New models coming soon?

Yes, the "Cumming Attractions" thread generally addresses what's new; it's been around since February of last year. The big talk early on was the Stainless Steel Peridise, which was to debut in April, 2009. Still haven't see hide nor hair of it. They announced a vibrating Aneros, called the Vice, at the AVN show in July, but nothing since. So basically, there's been nothing new since the Progasm Ice, and that's not being sold on many sites other than here recently. I've got no clue as to what's going on.

What's going on is a marked increase in the number of and variety of anal and prostate massage toys. Two years ago our local leather shop had only two or three Aneros models on display. That was half of the overall p-spot offerings. They were displayed in a small alcove where str8's and hetero couples seldom ventured.

Now the p-spot market is a prominent part of mainstream sales. It occupies a large pegboard and several feet of closed glass counter easily seen when one enters the store. Aneros is now a smaller fraction of what's on display. I'd guess it's gone from 80 or 90 percent of the store's dollar intake from the anal market to something less than a third. Last week the only Aneros products were Progasm (two colors), Helix and Eupho. Peridise wasn't there -- the two pegboard hooks were empty.

My wife just dropped a bundle of green on a spread of Fleshlight stuff for my birthday. Had the Stainless Peridise been available there's no doubt where the cash would have been spent; and, what would soon be in my butt.

Resting on one's laurels has never been a sound strategy, either in war or in the marketplace. Hope the folks in Houston can get the train back on it's tracks.

Wake up people in charge of aneros, the people are dying to pay money for a luxury version of the most elegant and special product to hit the market.
