Hi there,
Virgin Aneros user (4-5 sessions) and so far had no results whatsoever, or at least I don't think I have.
I've never had the urge to pee and there are often times when despite it being in and me contracting I begin to lose my erection almost as if I've lost interest.
Tried the breathing excercises and stuff but it just doesn't seem to get any feelings or anything going. I would say that the only things that's happened so far is that after a while the spot where the perinum tab is pushing starts to feel sore or hot, as if it's a rash. But the feeling goes away very quickly and there's no long term feeling of discomfort.
Should you be able to feel the Aneros actually inside you (as in pressing on bits inside your body) because I can't feeling anything but the tab, which does work with getting an initial erection and prostate fluid, but after a time the feeling just goes.
Have checked over threads and continue to try but getting a little frustrated.
Thanks,
Trebor
Trebor,
Which model are you using?
BF Mayfield
i too am having the same results(which is NONE) i am using the helix
I'm using the MGX version.
I had another go last night and for a minute I thought I was onto something. Ever so slight numb sensation (or tingling) around my gluteus maximus regions. But it quickly went again.
Trebor
After about 6 sessions with the MGX I also had the same experience, (very little) if I contract very hard I feel it pushing on, or poking on something. I am starting to temporarily modify the tab for now by adding hot glue. (Used as a spacer, instead of heating and bending the tab) I thank I am feeling a little pressure on the prostate but it will take some time to tell if this will do anything.
Trebor,
I, ofcourse, bow to the wisdom of BF Mayfield on this subject. But I just wanted to pass on that if you have prostate fluid, your MGX is hitting where it should. I think that the prostate in many cases needs to be lulled into service. It has been sitting there dormant for your whole life. I know that it took me a while before I was getting much feeling, but it gets easier. I look at it as this sleeping giant that needs to be awaken. Take it slow, or you could piss it off.
Good luck to you.

Trebor,
Buster is quite correct, the appeareance of fluid does suggest that something is going on down there (although an emission of this sort can occur as a result of high states of arousal as well....without any direct prostate stimulation). The reason that I asked which model you were using is that I've seen more SGX users writing in the forum lately. That model can be problematic for some individuals, as it is the smallest (in length and girth) and as a result may afford insufficient prostate contact. Given that you're using the MGX, (and although it's not a certainty), the chances are that it is sufficiently engaging your prostate, even though it may not feel like it at the present time.
Buster's statement about the prostate being dormant is very astute as well. There seems to be a process of rewiring that one must go through before things really get off the ground. What it amounts to is that you have this area in your body that is accustomed to having sensation channeled through it, without any direct stimulation. Up until now, your penis has been receiving all of the direct stimulation. Your penis has a tremendous density of sensory nerve endings at the surface of the skin, your prostate far less so. Therefore, the perception of sensation by the prostate may be more vague at first. Over time as you become more acquainted with these sensations at their most subtle levels, you will find that they grow in magnitude.
Your anus by contrast has a well defined sensory nerve support, while the perineal accupressure spot is the nexus of nerve traffic flowing to and from the prostate, penis and anus. Bear in mind that the concept of the Aneros is not to hammer any one area into an instant orgasm, but to gently stimulate ALL THREE AREAS SIMULTANEOUSLY in order to develop an arousal that builds to this non-ejaculatory phenomenon that we call the Super O.
Different body positions can yield more or less pressure to the prostate. Try lying on your side, first left, then right. Stay with each for a good 10 to 15 minutes, be patient and be observant and wait to see what develops. You might also try kneeling, on all fours, squatting and perhaps standing. Clearly, there are some of these positions that would be less practical for an entire session, but what this is about is exploring and experimenting....so have at it a bit and have fun.
It's important to remember that the device functions by creating a positive feedback loop between you prostate, anus and the perineal accupressure spot. So it is of less importance that you feel a great deal of direct sensation in your prostate, initially. Again, this will develop over time.
If you've read some of my other posts, you may have seen a section where I suggested that an individual use erotica to visually stimulate himself while the Aneros is in place. What this about is gently training the prostate to become accustomed to direct stimulation. If you enjoy erotica, give this a try....and consider timing some gentle anal contraction to something that you might be viewing. If videos are too canned for you, you might consider having a partner participate in the process by having them masturbate in front of you. Get revved up! And use mental focus and breathing to center this arousal towards your prostate. If all goes well you may find some involuntaries occuring. These are a sign that you're on the right track.
Enjoy!

