Hello!
At first I'd like to say that my English isn't perfect and some words might be wrong, but I hope you'll still get the idea and understand what I've to say.
I just registered here, been using my Aneros toys and reading this forum for like 3 years. I have sgx, helix, eupho, progasm and the larger peridise set:)
In the last 6 months I feel like I have made a lot of progress towards the big o, but still can't seem to get there. I still enjoy those dry-O's and they feel very good.
I think my problem is in relaxing, I can easily relax my body (physically) but I don't know how to relax my mind, you know. I usually just lay still on my bed, relaxed, and let my body do the involuntary contractions. Sometimes I get some shaking in my legs, just for a few seconds, and even I try not to concentrate on that, it still seems to get my attention and the shaking stops. Sometimes I feel muscle tension in my face, or in my hands, sometimes in my toes too. It is funny and feels good, but it seems to be holding me back. I've tried concentrating on my breathing, or tried to imagine having sex etc. What do you think I should do, just keep going? (I'll sure do) And oh, I have the hypnaerosession cd which has helped me a lot.
And I've also been wondering that because my pectoral spine is kind of stuck (because of bodybuilding so the muscles around the spine are tight) has anything to do with unsuccessful rewiring/progress with Aneros?
How about diabetes? Do you guys know if it affects on the ability to achieve super-O's? I've the first type diabetes, for 20 years. Doctors have said everything is ok, but I've read that high blood sugar's might "destroy" nerves etc...
Thanks!

Welcome bodybuilder to the Forum and the aneros community!! 😀 😀
As part of your bodybuilding, do you do any yoga or other forms of deep muscular relaxation? Stretches and then visualizing deep relaxation? Massages? Having the body fully relaxed is a great benefit in this practice IMHO.
The re-wiring that we do here is part of the larger realm of neuroplasticity that is a great focus of scientific research and new applied therapies. You may be best to see if your GP or diabetic specialist can answer your questions and determine where you are in your particular medical case.
Could you also tell us how old you are? That may help members here to add comments about the relaxation questions.
all the best continuing practice and openings to advancement all

I just do normal stretching. Maybe I should try yoga or something, how long do you think it'll take to learn to relax completely?

Does anyone know what really happens in this "re-wiring"? Does it happen only in the brains or also in the spine and lower body?
It'd be great to know if there's any diabetics around here who have had success with aneros.:)

I'm almost 25. And I'm not going to use marijuana as The_Bishop said.

Normal stretching is terrific! While the practice of yoga isn't strictly necessary, the use of a more systematic approach like this has been highly recommended by some users. Being relaxed facilitates Aneros use, there is no question about it. I wouldn't view this in absolute terms however, i.e. "relaxed completely". Reaching a state of total and complete relaxation is a whole pursuit in and of itself. When we speak of relaxing around here it usually in the more general sense of attempting to mitigate the stresses and tensions (physical and mental) that impact our sense of physical well being. How long this kind of relaxation takes depends upon you as a person and what kind of stressors you have in your life.

The easy answer to your question is....no, at this point no one knows precisely where this "re-wiring" occurs. Naturally one would look to the CNS and perhaps the dorsal root ganglia. In addition I would suspect that the sensory nerves themselves may play a role. There was even a study published years ago that discussed a type of memory at the mitochondrial level which might have some relevance here. In the end I would think that it would come down to the interaction of all of these areas. After all, the human nervous system works with a high degree of organized interaction in performance of the most simple tasks. Since we're talking about a whole body orgasm it would seem logical that there would be neural involvement at all levels. No doubt this will be the subject of ongoing investigation as this non-ejaculatory phenomenon ( the Super O) gets more exposure.

Bodybuilder,
I do not recommend the use of substances like this with the Aneros. While they may make one feel more relaxed they can also dull the senses, which is not what I want. I've become much more in touch with my body as a result of my journey with the Aneros. I am in wonder of the fact that something as powerful as this can occur naturally in human beings.
That said, this is my preference, others have theirs. May their way be as pleasant.
