This is the first time I've bought a toy, and really felt like I HAD to share the experience.

So my back story is I first started having multiple orgasms back in July, and am pretty consistent with it. I'd tried lots using the Aneros MGX Classic, but got nowhere for years. Then the Helix and Progasm fixed that in a matter of days, and now I can use almost any toy in my chest to achieve pretty good orgasmic results.

So until yesterday, my favorite toys (with rating on scale of 1 to 10) were:

  • nJoy 2.0 Plug (10)
  • Aneros Progasm (8)
  • Aneros Eupho Syn (6)
  • nJoy Magic Wand (6-9, depending on mood)
  • nJoy Large Plug (6)
  • Aneros Peridise 18mm (6)
  • Aneros Maximus (4)
  • Aneros Helix (3)
  • Aneros MGX Classic (1)

Yesterday I purchased the Lelo Hugo vibrating prostate massager, and I have to rate the toys now like this:

  • Lelo Hugo (10)
  • nJoy 2.0 Plug (7)
  • Aneros Progasm (5)
  • Aneros Eupho Syn (2)
  • nJoy Magic Wand (2)
  • nJoy Large Plug (2)
  • Aneros Peridise (2)
  • Aneros Maximus (1)
  • Aneros Helix (1)
  • Aneros MGX Classic (0)

I couldn't believe it! Until now, I have avoided a vibrating toy because I assumed it would be distracting, and interfere with my body doing what it naturally wants to do. This thing was amazing! I narrowed it down between the Lelo Hugo or the L'amourose Rosa Rouge, mostly because they are both highly rated and have the strongest vibrations around. Anyways, the Lelo Hugo was at a store nearby, and the Rosa Rouge was going to have to be ordered online, so went with the Lelo Hugo.

It wasn't cheap, it's almost twice the price of the Aneros Vice. But seemed to be reviewed quite highly on sites like:
https://thebiggayreview.com/lelo-hugo-remote-controlled-prostate-massager/
http://mrracy.com/review-lelo-hugo-remote-prostate-anal/
http://incendiaire-reviews.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Prostate%20massager

Anyways, I charged it when i got home, and it only took about 30 minutes to reach a full charge (was already mostly charged i guess out of the box). Once I got ready, I put it in without turning it on.

It was amazing. I instantly had some involuntary contractions just from having it in. It is angled pretty aggressively, and the pressure on the prostate is more than other toys I have. I left it in there to get comfortable for 10 minutes. Usually, that's just a warm up for me and i work on relaxin - this time I had about 4 or 5 orgasms with it in while i was "warming up" just laying there with do nothing method. So it was already a success.

Then I turned it on.

WOW! It rumbles hard, even on a low setting. It didn't take long before I was in an almost the strongest orgasms of my life. I can't even count. Honestly, I think i was just orgasming for 20 minutes straight at the peak of it, maybe with varying intensities as I played around with the different settings. It just never seemed to stop. I was completely worn out after 30 minutes and could barely move.

The final thing is a reaction I had about 3 hours after my session was over (I haven't had this reaction since the first week i was re wired). I was just laying on the sofa watching some TV, and started to get aroused. Could feel my dick growing a bit. (BTW - i had 3 friends over). Always, I really discreetly had about 3 a-less orgasms while i was on the sofa. Then put an end to that so I could stay in control and not let anyone know what i was doing 🙂 I had aftershocks like that for a few days when i first had orgasms using Aneros Progasm and Helix back in July, but haven't had that reaction since then.

This thing is amazing. I was torn between the L'amourose Rosa Rouge and the Lelo Hugo. Now I've ordered the L'amourose Rosa Rouge because the reviews are generally saying it is a little bit better. I can't even imagine. So I've dropped like $600 now in 2 days, and that is so not my style. I usually hum and ahh over dropping $100 on a new toy. But I'm sold on this style of toy.

BTW - I still think I'll be using the non vibrating toys for a long time to come. They are really relaxing, and I think I'm learning that there is a huge variety of sensations available out there, and sometimes you're in a different mood for one or the other.

Haha - well, good point. But if it isn't going to stop you from putting food on the table, go for it! I never imagined i would spend that much on a prostate massager toy, the and I have been putting it off for months. The $100 limit was my psychological barrier.I'm so glad I caved and got it. It was basically worth the purchase price alone in that one session. I know it wasn't one continuous orgasm, but at the peak of it, i pretty much had a 15-20 minute orgasm (which was really just orgasm after orgasm with no time in between).

