it's for Unisex anal stim.

And how is it sealed? If you're not from the USA and had to buy it from a retailer how could you be sure that it's really new and unused? Could it be opened and then closed without you seeing it?

Just give them a good run through the dishwasher and you'll be GTG.

Enjoy

What?! You wear a peridise during doing martial arts are you serious?

I think it sucks that aneros doesn't have any shops in Europe. Sure one could buy online from sex shops but I don't trust them.
The problem is that by law you can refund everything 4 weeks after buying even sex toys. How sick is this? And most shops
really take the stuff back and don't even seem to care if it might have been used or not.

How could one even clean the peridise? Let's say you really worry that someone might have had this thing in his ass then I doubt that some warm water would be enough to really get rid of all health dangers.

Dunz,

On the contrary there are several retailers in Europe that are brick and mortar type shops, though I have no idea if one is near you. Check here and click on the tab for Europe and see if there is a location near you. With respect to taking refunds are you saying that this applies to shops or online stores or both? If this is the case I think I would be buying directly from the manufacturer. With respect to using a suspected second hand Aneros, this would not be my preference.

Hi, I live in germany and there they have a policy where you can return everything for 4 weeks which you buy online even sex toys!
And I checked many different shops and read there FAQs and they all say you can refund stuff. None of them said that sex toys cannot
be refunded for hygienic reasons which I think is a huge problem. I am not saying that a shop would sell something which might have been
opened even though this is also not impossible. The bigger problem is that many products are wrapped in such a way that you can open them
without anybody noticing it. Many manufacturers do not seal their products because the shops want them to be openable so that the customers
can examine them better.
That's why I asked. Unless aneros has their products sealed so that it's impossible to open and close it without leaving any traces then it would be pretty risky to buy from a retailer.

Hi, I live in germany ... snip ... Unless aneros has their products sealed so that it's impossible to open and close it without leaving any traces then it would be pretty risky to buy from a retailer.

Skilled re-closure of the packaging probably can't be detected so... neither can a well crafted counterfeit. So, be guided by an old "mother's slogan" that is subtlety imbued upon children, "no one's dirt is as clean as your own!"

Aneros' guidance is to clean any toy with a simple soap and water scrub before and after each use. I also clean new toys with a run through the dishwasher, pulling them out before the 'dry' cycle. Some lubes leave a film on toys. An occasional dishwasher run seems to clean that off quite nicely.

There some bacteria, fungal spores and viruses in the environment that you don't want to shove inside yourself with either your fingers or a sex toy. Simple hand soap is probably best but you might rather choose a soap or detergent with an anti-bacterial like Triclorosan, Tricloroban or Hexiclorophene. Be sure though to read, -- Triclosan and Triclocarban (Antibacterials) | Smarter Living -- to amplify your worries about the more paranoid evils of these substances. (I don't get overly paranoid about hand washing with antibacterial soaps but a lot of people do.)

Remember that as long as your douche routine doesn't involve anything antiseptic, your own internal flora (bacterial and fungi) should overwhelm any airborne bacteria that settle on a toy.

What?! You wear a peridise during doing martial arts are you serious?

Yes, usually every Saturday morning during Tai Chi in a local park. Generally, Tai Chi is a rather slow, 'Meditation in Motion' sport however, rapid execution of Sword Form can whip up some major action. Fav toy for that is the 22mm Peridise with a bit of Vaseline or Crisco for lube.

hope this helps alleviate the concerns

Most of the antibacterial soaps are nothing more than "making a feature out of a necessity". Liquid soaps need an antibacterial agent in them (often EDTA) to make them less likely to be colonised by bacteria. Advertising has jumped on this and turned it into something marketable.

It seems sad that your habit rushing to judgement, without seeing the original design intent and method of use, is blocking great avenues of pleasure you might otherwise discover. Peridise can work wonderful if you let them awaken the full orgasmic potential of your anal/peristalsis system. I found it well worth the patience, discernment and time to get there in one of many great ways (see my post #38 Smoke-ring Ping!-Os): http://www.aneros.com/forum/f6/what-your-anal-erotic-practices-15670/

I find it frustrating that I can usually not find threads mentioned like the above even by cutting and pasting since the hacking. Is the Tempo about the same as the largest Peridise, only made of stainless steel, or is it larger?

The head is longer and perhaps slightly slimmer. I didn't expect it to feel so much different from the largest peridise, but it does to me. Maybe that has to do with the material also.

Do you like it? If you have Peridise how does it compare?
