Hmmm, looked like it was like a Dallas Cowboy's team meeting. I was several minutes late and the coach had locked the door. AKA the early birds apparently got the worm. Or, perhaps the chat server started to croak at 24 connections. Or......

Guys,

I was able to get into the chat room. The announcement was the introduction of the new Aneros "Vice" - see Prostate Massage, Sex Toys for Men, Male G-Spot, Prostate Stimulators Stimulation, Anal Toys for more information. Pre-order sales will begin Friday, 11/19/10, the price will be $139.95. They will begin shipping 12/03/10.

ooooh, I was locked out too and I thought it was going to be an energy session. Not a new product session. Now I don't really feel bad.

Should have called it the Aneros Stealth.

HMMM. One concerning thing about this new product! I have read in the past that some people have 2+hour sessions. My question is how long will the batteries last? Will it break your concentration as the vibbing wears down from battery loss?

We need these guys to take over the management of time-share presentations.

I get a kick out of it.

Either Aneros has a terrible sales and marketing team, or all of its users have money to throw away. In this rough of an economy, to expect people to pay that much money for something that is just an expansion of an already similar model (looks like a progasm with vibration) is nuts. I also question if they should maybe continue to work out the mechanics of already existing products before asking people for more money on new products.

I think that's a great name. Nothing wrong with Vice, but it reminds me a bit of Miami Vice. 😉

Weren't we told that a vibrator was like a "jackhammer " to our prostates? I still have the bullet attachment for my Helix. Never used it much, though. I found that I could put the Hitachi Magic Wand next to the Progasm and it was great for a while but sort of became numb. Thoughts?

that was my reaction too. I thought vibrators were off limits for rewiring purposes.

Mine goes like this. -- similar experience to rickg. Most of what I've tried was under $40 and unsophisticated.

My wife has a cool vibe from Germany that has a handful of programs that automatically vary intensity, frequency and timing. The OhMiBod (Aneros store) can deliver some neat surprises when it gets cool audio inputs. So something that's interesting is possible.

So, I'll probably go with reviews by stim experts.

So Aneros has their own version of the RudeBoy? Disappointed on first impression. I'll be interested to see what community thinks.

Guys,

As I related in several threads already I will be posting my review on the VICE and discussing it in depth this weekend. In the meantime perhaps I can address several of the comments that have been made here.

"So Aneros has it's own version of the Rude Boy...?"

The "Rude Boy" is a re-purposed device originally known as the "Rock Chick". These products are not even vaguely similar to the VICE in shape or configuration. The VICE does have one thing in common with the Rude Boy....it's black!

".....to expect people to pay that much money for something that is just an expansion of an already similar model (looks like a progasm with vibration) is nuts."

I grant you that it may appear like a Progasm, but it is a distinctly different device. At the risk of giving too much away here, I will just say that it feels completely different to me.... and in the best of ways I might add. In terms of the price point on this, there is no question that this is a premium product, however I believe that there is a great deal of value here as well. I should also add that the cost is completely consistent with other competing (yet inferior) products.

With respect to concerns about the effects of vibration on the prostate, these a good questions that I will answer in my review. (Bear in mind that I was the one who first raised such concerns years ago).

I suppose that given all the buildup to this release that it was inevitable that there would be strong feelings out there. Nonetheless, I would suggest to everyone that they remain patient a little while longer and wait for some user feedback before jumping to conclusions.

I wonder what would happen if she played "Moving In Stereo" by the Cars, in 3-D Audio?

Guys,

I have been an advocate of non-use of vibrators for the same reasons 'B Mayfield's stated in this thread. In my pre-Aneros days I had tried using vibrating toys before and found initial sensations intense and enjoyable but due to the constant and continuous nature of the vibrations the sensations became boring fairly rapidly and after a certain period of time a kind of numbness set in. As a result of this numbness it would take increasingly more vigorous physical stimulation to maintain the same sense of feelings. I have speculated that low speed, low intensity, variable pulsating patterns may be a way of avoiding the monotony and over stimulatiing effects of traditional vibes. I am hoping the new Aneros Vice has addressed this with their "multi-patterned vibrator".

I should also note there have been members who have found various vibrating toys pleasant and useful in their journey, see 'Hitachi Magic's post Easy way to have super-O's

I will reserve any judgments until after I have had a few sessions with my own new 'Vice'.

As in a previous post, it looks like a progasm with ability to add a vibration unit. Which would be nice if there was a smaller version.

But my only other concern is, that if possible would be nice to have a variable vibration in stead of one that would be constant.

And also, either a wired or better yet, wireless remote for it would be good, so this way if you start out slow and do contractions then want the Vice to take over, you wouldnt have to really move to much to get it going.

Other than those idea's, way to go Aneros.

Here I was, depressed, figuring the folks in the Chat got a free one. I guess such is not the case. So, I do feel a bit better about RSVP'ing and then losing internet connectivity just prior to the event.

$139 is a very difficult price point for those of us who are without work ... I'm sure some can afford what they want for pleasure, and given the industry, premium level products do often fall into that range.

I think some small level of vibration would be beneficial to some, such as myself, who just can't seem to get over the gap into Super-O territory.

I'll be interested in hearing what B. Mayfield has to say, not that I can afford one anytime soon. 🙂

I dunno now. This is like, say, I was a member of an "ANTI-WINE BEER CLUB". We drank beer and had lectures on beer. We talked of how the evil ones drank wine.

Then, suddenly, the leader of the club said: "Starting today, we're gonna add wine into our daily drinking".

Silly analogy, but substitute it for:

KKK now accepting all races in the organization.
Christian churches favouring sex orgies as a means of relief.
Greenpeace now saying beef once a week is cool.

etc...

You're left like:

"WTF?"

Is everything the Aneros company told us a lie now? Can it all be done with a vibe? Does the company have integrity - are they just ensuring they corner the Rude Boy/Nexus market? Is this not about rewiring men (for a profit, of course) but about competing for the butts of men all around the world even if none of them rewire - who cares about MMO, it was just our gimmicky selling point - let's just stick a vibrating metal in a Progasm and call it a day?