Lelo makes good toys. Their material choices are top notch for what it is being used for. I will have some extra money after the holidays so I'm undecided between the njoy 2.0 (large is my current favorite) or a lelo vibrating toy. I bought a Hitachi wand for my wife and me and I'm also really enjoying vibrations during some uses.

That's a really tough choice (my 1st and 2nd favorites)! I sorta have a feeling after a few times of using the Lelo Hugo, I'm going to go back to the nJoy 2.0 plug as my more regular staple. That was a really intense session yesterday with the hugo, and I sorta appreciate the relaxed/meditation state you can get into with a toy like the nJoy 2.0 where your body is calling the shots. The Hugo felt like it was in charge 🙂

They are both mandatory in my opinion, and very different sensations.

reminder: everybody is different. it is great that @shockedwaves had an excellent experience with this product. you might too, or... you might not. a couple of good reviews does not guarantee that this is a silver bullet. time will tell. buy cautiously.

That's true. But at least the power is like no other toy. It's sorta like buying a 300 watt blender vs a 1500 watt blender. This vibrates so strong compared to other vibrating toys, u feel the rumble in half your body. But everyone's body is different and the shake of the toy matters too.

It hits the prostate with more pressure and the premium a lot more tightly too. Almost too much.... Almost. It's intense though.

@shockedwaves,

My experience to date with vibrators is that I quickly tire of strong high-speed vibrations (like the Hitachi Magic Wand), and go numb fast. They never do much for me at all. So far, I've never had a notable experience using a vibrator.

However, I've never tried a vibrator that has built-in variation to it.

In your experience, do the changing vibration patterns of this unit prevent numbness?

Also, I thought I read in one of the reviews that the low setting was subtle, but you seem to be saying that even the low setting is strong. Can you clarify?

Thanks
Darwin

So with other vibrators, they tend to be more of a surface vibration and sort of a higher frequency.

The difference with this one is that it is a powerful vibration. Even at low settings, it is lower frequency and quite strong. Like a rumble u can feel in half your body.

I used it for an hour and certainly wasn't numb. I was just worn out. All my orgasm muscles were fatigued from contracting so hard for so long. It has various speed settings and patterns. I didn't really find one that I liked a lot more than another one. Just lots of different sensations that add to the variety. Although the low rumbling vibrations are nice and relaxing.

@shockedwaves HOLY MOLY that is pricey. But it looks enticing. Lelo is famous for quality toys. I have been burned by crappy toys so many times though that I am hesitant to even consider it.

If u order from love honey online, u can return for any reason within a year of purchase I believe.

But I don't see anyone returning this. The second time I used it, I tried to turn it on and see how long I could go without having an orgasm. Sorta like a fun experiment. I lasted about 30 seconds before I lost. Haha

What type of orgasms were you having? Were they dry or wet? What sensations were you getting? I just purchased an Aneros Vice and have used it twice. The sensations have been ok, but nothing immediate like what you are saying with the Hugo. I was somewhat expecting the same thing you are describing from the Vice.

Hey, they were dry orgasms. I don't usually have wet orgasms (ejactulate) during my session, unless i decide to stroke off at the end.

I've held the aneros vice at the store, and it was a pretty weak vibration. It's sort of like your cell phone buzzing. I can see how some people with those types of vibrators get numb after a certain amount of time. It a pretty high frequency buzzing.

The lela hugo is quite a bit different vibration - it's like a jack hammer or piston firing inside there. A lot of stores have demo units, so try to see if you can hold each - you'll see the difference.

Hello, all.

As many of you know, I'm a big Aneros fan; my favorites being Eupho Classic and Vice with vibe. I alternate between them, night to night. Super-Os are routine for me.

That said, I have to admit the L'Amourose Rosa is competitive with Vice. They yield the same effects if you like vibrations. The only issue I have with the French toy is, it's a tad on the large side. Vice is already plenty big enough compared to Eupho. Then, there's the cost factor. My Rosa cost $125 on Amazon. You can find Aneros Vice as low as $88 plus shipping.

Cheers,

Dave

Mine arrived today. I haven't had much success with the aneros toys for years now and thought I might give a completely different toy a shot as I haven't updated anything for long time now. My first try hasn't been too different from my aneros sessions (some mild to medium p-waves, nothing special beyond this) but I'll give it some more tries.
To me the vibration patterns felt strong, stronger than usual, but not as strong as they are claimed to be in all the reviews. And yes, running the highest settings for too long made me a little numb too.
I'll probably stick with the lower ones in the future and see where it gets me.

