I may be confused about what 'involuntary contractions' are. I've been assuming that your body basically takes over and 'bangs the heck out of you' with the Aneros. An involuntary constant in and out motion. But today, after about my 25th or so session, things were feeling pretty good, but I never felt my body take over like that. I did get to the point that when I would contract myself, then when I let go of the contraction, the Progasm stayed put, and wouldn't back off.
Is that what's meant by 'involuntary contraction'? Or is the involuntary contraction a more 'in and out, bang me like a cheap hooker' sort of thing?
To each, his own definition. Mine, just to kick off the thread for others:
-- an unintended muscular contraction or series of contractions (sometimes resembling tremor), usually in response to a voluntary (intended) contraction or from a mental or physical stimulation.
-- smooth muscle contractions (in muscle groups over which we have no ordinary control) --- these can be anywhere including inside the head, rectum etc.
-- perhaps rhythmic, perhaps not.
The involuntary contraction that drives the dry prostate orgasms with the Aneros takes a while to "learn", that is to identify and recognize how to amplify it when it starts. But it basically is where your rectum involuntarily tries to pull the massager in and "grip" it snugly in the rectum. This draws the P-tab into the perineum firmly and that "pivots" the head of the massager inside the rectum gently into the prostate gland where the nerves overlying it that course downward to the penis are massaged, producing the orgasm just like traditional penile stimulation would, but with the ejaculatory response un-linked from it, hence the orgasm is "dry".
For me it is a drawing in and gentle wiggling of the massager (in my case the favored Eupho) against the prostate. With rewiring you may experience an in and out motion probably no more than 1/4 inch or so, but not like you seem to be imagining. The best way I found to produce the responses is to relax with the massager in for about 10 minutes, then do gentle PC contractions, that is, the contraction you'd use to cut off urine flow midstream while tickling the nipples and "listening" for gentle wiggling contractions in the anal sphincter that grow into the involuntary "pulling in" of the massager without you intentionally "pulling in" with your anus at all.

Once in a while, just out of the blue my Progasm will get rammed into me. But it's just a one time thing each time it happens......
Sometimes when things are getting more intense, I feel something going on down there. I've been trying to decide if it's just a hard throbbing, or if the Progasm is actually moving in and out. Can the involuntaries feel like a throbbing?
Hello, JRS7.
Welcome to the Forum.
For the most part, Slimjim and Newbie have answered the question, above.
For me, It took about 3 months of nightly1-Hr practice before the involuntary contractions became a regular feature of Aneros sessions. Eventually, I found that at least three different muscle groups could go into rhythmic motion, either together or individually: anal sphincters, PC (Kegel), and rectal wall. The most common mode is what I think of as "auto-fuck." It does feel a lot like what I imagine being banged by a cheap hooker would be. Although I haven't used a mirror and a ruler, my fingertip tells me that the most the Aneros moves in and out is 1/8th of an inch each way. Some guys have reported more, some less.
Other common involuntary muscle movements result in a "swirling" motion, which feels like the Aneros is rotating with the anus as pivot point. The only thing I can compare that to is when my wife rotates her hips without thrusting while pegging me. The last involuntary mode I've noticed is a slow "pull-in" that tends to jam the P-tab up tight against my perineum. I think that's the mode you've experienced. There are more variations, like the "fluttering" of anal sphincters, which can also trigger Dry-Os. Perhaps other Forum members will chime in with what they've experienced with involuntary contractions.
Best Regards,
Dave
I'm on around my 20-22nd session and I was wondering if what I was doing wrong was trying to control both the PC and sphincter muscles in a repeated and simultaneous set of contractions? So from what I understand the PC muscle is the only muscle necessary to contract voluntarily, and if done correctly the body responds by quivering the sphincter muscle?

