@aneros-team Tagged so they can weigh in and maybe pass on to whoever does R&D.

So basically, for the short-spanned of attention, every existing Aneros model is too long for me. By about an inch, or inch-and-a-half, depending.

It's an issue that shows more on the Syn models with their more flexible tabs, but even the Progasm and Jr. have this problem. To start, I'd like to bring up the diagrams that are on the Aneros' store pages, one showing a finger massaging the prostate, and another with the aneros in play. One thing you'll notice is the position of the prostate kinda shifts. Granted, I know these aren't supposed to be 1:1 accurate medical representations, but it's relevant. I can't attach more than one file to a post so you'll have to go look at the store real quick.

In the picture with the finger, the figure is bent over. In the picture with the Aneros, the figure is standing up straight, the prostate has moved up an inch, and the testicles have turned into some kind of grub or embryonic thingy. The "Upright" position is also counter to the instructions that come with the Aneros, anyway.

Regardless, my prostate doesn't move up that far when I stand up straight. I can easily reach back, and get my middle fingertip right on the center of my P-spot without even inserting past the second knuckle. That puts it at 2-1/5" or so. Some men are well endowed, I have a button that stands out and in easy reach. Go figure.

Anyway, point is, all Aneros models overshoot it by a couple inches. With the Progasm Jr. (cited as example because it's what I have in my hand right now), If you lopped off that knob at the top, it'd be closer to the right height. Only the middle bulb makes actual contact, regardless of what position I'm in. The tip just rubs up on intestinal wall, or prods my bladder depending on how full it is.

I had a HIH 950 at some point, and it was the right length, but the shape of it allowed only for one or two specific poses during use. The nature of the plastic and the sprue leftover from molding (Could never file it off completely) and the way the front tab curved up just a little too sharply to match my form made it uncomfortable to use for long. But it was the closest I had to a perfect fit.

I'd like @aneros-team to consider this when thinking about developing a new model. I can't be the only man in this situation, and I have to wonder how many guys think Aneros is a dud and the Super O is a hoax just because everything they've tried is an ill fit.

I have this same issue ive found that HIH the best in many ways for the same reason you give. Have you tried other devices? for example aneros DO make a smaller device called the SGX made for the asian market where its very small indeed, though i find this too small even for me!

Devices that have worked well though:

Helix (i think it jsut fills the whole cavity well tbh)
Zini medium
Perdise series
Tempo

Will try the SGX out again soon though, might be worth revisiting it.

@theeagleandwolf I thought the SGX was discontinued?

The Helix was also kind of a no-go. But then that was the Syn version and maybe was a little too flexible. I keep thinking about trying the ET, since the thinner body may translate better, plus like the Helix, it's one of the ones that's not supposed to go in all the way, the fulcrum is about a quarter of the way up the shaft, so it might work despite it being the longest one. Conversely, the Maximus is the shortest, and the tabs take up nearly a whole inch of that length, so it may be just right.

Never heard of Zini, and I still have a tempo, but I never got anything out of it. I'm still not clear on what exactly it's supposed to be used for besides working out the sphincter ring muscle. The Peridise set I had wasn't molded very well, the two halves were almost imperceptibly off-center, but there was enough of an "edge" there to be felt on a place you don't want to feel any edges.

@kaygo I own all the aneros devices and i find the maximus to be one of the weakest, big devices dont work on me, just dont know why but they dont. I think i need the movement over smaller devices to be free in there, its subtle but its whats needed.

Zini is a third party company, they make smaller prostate massagers, their zini medium is really nicely made, but not my fave device. Didnt know the SGX was discontinued, cant think why.

I like the slightly bigger ones because I'm pretty good at muscle control. If it's big and responsive, then I can focus more on "relaxation" with little micro-movements instead of flexing a muscle through its whole range.

Is this what you're talking about? I've seen this on aliexpress a lot. They had another one that was just that shaft on a "ball" base.

@kaygo

no, that looks... weird.

The zini isnt the best anyway and theyre very small and thin, what you seem to need is shorter but the same 'bigness', which i need also but i seem to prefer shorter and moderate/smaller perhaps.

