Hi. I originally got the Aneros for prostate health. I had no idea it was also used as a sex aid or had anything at all to do with orgasms. I have BPH and I urinate more than I'd like to, especially at night, so my doctor recommended prostate massage. I went online and found an instructional video, and the doctor recommended the Aneros. So, like I say, I only got it for prostate massage to help my enlarged prostate. So, it went in fine. I double checked to make sure it was facing in the right direction, and it was. And I did the no-hands method, just clenched and relaxed my sphincter over and over. I felt the Aneros in there, but that's all. I didn't feel anything pleasurable. Nor did it feel like it was massaging my prostate, although I wouldn't know what that felt like.

Granted, I only did it for five minutes. But there wasn't any motivation to continue. I guess I needed at least a pleasurable feeling. But there was nothing. Do men actually have orgasms while using it? Should I do it longer? Should I force myself to go for an hour or something?

Thanks for any insight you may have for me.

Hi @zicktom, welcome to the forum. The members here are very polite and willing to help you, as far as they can, but as in every forum it is really boring to everyone, when newbies ask the same questions every day, ignoring the hard work users already invested in wikis and faqs. Please be so kind and read this first. There are 14 different, indeed very different Aneros products for prostate stimulation and countless variations to use them, and the best advice is to read a lot before using them. And if there is a medical reason to use them you should focus on what your doctor says.
To discover the sexual pleasures these massage tools offer as an extra benefit is not about push a button but about re-wiring to your mental energy. There is no simple receipt what to do next. Nevertheless you might find help in a manual to understand your vibes first. If you like, try a search for 'PDF The Multi-OrgasmicMan'. The first item Mama Goo*** is showing will be the book I talk about. Good luck. 🙂

Never mind! I wish you all the luck possible on your journey, take it seriously and you will achieve goals you never dreamed of. What ever it takes, believe me, it's worth it.
Perhaps I should add two things that helped me on my way. Qigong might have enforced my senses to feel my vibes. Erotic Hypnosis may have paved my way, too, helping to let s/o else take over command. Becoming a multi-orgasmic man is about feelings and visualizations lucky mulit-orgasmic girls are born with. And it's more about letting go and giving up control than about voluntary moves or actions the doctor suggests on the medical side.
Good vibes on all your way! Take care!

I originally got the Aneros for prostate health. I have BPH and I urinate more than I'd like to, especially at night, so my doctor recommended prostate massage. ...and the doctor recommended the Aneros. I only got it for prostate massage to help my enlarged prostate.

Welcome to the Aneros Forums, you are fortunate to have a doctor enlightened enough to recommend a prostate massager for treating your BPH symptoms rather than a heavy regime of medications. FYI, High Island Health LLC is the parent company & manufacturer of the Aneros ® brand of prostate massagers. This patented device was originally and is currently offered for sale as the Pro-State ® line of massagers on the High Island Health website. The HIH website is primarily oriented toward the health aspects and benefits of prostate massage in accord with Oriental medicine for prostate related issues. I encourage you to check out that site to learn more about the health benefits. You may also be interested in reading about the ongoing Columbia Medical School study using the Pro-State massagers. The High Island Health website also provides links to additional information on prostate health, the Aneros® website, by contrast, is oriented toward the sensual, pleasure aspects of prostate massage.

And I did the no-hands method, just clenched and relaxed my sphincter over and over. I felt the Aneros in there, but that's all. I didn't feel anything pleasurable. Nor did it feel like it was massaging my prostate, although I wouldn't know what that felt like. I only did it for five minutes. But there wasn't any motivation to continue.

Regular use of your prostate massager (2-3 times per week for 20-30 min. each session) will help your BPH symptoms. You will probably start to notice improved urination and reduced urinary urgency after 2-3 months of use (perhaps even sooner). Striving for better prostate health, without drugs, should provide all the motivation needed to continue your exercises. It is quite normal for new users to feel little or few sensations in their early sessions but as you continue your practice and focused exercises new sensations will emerge. If you allow yourself to focus on these sensations they will start to take on pleasurable associations, especially if you have adopted the mind set that this activity is good for your health. Enhancing these pleasure sensations takes you into the realm of psychology more than physiology.

Do men actually have orgasms while using it?

YES, most definitely but there is a learning curve to attune yourself to this practice. This is what is referred to as 'rewiring', here on the Forums, to get into the orgasmic zone of practice.

Should I do it longer?

Initially, your sessions can be as noted above, but as you gain muscle tone, strength and endurance with your exercises, you may opt for extended sessions (especially as you gain more pleasure from them).

Should I force myself to go for an hour or something?

NO, forcing yourself to adhere to a strict time schedule is too much like work! Aneros use is meant to be pleasurable, it should be more like adventurous PLAY! If your body is not desirous of this stimulation then wait until it is, you will find that the process of regular Anerosessions will lead you to wanting to do them again.

I agree with @SOwithoutAneros about doing more reading, as I noted above, the pleasure aspect is enhanced through one's psychology and delving into this realm is where your pleasure can be measurably increased. I would recommend you read the thread Identifying Obstacles to Progress and its counterpoint thread Identifying Facilitators to Progress for some suggestions to aid your journey. Good Vibes to You !

Chapeau, @rumel, you are the good soul of this forum. I owe you my deepest respect and gratitude for your extraordinary efforts, you're welcoming every newbie with. It's always a huge benefit to read your answers as they are profound in a comprehensive, clear and in-depth manner. Though (Cross your fingers!) not suffering from any prostate issue you again widened my horizon as I learned much about the medical side my lustful friends provide. Thanks a lot and good vibes to you too!
