First, let me introduce myself: I'm a 24 year old newbie to the Aneros. I heard about the Aneros a couple years ago, but unfortunately due to my stereotypical views on anal play I was reluctant to purchase one (even more on this later). After researching it for about two years (off and on) I finally got over my preconceived notions and decided to purchase the MGX. I received it happily last Wednesday.
Last Thursday I decided to give it a try, and after approximately 90 minutes...nothing spectacular. I knew that this wasn't anything to get upset about, and I know that with more practice I would enjoy my experiences with it more. I also knew that I still had some pre-existing paranoia about the whole anal play thing, and it definitely detracted from my experience the first try.
I took a day off from the Aneros Friday, and decided to give it a second go Saturday. I was actually able to get used to the thing, and I DEFINITELY got some results, though not the heralded "super-o". I could feel an immensely pleasurable pressure building (which was awesome, it started out minuscule and then was almost overpowering) but it vanished. I could get this feeling to return throughout my 90 minute session (through a mix of PC/Anal contractions, hope I used the right terminology) but I never could see it through to the end. This however left me almost drooling for the conclusion of my quest for the Super-O (I can't explain it, but I feel like I'm close).
Now to my questions (and thank you all who read that long introductory ramble):
1. My fears: I'm sure they are unwarranted but I'm almost (well, I lied, I AM) afraid to move around much if at all when using the Aneros. Can I safely stand up / move to a different spot? Can I sit in a chair (obviously not directly on top of the Aneros, that would likely be a terrible idea) at a slight angle? Can I roll over? Etc. I know it may seem like a silly question, but being new and still having some lingering fears / doubts from my past notions about anal play I feel are hampering my experiences with the Aneros (as I know a good portion of correct usage is related to the mind).
2. Can I give it a shot again? I'm still new to this, and I know you shouldn't repeatedly use the Aneros more then one day in a row, but since I'm new and haven't actually achieved a "super-o" yet would it be safe to give it a go again before I head off to bed? I haven't felt any pain or discomfort so I assume I'm doing things right =P I feel like I'm in an extremely good place mentally today and can't guarantee I'll be there tomorrow (it's Monday = )...will another go be detrimental to my health in any way?
3. Any tips for me based on what I've shared so far?
Thanks for your time everyone who decides to read and/or reply to this.
Hello TacoKing,
Congratulations on your purchase of the MGX. An excellent Aneros model to begin with.
And welcome to Aneros forums. 🙂
Can I safely stand up / move to a different spot? Can I roll over?
Yes. And I would encourage to try a number of different positions till you find one that you feel comfortable in for a long amount of time, and gives you the most pleasure. And yes your fears are unwarranted. As long as your anus is relaxed and you are not feeling any discomfort with the MGX inserted. You should not have any problems with moving about and getting into new positions.
Can I sit in a chair (obviously not directly on top of the Aneros, that would likely be a terrible idea) at a slight angle?
I wouldn't recommend doing so without cutting of the handle/tail. Unless you have some way to prop your bottom up so the handle/tail does no touch the seat of the chair. I've stupidly tried it two or three times with my un-modified Helix and MGX. And regretted it each time from the pain that occurred afterwards. The following link talks about different ways to remove the handle/tail.

Yes this is very true. Until you get over the notion that anal play is bad, gay, taboo, sinful, take your pick of worthless cultural dogma, you will have a much more difficult time learning to find pleasure from your MGX.
2. Can I give it a shot again? will another go be detrimental to my health in any way?
I think as long as you are not experiencing any pain or discomfort between sessions, it would probably be ok. Although, from what I have read here in the forum, it is generally recommended to have a day in between session to allow the re-wiring process some time to occur.
I feel like I'm in an extremely good place mentally today and can't guarantee I'll be there tomorrow
I think listening to the signals your body gives you is generally a good idea. Once again, as long as you are not experiencing and discomfort or pain from previous sessions, then try it and see what happens.
3. Any tips for me based on what I've shared so far?
Read as much as you can here in the forum. And don't be afraid to ask questions as you continue the process. Learn to allow your body and therefore your anus to completely relax. Contractions will be involuntary when you have relaxed enough. Do your absolute best not to masturbate for while to increase your arousal before a session. And particularly don't masturbate during a session, or right afterwards. It's very difficult to find pleasure in the prostrate and anus, if you keep using your penis for pleasure. Don't make any expectations as to the outcome of a session. Just enjoy the journey. Keep practicing on a regular basis. You will not figure it out by not using out of disappointment or frustration.
This is only a small amount of advice. There is so much more that you can read about here in the forum. And also reading peoples success stories helps to provide some encouragement to keep at it till you succeed.
Good luck! 🙂
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. I did decide to give it a go, and it was a good idea. While I didn't achieve a "super-o" as corny as it sounds I realized I have mobility. I tried a variety of different positions and while I never had a "super-o" the entire experience was pleasurable in a way that I can't explain very well at the moment...mostly because it was foreign. I'll get there someday, and I am far from discouraged. I think the fourth session (whenever that may be) will be something special. I've become comfortable with Aneros (especially after yesterday) so now I can really have fun the next go around =)
Thanks for the help, I just needed random anonymous advice (because I certainly wasn't going to ask anyone I know in real life, not sure how they would take it) and it helped a ton. Thanks!
Your very welcome TacoKing.
I'm more than happy to help. 🙂
Years ago I use to wear my Aneros for more than 24 hours at a time. This was of course after cutting off the handle. Sitting, driving and normal life was no problem. I can’t imagine how anything less than falling on your tailbone with the Aneros in would be painful. Have no fear about moving around. Love Is pretty much answered all of your other questions, so enjoy!