I ordered the SGX version, because I am a new anal experimenter and figured smaller would be less uncomfortable. However, I have tried it several times and agree with Trebors analasys. I feel NOTHING. Also the suggested directions recommend inserting it half way and then letting it finish entering on its own. That never happens. I use more then plenty lubricant and it never acts like it wants to finish entering on its own. I finally have to slowely push it in. I dont even get any sensation from the tab. Can someone give me more advice short of try it 100 times and somewhere around 93rd time you will start feeling something. Kinda hard to stay interested and find the time to attempt it that many times when I feel absolutely nothing at all each time. Have yet to get an erection at all at any point when trying the thing. Ideas?
Pavilion,
First, keep in mind that your issues are not necessarily the same as Trebors' . Where it's sometimes helpful to compare your results to another's, it's difficult to know if they are using it under the exact same conditions as you are or if there aren't certain slight anatomical variations that exist that might be effecting the outcome. I've suggested to Trebor in my previous post that his situation may be related to his technique. Yours however, may have something more to do with the model that you've chosen. Your statement that the unit would not seat itself properly may be an indication of that. While it is true that the SGX can be a warm-up for the anal novice, it can also be insufficient in size (particularly in length) to afford good prostate contact. This model was originally designed for the Asian market, and although there have been those who have found success with this model, I would have to say that there have been just as many who have found it lacking.
In the past, my advice on the SGX has been, if you're having some measure of success with it, (you're experiencing sensations fairly consistently from it), then stay with a while and see where it takes you. On the other hand, if you been at it for several months with no sensation from it, or you find that it doesn't fit properly...make a change. You may find that the greater length of one of these other units not only affords more prostate contact, but that it's taper works better for you as well.
No, you shouldn't have to try this 93 times before experiencing ANY sensations from it. If that is the case the chances are that you need to make a change in your technique. That having been said, the journey to the Super O requires some patient exploration on your part, which WILL take time. Don't give up!

I wanted to add something of my recent experience with the MGX. I am a 50-something and bought the device about a month ago. I have been wrestling with some of the same issues that others in this thread- no intense sensation on the prostate, soreness where the perineum tab hits, frustration and buyers remorse. I considered doing some modification of the tab as others have done, or the purchase of the Helix. I had been spending almost an hour a night giving myself a workout with nothing special happening. Last night, all of a sudden, WHAM, I was sweating, my limp penis felt like it was on fire, I was breathing heavily and afterwards I had an intense feeling of refreshment and well-being. I have been telling myself that I had a break-through although there is no way that I could adequately describe the sensation. It is something that I would definitely like to happen again and I can't wait to try again tonight to see if I can go for an encore.
In the run-up, here are some things that I think I was doing wrong. 1) I was expecting something akin to a regular orgasm to overtake me- what I experienced wasn't like that- it was dramatically different but distinctly pleasurable. 2) I was squeezing too hard, leading to discomfort, which tended to kill the pleasurable sensations that I was seeking. 3) I was fixating on the "O" and not just enjoying the things that I was feeling. 4) I wasn't sufficiently excited since my fixation was hijacking my mind and turning the experience into some kind of contest- me against the device.
Here are some of the things that I did to get past the barrier that I had erected for myself. I used several different positions, a lighter 'squeeze', I positioned the perineum tab a little farther down toward the rectum, and tried to stop thinking about what I was doing and start assessing the feelings that I was looking for. A position that has become a favorite of mine is on my knees, my trunk straight up and my hands on my hips. This gives me the best sensations, but is very tiring so I use it for a warm-up. Another variation is with my knees on the floor and my head resting on the side of the bed. This is less tiring and almost as good for sensation. By sensations, what I was trying to accomplish is to "feel" the perineum tab and at the same time feel the business end of the device. I finally relaxed enough where I would get a 'bump' with the head of the device on an area that seemed to give me a bit of a quiver. Rather than my usual habit of "Going for the Gold" by continuing to hammer, I just continued to train the muscles so that I could reliably duplicate the 'bump' that was feeling good. As I continued to experiment, my heart would begin to race, I would feel flush, and I would get the sensation of fluid moving in my penis, although no fluid was ever apparent at the tip. Again, just the pleasurable sensation, so I would key on that. As I began to tire, I switched position on the bed on my side with my knees up, then finally on my back with my feet together and my knees spread wide apart. I began to move my knees together and apart, and then started playing with my nipples. I was relaxed, my mind was clear and I just let the sensations wash over me. I continued to feel the press of the tab, the light 'bump' that I had trained my muscles to provide, the feeling of my lightly pinching my nipples with the one hand, and lightly stroking my 'sack' with the other. I was getting quite excited and then, WHOOSH, things started to happen. I maintained my composure and just experienced all of the sensations as my breath quickened, and I felt a rush of euphoria. This continued until I allowed myself to have it end. Afterwards I felt much the same afterglow as with a regular orgasm. I didn't cry out, growl like a bear, or any of the other things that I think I was expecting, and maybe that I was trying too hard to have happen. Was this the Super-O? I really don't know, but it was good enough that I would like to have it happen again and again.
Sorry for being so long-winded and thanks for reading. I hope my experience well be a help to others.
Hal J.
