Hello everyone. I bought my aneros helix syn about 2 months ago. I dont know if I have had the super O yet, but today seemed very close. Legs were quivering on their own and got hard right away. Super O or not, it felt wonderful. I know every massager will react different for every person, but hoping I can find someone that may have had a similar experience. When i get the best sensations using the helix, the best sensations come after about 3 hours, and then the sensations are easily achieved and one right after another. I was wondering if I upgraded to a progasm if that would reduce the time of my sessions. I am never in pain, but sometimes worry when I leave it in too long? Any advice on that? Also, after a long session the sensations are powerful and I imagine it is because my prostate is engorged with blood, do I need to release with an orgasm just to relieve the prostate or am I just thinking too much? After a long session, things seem tingle and feel great for quite a while, it feels so good, I am tempted to put the aneros back in as I feel like it being back in would send me over the edge, is it OK to go right back at it? I have read a lot on the forums and wiki, and just wanted to ask these few questions as a newbie not knowing exact answers. Many many thanks!
Hello everyone. I bought my aneros helix syn about 2 months ago.
Welcome! 🙂
I dont know if I have had the super O yet, but today seemed very close. Legs were quivering on their own and got hard right away. Super O or not, it felt wonderful. I know every massager will react different for every person, but hoping I can find someone that may have had a similar experience. Sounds like you are making good progress with the Helix Syn!
I was wondering if I upgraded to a progasm if that would reduce the time of my sessions.
Why exactly does a Progasm equal an upgrade?
Why would it not in fact be a downgrade? (i.e. it makes it even longer to get a super O?)
Do not be fooled into the typical masculine thinking that bigger or faster equals better.
The Progasm may or may not make you feel better, and that would be down to various factors specific to you, not simply because it's bigger.
Don't rush things, there's no need to reduce the time to an orgasm.
I agree with lonewolf8. I have a Progasm, but it doesn't move enough for me. I would stick with conventional sized units, or maybe try a Maximus.

Re: time reduction - maybe yes, maybe no. Each Aneros model has a slightly different effect with an individual's anatomy. Unfortunately there is no way to predict how well a particular model will work for you! You may wish to read the user poll How long is just right to ride your Aneros? for your fellow members practice thoughts. There are no real 'rules' when it comes to Aneros use, each man has to experiment to find the combination of techniques and circumstances which will lead to his Super-O, the time factor is just another one of the variables involved with one's practice. That being said, there is no point in stoically extending an Anerosession in hopes of it improving when your intuition is telling you it won't. Listen to your body's subtle language/whispering, rather than your ego's desire to make something happen. As long as your lube is holding up, you are not feeling an distracting discomfort and pleasure waves are still being generated then enjoy your session regardless of time length.
Also, after a long session ..., do I need to release with an orgasm just to relieve the prostate or am I just thinking too much?
You are probably over thinking this! NO, you do not need to induce an ejaculatory orgasm, in fact semen retention may aid in elevating arousal and pleasure wave generation while also decreasing the time to generate same (see Aneros, Arousal & Abstinence).
After a long session, ...I am tempted to put the aneros back in as I feel like it being back in would send me over the edge, is it OK to go right back at it?
No rules, you just have to evaluate your own feelings to determine if any additional time would prove effective. However, I would caution you on the illusion of "...the edge," (please see Super-O Myths & Illusions regarding 'the Edge' and a couple of other myths.). Prostate based orgasms are qualitatively different than penile based ejaculatory orgasms and there is, most frequently, no PONR or induced ejaculatory reflex if the penis is left unstimulated.
I have read a lot on the forums and wiki,... not knowing exact answers.
That's great you have been doing due diligence in researching but still understand this, most of the information is based on individuals opinions. While there may be a consensus of shared thoughts on many aspects of the Aneros journey, each individuals journey is still unique and therefore he will need to find the "...exact answers" to his questions through his own practice.
