I am sorry you found 'Alana's voice annoying. I know many gay men have difficulty accepting suggestions from women even if it is just a recorded voice. I can certainly understand how you might feel turned off by portions of the HypnAerosession that relate to female anatomy. And I think you have every right to say so here. You have to consider however that there are heterosexual members in this forum that would have the opposite response to this. While some straight guys aren't turned on by earthy language, some most definitely are. If you want to avoid defensive response in the future, it might serve you better to reconsider characterizations of "yick" and "gross" when it comes to something like this. I think this was part of what Aneros Team was trying to articulate in their response. It's about all of us having consideration for one another. For the record I am not defending the comments that were a part of this thread earlier today. Furthermore, I stand strongly opposed to vulgar personal attacks as well. My suggestion is offered more or less a strategy for keeping an even keel around here.

I feel that there is a very big difference between describing a woman talking in a quasi sexual way about her sexual organs as gross and , as Voyager did, verbally attacking another member because of his sexuality. In my short time on this forum I have seen several comments from people saying they didn't want to think about men. That is their choice however I don't post a verbal attack just because I do like to think of men.

I do feel that this discussion is at risk of getting out of hand and that this thread should end here. If a discussion about attitudes to sexuality and the use of the Aneros would move this conversation away from the personal I would be quite happy to participate.

My intention was not to justify the comments that were deleted earlier today, but to try have some understanding so we might avoid this kind of exchange in the future. In my original comment I made it quite clear that I was opposed to vulgar verbal attacks (see the quotation in aneros_user's post above). I went back and edited them earlier to emphasize this point. Oddly when I made the edit neither of your follow up posts had not yet appeared. Not sure how it happened, but when I came in later they had timed in before my edit. Hmm? Btw., you should know that I have spoken out about posts that were harshly critical of the gay perspective as well. In any event, I too am eager to put this behind us and move on.

My immediate response was to say that I never said that you were. BUT I think saying that could actually make things worse. Discussion boards are not the easiest of places to convey meaning through tone and coupled with the fact that we're on opposite sides of the pond means that explanations can become even more obscure. I agree that leaving things would be the best option and to that end I will not post any more in this thread (and I don't mean that in any other way than trying to end what is becoming a rather awkward discussion).
