Hi, I am very new to the forums and the aneros as well. I have had 2 session so far, both moderately pleasurable and the second one definitely better than the first. The high points being a throbbing sensation deep in my anus, and my penis if it was erect (I cycled through being erect and not erect during the whole session). So I think I am getting some results, albeit small, but I understand that this is a journey and a process.
So after doing some reading I find out about all of these different types of contractions that should be experimented with. I also read that a base level contraction should be held the entire session. I believe that I either used a pc contraction (where my testicles rise up?) or an anal contraction (the kind you use to stop yourself from breaking wind or shitting your pants if you really need to go?). But then I read about this rectal contraction otherwise know as bearing down? What is this? Is this the muscles I use when I'm having a bowl movement? Like I'm pushing out? I have not tried this yet if that is correct. So could someone break down the different types of contractions for me, and how to produce them?
Side note: during my second session I had moderate success holding a base level contractions, and then I began my breathing exercises and deeper contractions. After about 20 or so minutes of this i was tired and relaxed my anus, but it seemed like my body was still holding somewhat of a contraction. Is this the involuntary that everyone talks about? I was thinking for my next session I would try to get to this point again and then try some rectal contractions if I can ever figure out how they are done.
tldr: A simple breakdown of the different types of contractions and how to produce them. A comparison of how they are used in every day life would be helpful so I can figure out what muscles they are and try to isolate them.
You are too obsessed with contractions. Doing voluntary contractions will not necessarily give you more progression in your journey. IMO body building the ass hole (training with voluntary contractions regularly) could prove to be detrimental to your journey. The majority of the ones that recommend the various contractions (ad nauseum) don't get consistent results , and have dud sessions as well. Some of them may not even Super O.
Take this from one that has never had a dud session. You should try the do nothing approach. You should wait for your contractions to involuntarily occur. Limit your sessions, and try not to become over zealous about the journey. You weren't having an involuntary contraction. Your ass hole was just overly tense, as a result of 20 minutes of body building.
Holding a contraction for 20 minutes or doing 20 minutes of contractions is way too extreme. Why would one hold a contraction throughout one's entire session? IMO I find that to be rather erroneous information. Perchance it is not even physically possible. After 20 minutes of contractions, I imagine your anus was smoking like the Hindenburg. At the rate you're going, you stand a big chance of crashing and burning.
Settle down and enjoy the experience. Stop being so analytical. And remember what works for one ass hole may not work for yours. Best of luck to you Asshopper. 😕
Take this from one that has never had a dud session.Some men have gifted ass holes, I guess you're one of them.
@imp
Id est, an Advanced Placement ass hole. A Magna Cum Laude ass hole. But alas, an ass hole that never has dud sessions! :-B
@lapse You will get conflicting informations because everyone's experience is different, very different. As for myself I'd follow Psopsquirter's advice.
Thanks for the advice guys, I'll definitely keep all this in mind during my next session.
For me, and I might be different, I was expecting the aneros to just be moving around on its own. I do feel a little of that but the involuntaries I get are more contractions I just can't help but have. I know I am doing the contracting but not in a way I am deliberately excercising a particular group of muscles.
@Lapse --- IMHO, the journey will show you, over time, how your own small contractions can nudge your session along. However, in the early stages of your journey, allow the sensations to come to you! As you sense the Aneros massaging your Prostate, and you continue to relax, the sensations, which often start out small, can grow with time and patience. Listening to your body and the sensations it produces will likely suggest that you contract harder...which is not usually the best technique. However, relaxing even further once you detect the sensations, is usually more valuable and surprisingly productive...sometimes to the point of being out right magical! You're teasing out the orgasms with your aneros, rather than forcing them out like with a traditional orgasm!

This is not what I call involuntaries.
@Canacan
Indeed. Maybe he is having voluntary-involuntary contractions; or involuntary-voluntary contractions.
Not sure which combo it is, but they are accompanied by incredible orgasms, so I don't worry about defining them. I imagine the involuntaries others describe must be quite exciting though. Maybe someday I will experience that added embellishment.
