Peridise from a woman's POV... help!

The breadth and detail of the information on this forum concerning the journey to the super-o is stunning, and it is definitely helping my partner on his quest. However, I feel completely in the dark when it comes to the Peridise I'll soon be purchasing! A few threads have started on the topic of women and the Peridise, but they always seem to taper off before providing the sort of valuable information that's so easy to find if you happen to be a person with a prostate. This is very frustrating, since if the super-o hunt is any indication, it will probably take more than simply following the directions on the box for me to get the most out of the Peridise. Some women have shared their success stories, which is great, but I have the feeling that (as with other Aneros models) not everyone will get out of the gate so quickly. Just as some guys need tips about milestones and techniques to help them get there, I'm sure this will be the case for many women as well... and being relatively inexperienced with anal play, I think I'll probably be one of them.

So could a woman who has used the Peridise please give a detailed account of the process? Any information would be helpful, but I'm also interested in 1) how does a Peridise-triggered orgasm compare with a clitoral or g-spot orgasm? will the same techniques you use to achieve these types of orgasms also help you achieve a Peridise-centered orgasm? 2) how should stimulation of other hot spots be incorporated for beginners--as in, does touching elsewhere help or hurt initially when you're getting used to the Peridise? 3) does having intercourse with it in make the effectiveness of the Peridise better, worse, or the same? 4) when things get rolling, what sort of sensations arise (i.e., what should I 'look for')?

Thanks so much for your help... I'm hoping that having a good idea of the Peridise experience before session 1 will help me avoid a lot of misguided, frustrating, lukewarm fiddling around!

Julie,

As I know that you've asked for specific information from some of the ladies who have experimented with Peridise, I'll withhold my input. However, I suggest that you also PM Justagirl and any of the other ladies that have posted on this as well. Many users have their PM box set up so that they're notified by email when something comes in.

Check it out!

Julie,

Welcome to the Forum,

You are obviously a very perceptive woman and have asked some excellent questions. In response to your queries, I have “good news and bad news”.
First, the “bad news”, the Peridise is such a new device, there is not a long term history of its usage by men or women.
In that respect we are all in the dark to a certain extent. The other Aneros prostate massagers now have many years of users experiences having been reported to this Forum, thus the depth of information you noted in your post. Without a sufficient history there is bound to be a lack of information available for dissemination to new users like yourself. Until that user history/knowledge base is established, there is inevitably going to be “…a lot of misguided, frustrating, lukewarm fiddling around!”

Now, the “good news”, the Peridise is such a new device, there is not a long term history of its usage by men or women.
As such we are getting the opportunity to explore new sensual experiences, heretofore unavailable to the populace. As a woman you have the opportunity to learn and communicate to your sisters the techniques which you find effective in enhancing your own orgasmic response. In so doing you will also be enlightening the male readership about how they can help their partners achieve more satisfying sensual experiences. You will have the male perspective of techniques to draw upon as well in your learning journey. As a sensual adventuress, you now have a unique opportunity to establish for women the kind of knowledge about the Peridise that BF Mayfield has brought to men about the prostate massagers.
I look forward to reading about your continuing journey of discovery on these Forum pages.

Wow, the forum has lived up to its reputation for being incredibly helpful!

I'll try both routes--asking the 'pros' specifically and doing a little individual exploring--and with any luck I'll at least be able to answer my own questions for future explorers.

Thanks so much for your prompt and helpful comments. Aneros rocks!

Hey Julie!

Welcome, I like to see new people on the forums and just love to say - welcome!

I would like to suggest that you try this: before you read allot of different strategies about how to use anal toys try to have one or two sessions with it on your own with no "right" or "wrong" thoughts in your mind. Just follow normal safety measures for anal toys and explore it. Then you can look at what other people experience and enhance your own.

Hi Jane! My answers to your questions below.

1) how does a Peridise-triggered orgasm compare with a clitoral or g-spot orgasm? will the same techniques you use to achieve these types of orgasms also help you achieve a Peridise-centered orgasm?
My husband and I have searched endlessly for my g-spot to no avail, so I've got no comparisons handy there. I read a study somewhere that took an ultrasound or scan to study the vaginal wall of several women and found that women who were able to achieve a g-spot orgasm had a particular mass of cells in the anterior wall. I am though able to have a vaginal and a breast orgasm, and I would have to say that the orgasms I have with the peridise are most like those. Full bodied and more rewarding. Call me an orgasm elitist, but clitoral orgasms are so simple and rudimentary. Pretty much guaranteed and a predictable end to a predictable tale. I'm guessing much like penile orgasms. But these peridise orgasms are like a choose-your-own-adventure book. Although I intend to experiment more, with my limited experiences so far, I've only had orgasms with it tandem with other stimulation. not that this is a bad thing. it has amplified my orgasms to a plane i would've never known to seek.

2) how should stimulation of other hot spots be incorporated for beginners--as in, does touching elsewhere help or hurt initially when you're getting used to the Peridise?
definitely helps. especially if you're a beginner like i was. What's particularly amazing is that it has unearthed new erogenous zones for me- like my hands and my lower stomach. strange, i know, but explore, explore, explore! in the beginning the peridise was so distracting that having my husband take my attentions away helped me let go. my advice would be to initially divert your attention away and then when you're sufficiently primed, pull your focus back in.

3) does having intercourse with it in make the effectiveness of the Peridise better, worse, or the same?
hmmm. i'd have to say none of the above. but you definitely should try it both ways. having the ramp makes it very comfortable. i suppose pillows would work also, but I wouldn't lay your head on it afterwards! Thinking on it further, I do think that you should employ some routine form of stimulation along with the peridise. I think by mingling the familiar with the unfamiliar you may find yourself in a 'safer' place to enjoy the pleasure.

4) when things get rolling, what sort of sensations arise (i.e., what should I 'look for')?
aside from the strange and wonderful movements occurring in your ass, you'll feel a ember of warmth grow in your belly/nether regions. also look for increased sensitivity EVERYWHERE.

I hope this helps somewhat. Have fun and then tell us all about it!!

Hey gals this sounds great. Keep the feedback coming as some of us are curious what these tools can offer the females, and I'm sure other women visiting this site would love to know also. We haven't had a lot of female input, but I for one always look forward to it.

Ladies, I agree 100% with OH!!, please keep the input coming! My wife is very hesitant to try anything anal herself, and has just lifted her 26 year ban on touching me in my nether regions. 🙂

I haven't ordered the Peridise yet, as I am still trying to learn how to get the most out of my Helix and don't want to have too many choices in what to try on a given day. I am very excited though about the possibility of getting the Peridise for my wife, but since she is very hesitant to experience anal play, I would really like to have as much information as possible about how it works, and feels so that I can help to calm her fears and to experience the pleasures that are possible.

As you relate your experiences, it will help me to be a better guide. One who is confident and knowledgeable about how to use it and what to expect from it.