Just tried the SGX again after years and wow it was good! amazing in fact, way more contact and pleasure than pretty much any other device except the helix at this point!

Well then can you share a link or something? I can't find anything anywhere about a "Zini medium" except for that.

First thing that came up on googling 'zini medium'

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ZINI-E22429-Janus-Lamp-Medium/dp/B005VPUV94

Also as i say its a very thin, very small device and i think it wont be good for you. Finding a SGX if you can is the best way IMO as you and I have the same issue and the SGX worked very well indeed.

Yesterday I measured prostate depth with a certain curved steel dildo. It's two fingers removed from the tip, so about 15cm/6in deep. I measured inside the curve. I'm 6ft 3in tall (203cm), not overweight.

Progasm, which I had the most success with, has 4.2 insertable length. It pretty much only works on doggy and I have to spread legs in a certain way. Helix Classic, another one I own, 4 inches of insertable length. I was having real trouble reaching it.

Eupho Trident is 4.1, and probably the last one I try, but in the light of the above I'm not having big hopes.

With the steel dildo, I can massage myself comfortably on my back, which is a big deal because Progasm only works in doggy. It still helps to spread my legs and raise one of them or bend the knee.

As the steel dildo told me, prostate position DEFINITELY shifts. As my level of arousal comes and goes, I need to adjust depth and angle slightly for best pleasure. But don't make the mistake of massaging your bladder (much closer).

I'm using the dildo instead of Aneros recently, but it's mostly due to time pressure. I look forward to biting the pillow in doggy. The dildo also doesn't train my kegels, although it allows makes it easy to get relaxed.

@airbag wow that's a lot of variation between men. I'm much shorter than you at around 5'7", my index finger is 3 inches long and I can reach every part of my prostate in a kneeling position when I relax everything just right, I could hook over the top and pull it back if I wanted. 6 inches would be overshooting it by a ridiculous amount. One size definitely does not fit all... that's pretty eye opening, there's been a lot of discussion about this but seeing actual measurement is new to me.

@kaygo Modifying your Progasm Jr. so it fits wouldn't be that much of a problem, you could do it in an afternoon and get better than factory finish. Even if you don't have any tools you could buy everything you need for less than 20$, very worth it if your toy is sitting in a drawer unused... you could also build up the p-tabs for shallower penetration, lots of possibilities if you decide to tackle it.

@zentai It's not unused, I'm still trying to figure out a good position, there must be one, right? It's the same with this Nexus Revo Intense. I financed the bloody thing, so it's going to work for me whether it wants to or not. But the issue remains that the moving parts of it way overshoot the target area.

As far as modding the Pro Jr., I'd really only want to sort of flatten out the tabs, give them a wider, padded surface area so that they push, like with the heel of your hand, rather than poke, like with a fingertip. (example attached)

@kaygo Haha I was thinking about lopping the top bulb completely off and reshaping the end, don't mind me I'm craaaaazzzzy.

For the tabs, check this recent thread https://community.aneros.com/community/general-discussion/modifying-the-aneros-using-heat/#post-110091 for ideas. Hot melt glue could be a good foundation for this, the cheapest low temps sticks are pretty flexible and if you smooth it out well while it's hot, I think you'll be able to leave the result as is. I'm pretty sure that it won't affect the plastic, but I never tried it myself on the Progasm material so I'm not 100% certain, maybe someone can chime in on this?

Edit: tried it on the red Pro, with my dollar store special. It's very low heat (10 watts) and the plastic is fine. Removed the glue with the alcohol trick. I think it's safe if you want to try this but don't make a huge blob all around the tab, it's going to be a pain to remove. Better make something thin, remove it and build it up then slip it back on. Lots of possibilities. Happy crafting!

Edit 2: can't get something I'm satisfied with. I'm no great gluesmith but this just looks bad and would feel worse, so while it could work I can't vouch for it. Sorry about that...

To be fair 15cm / 6in is likely where it ends for me. I get no pleasure from further insertion (but I can). I seem to work my way backwards from that.

