I have the Helix, Progasm, and the Nexus glide but am having difficulty with insertion. I am heterosexuall and do not want to involve my girlfriend as she may be turned off. Is there a professional practicioner or doctor in the Philadelphia area that anyone can recommend?
I am only interested in the long term sexual beneftis, stronger erections, intense orgasms, etc. and would greatly appreciate any help that you can provide. I've tried numerous positions, none of which seems to work.
Trashman1234,
First, don't waste your time with the Nexus device. This unit is an inferior "knock-off" of the Aneros that just doesn't deliver. In particular with respect to your concerns the Glide is canted too far forward making insertion difficult and uncomfortable.
Regarding the Progasm, it is the largest product that Aneros makes, so if you're having difficulty inserting smaller units, a larger one is not the answer.
For detailed information I would refer you to the WIKI...it's all there! But generally I will tell you that the two things that come to mind with respect to insertion are prelubricating and taking your time. Prelubricating involves introducing a small of lubrication directly into the rectum where it acts as an internal well keeping the Aneros wet and slick. (Remember, no matter how copiously the massager itself is lubricated, a certain amount will be squeezed off as it passes through the anal canal).
Relaxing....easy to say...but for some, NOT easy to do. Gift yourself with this time for personal exploration. Be patient.... the first sessions may be consumed with attaining a state of relaxation adequate to the task. If so, that's okay. Rest assured that it will not always be this way.
On the matter of a referral to a professional in your area, I'm not sure what you're after. Is there a medical condition that plays into this for you?
Again for more information check out the Getting Started section in the WIKI.
Enjoy!

Hi trashman1234,
Welcome to the Forum,
Your interest in the long term benefits of the Aneros massagers is laudable, but like many things in life to get maximum benefit sometimes requires an investment of more than money. The Aneros experience is one of those things that may require you to make a personal investment of time and effort to learn about yourself, both your body and your mind.
I can understand the private nature of this quest, and a reluctance to involve your girlfriend but I’m not sure you need to get a medical professional involved unless you have inflicted some damage to yourself in early attempts at practice.
If that is the case here, then you should of course seek competent medical advice immediately to address any physical maladies from which you may be suffering.
If your request for assistance is just to facilitate insertion of your new Aneros toys, all you really need to know is to relax your anal sphincter, apply plenty of lubrication to your anus and your massager, be slow and gentle with the insertion process. Very likely any difficulties you may be experiencing are due to tight, stressed muscles clamping down your anus and making insertion problematic. I recommend that you read the “Insertion” section in the WIKI, see - http://wiki.malegspot.com/index.php?title=Getting_Started#Insertion for some good starting information, reading the whole ‘Getting Started’ portion of the WIKI is even better.
I would recommend that you forego attempting to use the Progasm model until you are comfortable with inserting and using the Helix model. I am not a user of or familiar with the other model you mentioned, but can attest to the effectiveness of the Helix model. It is a good model to learn with.

Hey trashman1234!
I suggest you spend some time exploring your anus with your hands, although this can sound weird to you but as you use your fingers with lube you will get allot of blood flowing in the area making anus very flexible and very easy insertion. In addition you will provide enough lubrication for the device.
Thanks everyone!
