Recent sessions with my Progasm have led to super-Os w/o much pleasure. A whole lot of big contractions and autofucking and such, but not really all that pleasurable.
A session with my Helix yesterday, though, was very different: super-Os that were, well, pleasurable.
I wonder if the Progasm is working too quickly and not allowing my body to get excited. Is that possible?
Dingus,
Some people find the Progasm too aggressive. The larger dimensions of this device can produce more intensive stimulation with far less effort. When involuntary contractions kick in they can be overwhelming. For some it's simply over the top. If you're having success with the Helix...go with it and see where it takes you!

Yes. I do like the full feeling I get with the Progasm, though. Maybe I'll switch back and forth.....
I have 5 aneros and each one has spent time as my most and least favourite model. Go figure.
.
Dingus,
The models that you have are terrific and quite capable of delivering some mind-blowing Super O's. Not sure how long you've been at this, but make certain to give yourself adequate time to become accustomed to these devices and to this kind of stimulation.
For the future, the VICE is another alternative (if price is no
object). The VICE offers the fullness of the PROGASM with a softer feel
that is less aggressive. You can actually sit on it and grind!
Cheers,
BF Mayfield
Lemme see if I have this right...Super O without much pleasure??? Really. IMHO, Super O is the ultimate pleasure. If you mean that you get there without much preliminary pleasure, then OK, but don't tell me that you can have an actual Super O without pleasure...as I feel the two are synonymous, Super O and excruciating pleasure.
Brian is absolutely correct, of course. Unfortunately for me, I bought a Vice when they first came out, and the vibrator is far too aggressive for me. As a consequence, I don't use it much. Brian, is there any recourse for a new vibe unit for the Vice? The original vibrator is almost unuseable, and I get more vib pleasure from a competitors product.

Yes, a Vice is on my wish list. But I've spent too much on my butt this summer.
Cockadoodle,
I believe that there have been several different versions of the VICE's vibrator since it was originally introduced. At this point HIH is offering the latest version, the Muse as an upgrade. I doubt there is any recourse, i.e trade-in potential on the old vibrator, but it never hurts ask. Give customer service a call and check it out. Perhaps there might be a discount on the new unit.

This problem--if it was a problem and not just a stop along the way--seems to be resolving itself. Happily.
Starting with the Eupho and then switching to the Progasm, and then switching back, worked very nicely last night.
And, of course, practice makes perfect!
Congratulations on your success, Dingus, my man.
Ah...practice, practice, practice...Aneros practice is so onerous...I just hate practicing every day!
And good luck on your journey.
Cockadoodle
I must admit I find the Vice with either the original vibe or the Muze to be almost too much and use the vibrator only very occasionally if I get to be in bed alone.
If I'm feeling a need to be 'filled up", the Vice used without a vibe is for me, a great improvement on the Progasm.
I can"t wait, I just ordered a Vice. I like the "fullness" of the Progasm, but want the softness of the silicone.