I tried fingering myself a couple of times in the shower. No luck. I probably need to ask a petite girl to fist me. Shallow stimulation just makes me squirt(pee), I think I'm hitting the bladder. I'm convinced female squirting is just peeing due to involuntary muscle relaxation.

No issues inserting Progasm at all. One of perks of being a big guy. Oddly enough, there is some kind of bottleneck in the middle so when I'm inserting the dildo I need to relax my muscles and go gently to pass it.

It's possible that a smaller toy can get me off if it hits at a different angle. Trident line sounds promising.

Well there you are, at least two examples, one way above, and one way below the "spot" that most models hit. At the very least I would consider taking survey for a wider cross-section to see the full gamut of p-spot depths.

Okay, I consulted an anatomy picture and I had it EXACTLY backwards ;[. Bladder is deeper than prostate. If I get past the hump, I may be able to massage prostate indirectly.

Which means I need to either massage more cautiously so I don't pee myself or get used to it. I mean after sticking things in my ass peeing is a change for the better, right?

This is why they have Beginner and advanced models ect. If you have large rectum the thinner models will slipout. I know with Vice 2 it slides out sometimes and its fairly big.

It seems you can't find two anatomy charts that look alike, and having been on the receiving end of two prostate digital exams, I really was not impressed with how quick and superficial they were, they really don't check the whole surface. Poke poke it's done! Didn't call out the doctor on this, hehe.

Those charts mostly show Individual #1 who doesn't want to be there and is tensed up, and Individual #2 who wants to get this over as quickly as possible... Drawn by Individual #3 who just wants to get paid and doesn't care how accurate everything is since no one will check anyway, and all the charts are already different so who cares, right? With a relaxed pelvic floor and prostate engorgement from arousal, I think you would get a different picture. I think each man can only count on his own experience and judgement to make sense of where everything is located inside his own unique body, so don't panic if what you feel doesn't match what you see on those charts...

Nobody's panicking. I was using those charts as a base reference. All the models of Aneros overshoot my spot.

@kaygo sorry man I was not targeting you or anyone else, I guess I did not use the right words. I looked at a ton of those charts before posting my prostate clay model this week, because I was nervous about it not making sense. And no two are the same, so no wonder it's hard for me to have a clear idea of where exactly I'm feeling things. I was not saying you were wrong or "feeling things" wrong, if all toys are overshooting your prostate, you're not having the pleasure you want and that's a problem.

If you take a look at that thread, you'll see that my prostate is not very far either, center maybe at 2.5", and I get great pleasure from Eupho and Helix and even Progasm once in a while. I'm just trying to think about how you could make things work on your end with that .25" difference, maybe focusing on raising your pelvic floor could help lift your prostate a little and put it at a better spot relative to the toy? I really did not want to imply you were "panicking", just a bad choice of words from French Canadian slang. Again, sorry for that.

@zentai

I've tried a bunch of different positions and none of them work better than any other one. The only things that have made a difference are which muscles I'm flexing. And the only group I get any feeling out of is my abs. If I flex them so I get a push-pull motion going, that gets me somewhere. Apparently this is counter to everything the guides say, but there you are. I can still flex the PC muscles in a sequence, a kind of wave motion where I pull my stomach up and then flex the PC, then relax everything and start over. In fact that's how i get the most feeling out of any a-less activity. I guess since my spot is practically leaning over the edge of the sphincter ring, then flexing that is what makes the most sense.

Another thing is putting pressure on my lower abs from the outside, that kinda shifts the prostate and makes it "stick out" more for the aneros to reach. Maybe wearing a tight sash or cord or something around my waist in that spot will help

I think lifting my pelvic floor while filling my belly with air will put more pressure on the right spot than sucking my abs in, I don't know if you have some experience with this. Maybe part of why this works has to do with visualisation but I clearly feel a difference. If you can get into a small arch it's even better, it will also work laying on your side. You can work your sphincters at the same time or just relax them. I think part of the solution is trying to manipulate everything so the Aneros goes down and you prostate goes up and everything aligns. You can hug an exercise ball pretty firmly and get nice feedback in you abdomen when flexing your abs, maybe this could help. Deflate at around 2/3 capacity and it will be very responsive. Just brainstorming, all these things helped me at some point.