The throbbing feeling is good indication that you're on your way to super-O. It's not muscle movement. It's the deep fascia trembling and moving the energy/ki/electricity back and forth between two or more meridians at fast speed.
Any muscle group in your body can do the "involuntary contraction". The Chinese, Indian (from India), Japanese and other Asian country spent thousands of years to figure out how to train your body do it and how to control it. Remember, Aneros comes from Japan, which might give you some clue.
Too bad, the communism in China and Vietnam, American occupation of Japan, British invasion of India and other atrocities of West countries destroyed many knowledge. Some practices that appear in West countries like yoga, karate and Tai Chi are just a hollow form without the inner secrete of ki.
JRS7, I think what you are experiencing with regard to the Progasm is an involuntary contraction, but it's just with the size of the Progasm, it's a dramatic, hard contraction like you described. I rarely use my Progasm and notice the same thing. With my Eupho, it's a much more tantalizing wigging pleasurable feeling that comes with the same contraction.
Ok, thanks for the replies....Now I need to expound on my original question. Had a nice 3 hour session today using the Hypnaerossession CD for the first time, may have felt something closer to an involuntary.
Things were getting pretty nice, and I would pull the Progasm in as hard as I could and hold it as long as I could. As I was holding it, I would feel the feeling of muscles getting exausted, and the Progasm would start going in and out on it's own! But it was only while I was straining to hold the 'tired" contraction, once I let go of my contraction, the involuntary 'in and out' would stop also.
I'm guessing this is considered an Involuntary Contraction? The question is: As I move forward in this adventure, does that Involuntary continue by itself when you let go of the contraction?
Footnote:
This was a pretty cool session, but frustrating. At the height of the session, every minute or so I would have this awesome feeling wash over my body, and sometimes an arm or a leg would shake really hard like I read about here on the forum. But the shake would only last for about one second, then it was over. One of the ways I was able to make it happen, was to pull in a Contraction, once I felt the 'Pressure and Tickle' of the Prostate, I would hold the contraction and at the same time bear down with my backside like I was trying to poop. Sure enough, every once in a while the awesome feeling would wash over me and my leg or arm would shake for about a second. This happened quite a few times, it get's very frustrating as you want it to continue......Yeah, I know, PATIENCE!! Every heard the expression: I really need some Patience, but I just need it RIGHT NOW!!!

you noted throbbing, l do get this around my shaft area but lve never gone much further, whats the best direction from here once the throbbing starts?

There are two way to get the "involuntary contraction". The first way is what you described: the sudden relax of highly contracted muscle causing "involuntary contraction". Apperantly you can't achieve super-O this way. But it's a good tool to train your muscle to feel the "involuntary contraction" and break binding between your muscles. Some body builder shows off his chest muscles to make them "jump" by deploying this method.
The second way is to totally relax muscle with a LITTLE tension. The LITTLE part is VERY hard to master. A totally relax muscle without any tension would NOT have "involuntary contraction". A little too much tension would NOT cause "involuntary contraction". One major aspect of road to super-O is to train your muscle to maintain the right tension.
I would recommend reducing the time you spend with the aneros. Why? Well primarly for the reason that your rectum will absorb lubricants, which leads to dryness, which causes chafing. The condum method posted may be the answer to reducing this chafing.
Or you can stop at some point and reinitiate the lubrication cycle of the session, just to keep a nice cushion for the bowel.

That's a million dollar question. Now your root chakra is open. It's a good starting point for most inner Alchemy school. Then there are so many schools of different theories, practices and religions. The basic idea is to move the "rhrobbing feeling" into other part of your body in a safe and repeatable manner. How do you train yourself to do that is the study of many East meditation scholars and Kung Fu masters.
Read Aneros wiki for music, breathing and "male deer", and nipple play. If you want more systematic approach, try Yoga, Qi Gong, Taoism. Have an open mind, try them all!
Another important school of thought is that we human unconsciously know how to that that all ready. It's just a matter of remembering. If you go into a state of mind where your unconsciousness take over your body and have clear instruction from your main mind, it can manipulate your body do things "automatically". You just remembering the feeling and duplicate the feeling. It's kind like training software programmed into you all ready.
So "sleeping with aneros" does work for SOME people. It has side effects. Otherwise everyone would be sleeping with Aneros and know how to do "super-0".
All I can say is to use it more often has better chance of learning how to do super-O.
