New trembling kind of sensation (but only lasted a few seconds - SIGH)

I had a session last night since I had that Saturday night to myself. I wasn't particularly horny, or feeling 100% so I wasn't expecting anything good. The only reason I chose to have a session yesterday was:

a) coz I installed a lock on my bedroom door. YAY!
b) coz I want to speed up progress and not leave a week between sessions.

I decided to try my MGX, which I have not used in over a year. I figure that my Helix hasn't progressed me - maybe I jumped the gun by swapping from the MGX. I'm 6 foot 3 ish, but recently, after disappointing Helix sessions, I am now wondering if I have a lower-positioned prostate.

Anyway, I inserted it and had some pleasant awareness and erection - is that an Aneros eroticism or a sign of prostate contact? I've had this with the Helix a few times, but that doesn't mean the session turns out to be worthwhile.

So I do some contractions, always returning to a baseline one, and deep breathing. Then I notice a slight pleasurable sensation. It was as if either the MGX or my muscles were trembling or quivering. It was different from an involuntary contraction (which I can no longer have, it seems), as they seemed to have more movement. They seemed more of a "stroking" the prostate or even "hitting the prostate" action, whereas this trembling felt like very small movements. It felt good but only lasted for a few seconds. I do feel that the baseline contraction helped encourage this action/sensation.

The rest of the session was rubbish, and I was tired, so I fell asleep.

Sp, what happened? What was that?

Really relaxing for about ten minutes with it in and then doing gentle PC contractions with light nipple stimulation and trying to encourage the fluttering feeling where the massager is positioned in the anus is the first step to getting things to happen for me. Almost always, this will eventually lead to an involuntary contraction and soon afterward pleasant, pre-orgasmic like sensations in my pelvis, which if it's a good session, will flow into my penis to the point I feel I'm ejaculating. It's been great what practicing at having dry orgasms has done for traditional sex with my wife. Hope you can have similarly good results.

Hi MyTurn and slimjim!!

About 6'3+" (shrinking with age) and have always been disappointed too with my Helix, except for rare sessions when I am in a legs up and over me while I'm on my back position. Then I can get a persistent light prostate massage that advances things, butt has never taken me directly to a dry-O or Super-O level. That position changes the contact geometry enough for the Helix to work, some times, for me.

OTOH!! I had a session on the weekend where I began with the Max (current favourite starting pitcher!) and went through my whole Aneros team lineup. Had not used my MGX for over a year, even though it was my only model for the first year of my journey. MGX produced by far the best results in the session!!! Eupho was able to take me somewhat higher when it followed MGX, butt most surprisingly MGX was the MVP of that great sunshine-baked-butt session.

So MT, do not sigh negatively. Without reaching for it, let your body/mind savour the feelings and memorize the muscle movement patterns, however brief, on their own while you relax, and then take MGX for a drive again soon, most importantly, with NO expectations. Eventually your body/mind gets it and the energies feel comfortable exposing themselves to you whenever they choose! Relax. Enjoy.

Hi mt,

those little vibes (trembling/quivering), possibly from very gentle contact, are the good things. Should they return in a future session, make some mental notes to capture the approach you used to trigger them.

Here's my cut on Helix: Unlike MGX with it's very straightforward/constant prostate contact and movements driven by anal sphincter contractions, Helix and Eupho have some extra capabilities at the cost of less well defined relationships between sphincter action and prostate massage.

When fully lubed, in a well relaxed bod, these newer generation tools allow the smooth muscles of the anal canal and rectum to influence tool movement and control the amount of 'squeeze' applied to the prostate. Without the tapered and ridged stem of the MGX, the Helix and Eupho slide easily in and out of the sphincter allowing movement from just one's breathing.

So, while you can get some MGX style action from a Helix, there are other modes to explore and those can work without as much expenditure of energy (good for old guys like me.) I find MGX rather immune to effects of gravity and body position when compared to Helix. OTOH, those quirks in Helix can be exploited.

Helix was my first tool and it was also an unintended choice that supported my first Super-O. ( I was reaching for Eupho and grabbed Helix by mistake) While Eupho is my most agile tool, I like the added mass and less 'flighty' action of Helix. (Eupho is very sensitive to subtle changes in position/posture and my sessions, at home, are most times on a rather unstable waterbed.)

However, the versatility designed into Helix also causes me some problems. I get my best prostate contact from Helix on my stomach (gravity); butt, that position gets me into pubic region stim that hypes my penile urges. (sixty years of missionary position action has yielded some heavy pubic wiring) When that happens early in a session my focus is torn from my prostate and it takes some cool discipline to recover.

A back position similar to what artform uses is also good with Helix. Deeply relaxed, I can sometimes maneuver Helix so that its stem is resting on the posterior surface of my inner anal sphincter while the anterior surface of Helix is in gentle contact with my prostate. Two or three minutes in that 'pose' is a sure fire path to artform's definition of bliss. Keeping Helix in that position with only minor muscle moves and relaxed breathing is a challenge.

