No luck with Helix Syn... Buy new model?

Hello everyone,

I purchased the Helix Syn about a year ago, and I have been using it regularly since (roughly 2 - 5 times a week). So far, I have had very little luck feeling anything. I have not experienced any involuntary contractions, though I have previously felt what felt like waves throughout my legs, as if my body was "breathing." I usually warm up by taking a shower, doing some 4-7-8 breathing, lubricating the helix syn with vaseline first, then astroglide, reinserting 2 - 3 times. Sometimes, I'll smoke a little weed before the session. During the session, I typically lay flat on my back and either do contractions or fantasize while occasionally giving the nipples some attention.

I know patience is key with this little guy, but after a year, I am starting to feel like there is some kind of problem with the synergy between me and the helix syn.

I've been looking into some of the bigger models such as the maximus and the progasm, wondering whether or not I'd have some more luck with them... What do you gentlemen think about this?

Also, if anyone has any advice on what measures I should take to have better results, that would be much appreciated 🙂

@ScoobertDoobert -

Good Q. Short response: Bigger doesn't necessarily work better.

Elaboration:

I have seven doodads, ranging in smallest to largest: the Peridise twins, the Tempo, the Eupho, the Helix, the MGX, and the Maximus (the last four all Tridents). I kept adding to my collection for a couple of reasons, namely that I was new and wanted to sample what works best for me, and also because I was impatient, and wanted to see if the reason I wasn't getting off the way I'd read about was to be blamed on the wrong toy. Whoops. The first time I tried the Max, it was thrilling. No orgasms for me as of yet, but the Max was thoroughly enjoyable, and definitely fulfilling. The next time? Kind of blah. The Helix was the opposite. The MGX has gone hither and yon. Sometimes it's a highly engineered prostate pleasure device, other times a piece of plastic in my ass. Why?

The reality is that each session is different. Think masturbating; it can vary from amazing to unfulfilling. And that's still our same hand. Ergo, it has to be our moods, minds, and physiological state that are most responsible. Not to say that it isn't your Helix Syn...you did use the word synergy, so you know there's a connection. A new toy might be just the thing, but for the change in routine and perspective as much as the actual sensate responses. No harm in trying, though.

With that, I'd say a little variation is in order. Get something that's different enough from the Helix to charge them both. We don't eat the same thing every day, because variety makes us enjoy the old faves more. Try a Max, or go to the other end and get a Eupho. If your Helix moves well, get something more filling. If it kind of stays in place, go smaller and get something that travels. The other day I sat for an hour cross-legged in meditation with the Tempo inserted, and it was pleasurable beyond description. Before that position, I didn't get anything out of it any different from the Peridises.

Rotation might be the ticket. Grab a Eupho and a Max, and cycle them. Betcha things start happening again.

Best of luck.

Z

P.S. The Progasm doesn't interest me. I think some movement is important, and that torpedo looks like it'll dismast the good ship prostate.

i would generally agree with @Zenopause but let me add a few words. It's risky to expect much of anything during a session. You certainly want to go through the right technique and it would appear that you do that. I would suggest just one other "new" prostate massager to add to your collection of one! Another thing I would suggest is to try a different lube. I have noticed a variation in movement depending on the lube I select. That change-up may be just what your body (and prostate) is craving. I just had a very good session with my Eupho Classic. I am determined again to get some BPH relief (see my blog) and nothing more. My expectations for this session didn't involve any prostate pleasure, but nevertheless, I got some anyway! Good luck on your journey! And don't forget to keep on posting your results!
