Need for kegel exercise?

I have often seen it said here about doing kegels. I haven’t done any so far,but I’ve had good success regardless,both with Aneros and A-Less..
My question is,do I need to? What is the purpose of doing 100 kegels per day? Training the pelvic muscles does what? I came to find less force produced results,however,I don’t want to be missing out on something,so I’d be grateful for any thoughts and advice.

IMHO, Yes, but I don't think you need have to have a formal exercise regime to follow. Anerosessions and Anerosless sessions will usually involve Kegel contractions so you are exercising even then.

What is the purpose of doing 100 kegels per day?

It is generally agreed moderate physical exercise is a necessary activity to maintain good body health, this would also include exercises for the pelvic floor muscles. I don't know if there are a specific number of repetitions or duration of contractions recommended by physicians or physical therapists but the point is to get those muscles functioning efficiently to maintain good health.

Training the pelvic muscles does what?

Generally, exercising muscles increases muscle tone, strength and stamina, this would also apply to pelvic floor muscles. Increased pelvic muscle tone maximizes muscle efficiency in use of nutrients, blood flow and waste product removal, in other words the muscles just work better. Increased strength allows for stronger muscle contractions which may produce more intense pleasure waves during orgasm, it also gives you more range of control for movement of your Aneros massager. Increased stamina allows you to last longer before muscle fatigue sets in making long Anerosessions and multiple orgasms more likely. These benefits also apply to other sexual activities such as intercourse as well.

@rumel Thanks,are there any particular routines I could do? I might train em up a bit,although between Aneros,A-less,and sex,I’m at it 7 days a week as it is..do they effect sessions by way of your muscles being tired at night if you’ve been doing kegels in the day?..

There are numerous threads on the Forum which discuss Kegel exercise regimes such as The Kegels do work! Especially with Aless!, Kegels Question, Practicing kegels, Kegels? and Men doing kegels.... just to name a few. There are exercise apps available for download from the internet as well, you'll just need to do some searching to find something you think you'll like.

To a certain extent yes, obviously if you have really worked those muscles heavily during the day the muscles can be sore and need time to recover/rebuild which may negatively impact a desired Anerosession.

@Tommygunn look at it this way; most entries on this topic indicate good results when exercising Kegels so you can't go wrong. It's one exercise that doesn't make you dish out a lot of money for special equipment, it's easy to do, can be done anywhere, anytime and has proven health benefits as mentioned by @rumel .

@BigGlansDC , thank you for mentioning my post; I appreciate it. It might be a little heavy for a beginner but it paid huge dividends for me. Is it physical or mental? Does it matter?

@GGringo Thanks,I read your link from rumel,I also read some of the exchanged comments on the post. It all makes a lot of sense,I’ve also noticed my cremaster muscle,coming in from the sides as it were,top,middle and bottom,your correct in that. I’ve started your routine,had some nice sensations,and will build it up,if it opening of new door on this journey are always welcome

I was skeptical but let me tell you they have improved things for me. I made up my own different routine, but at 50 years + now, I haven’t woken up with hard ons this much since I was in my 30s. I don’t know how much is from the Aneros, but my precum has also increased quite noticeably as well. I fear saying just how much will come off as exaggerated but it’s pretty amazing.

Should I focus separating "front" kegels from "back" kegels or just squeeze everything? I feel like i can squeeze the place behind my penis, my rectum, and my butthole. All with varying degrees of accuracy. I have a hard time separating them, but I'm wondering what reasons there may be to try.