However, you've got 3" more height on me and it might be a reach to prop Helix into that angle. (I can do it fully prone, artform's posture might compress the canal just enough to make this work for you. -- perhaps some wisely placed pillows ... etc.)

My internal dimensions tend to vary somewhat (perhaps from variations in intestinal bulk or gas ??) and I can't always achieve the above geometry. When that's the case, I roll onto a side position then roll about 45 deg. more toward a stomach position. That position gives me a slight gravity boost to pull Helix into prostate contact while still leaving my left nip and navel (Dan Tien) accessible. Once really relaxed, some modified Male Deer and nip work can support a nice journey into pleasure.

Other than for insuring complete insertion, distributing lube or repositioning a tool, I've ceased intentional contractions or introducing the stress of maintaining a baseline with either Helix or Eupho. As an older person, I run out of stored energy quickly and don't want to waste it. I try to accomplish everything with just my belly breathing and posture, saving energy for what my brain and CNS wants to do to pleasure itself.

Find your best posture for a given session and the chosen tool. Relax, relax more, meditate with or without audio help, relax more, breathe, allow your prostate into it's 'trance-state' so that the tool, p-tab and prostate are one blurry ball of pleasure. You may recite a mantra reminding yourself that you can exit your pleasure state at anytime you wish. Be absorbed by the pleasure and let it grow throughout your pelvis. Note the small quivvers/tremors and quickly reflect on what might have led to them. (I leave my laptop's audio capture run alongside my bed during 'journey sessions' and verbally 'dump' my thoughts since I seldom recall small, but valuable, details of any session that's led to heavy whole body orgasm.)

Allow the pleasure to grow in waves just as the seashore bathes the beach during the transition to high tide. When it grows larger than your physical being it's time to just fall into the pleasure. Remember that, like water, the pleasure will buoy your body and soul. You can exit anytime you wish. Just like putting you feet on the sand under the waves and walking ashore.

I'm glad you got the door lock. Having to deal with the constant stress of someone 'popping into' your safe haven must have been a real session killer. So now, relax, enjoy your bod, breathe and you'll be well on your path to the goodness of this venture.

slimjm, I waited for a while in last night's session - not 10 mins tho. It was a quickie!

So MT, do not sigh negatively. Artform, thanks. You know, maybe it might have been psychological - who knows? - but when I was preparing for the session, I felt something going on in there: it ranged from a need to go toilet (I'd already been) to a general awareness of my prostate. Almost as if it remembered the pleasurable 5 seconds from the previous session.

I used the MGX last session to, because I've given the Helix lots of oportunity to shine. I have to admit though, that I am adhering more closely to the Wiki in terms of (baseline) contractions and breathing.

When I had the session last night, there was a chicken and egg situation: Did I get an erection coz of the very subtle but nice sensations of the MGX or did I get some very subtle sensations because of a slight peak in my arousal (I know erection doesn't always mean full body and mind arousal).

Rook - 60 years of sex? You must be at least 75?

I may have improved the way I utilize contractions, breathing, etc, in sessions over my last 2, but I also have used the MGX over the last 2, so I don't know which helped. I can't get over the Helix not doing anything for me. Prostate contact is hardly detectable whereas the less aggressive MGX seems like it might be doing something.

Maybe you're right - the Helix is too dependent on gravity and geometry. Thanks for the encouragement. Next post, I will talk about last night's session.

Yesterday's session summary:

Not bad! I used the MGX again. I inserted. I need about 1 min to get over that "uncomfortable object in my butt" feeling. Almost like I need to poo it out. Kind of burney like diahorrea, but it subsides after about 40 seconds. I don't remember if I've had this with every session, but it's certainly something I notice now.

I did the breathing and contractions (holding a baseline contraction on exhaling) as it says in the Wiki, and I got a nice trembling feeling. It felt "erotic", even subtly pleasurable, but it did not last long. I would say maybe 10 seconds at most. It felt like, if that trembling style series of contractions - tremblactions (a combination of: 80% trembling, 20% involuntary contractions) - if they had continued, they would have taken me somewhere real enjoyable. I've actually had SOMETHING from the Aneros that I want more of (not including the involuntary contractions I had about 2 times a few months ago, but which never returned)!

I found it quite a struggle to breathe slower! I am way unfit. It took my mind out of the zone for a second. When the tremblactions stopped, I felt the desire to "help" then return. Now it felt like I was chasing pleasure, not allowing it. 🙁 I got some back for about 5 seconds, but I found it difficult to assess the percentage of 50-75% and baseline 20% contractions and coordinating these with breathing, etc. It felt like such a workout.

After that, I had about, say 15 involuntary contractions.

I find that after a subtle good sensation has occurred, I lose arousal or begin to subconsciously think: "I want that back" - I try not to, but the sensations are good enough to remember.