Two things I found kinda annoying though. Maybe someone has an idea about this:
a) My manuals say, I can turn-off the remote device by holding - for three secs but it seems like mine also turns off when I'm on the lowest vibration setting and just tap - once again. So everytime I try to find the lowest setting, I manage to turn off the device completely and have to cycle through all modes once again to find the setting I was on before.

b) the "p-tap" doesn't stay in place for me. Especially if I get hard in between and get a firm ridge on my perineum, it keeps slipping off to the sides.

I still believe for myself, I never could have learned how to have a successful session without the Aneros first. It is very subtle, and helped me focus on the feelings, learning how to relax and just enjoy, and know what feelings are there to expect and relax into. The vibrators would have been too distracting for my learning and self awareness.

As for the two points of the Lelo Hugo
a) same problem for me. The - button decreases the intensity, the last decrease is actually turning it off. Unfortunately it doesn't remember the last setting you were on, so you have to turn it back on and go through the modes to get to where you were.

b) had the same problem my first use. for me, if i wipe with damp cloth my groin area there to make sure there is no lube (and no lube on the toy's P-tab), then it stays put.

I also got to try out my new L'Amourose Rosa Rouge.... If I had to do it over, I probably wouldn't have ordered it. My main observations are:
- it is more comfortable to wear than the Lelo Hugo, even though it is a bit bigger - the P Tab barely touches me (on the hugo it really presses) and main insertable part has less pressure on my prostate due to a more flexible shaft. If you can ride the progasm comfortably, then this shouldn't cause any discomfort at all either

- the vibrations don't seem to be quite as strong as the lelo hugo. very close though, and lower settings do feel stronger and more rumbly.
- the tip warms up, which is a nice subtle sensation
- i miss the remote that the Hugo has
- the 2nd motor in the base (sort of like the p tab motor on the hugo) doesn't do much for me as it barely to touches my perineum. and it's a bit too loud (the internal one seems quieter... maybe cause its internal in me!). I used the mode where it was completely turned off and just using the motor in the tip.

All in all, a very good toy, but too similar to the Lelo Hugo. I just got carried away when I was so impressed with the Lelo Hugo and thought, if this is on par, I MUST HAVE.

I'd still rate it in the top 3 or 4 of the 11 toys I now have. But Lelo Hugo is still #1. If I was going to ride right now (and not get ready for work), then I'd probably reach for the Rosa Rouge.... it did feel pretty nice in there, and was super comfortable. The Lelo Hugo was a bit more intense, and sometimes that isn't exactly what you want. So this adds some nice variety I guess.

Maybe I need to get the Vice now to complete the collection! hehe

shockedwaves;

Yes, you should get the Aneros Vice, at least for comparison. As a bonus, I've found that you can use the Vice vibe with the Eupho or Helix Classic modules by placing it at an angle under the P-tab arm. The hard plastic of the classic models carries the vibes very well.

Cheers,

Dave

About prostate vibrators...

There are plenty of product reviews on the Web about these devices. But, in virtually every case, the reviewer got a free sample to play with. Even with disclosure of that fact, the tendency is for the reviewer to find something nice to say and to mute the critique a bit. Aside from my wife, nobody has ever given me a sex toy. So, the following comments are biased only by my body's favorable response to many of the Aneros products. Note that every single one of the products I'm writing about will give me a Super-O. Obviously, I enjoy vibes.

FunFactory Duke
This oddly shaped solid silicone device has a proprietary capsule containing the rechargeable battery and motor. The capsule slides into the base of the unit. The control button is on the capsule. The solid, rumbling vibrations and a few patterns range from very quiet, as in won't disturb your bed partner, to OMG loud and strong. A battery charge is good for about an hour at medium strength. The downside of Duke is also it's upside, for some guys. The shape sends vibrations in 3 directions: prostate, perineum and core. By core, I mean the solar plexus center of your torso and right on up from there. And that can feel very weird. So weird that I've retired Duke to the storage locker. Then, there's the problem of inserting the device. Challenging, even if you're a pro at Progasm.

Lelo Billy
This modestly-sized toy is rigid plastic with a satin finish silicone cover over the business end, which inserts about 4 inches. It has a built-in rechargeable battery and single motor near the tip. It has about the same feel inside my body as Helix Syn. The vibes run from ultra-small and quiet to big and loud enough to be heard through a door. The handle is a plus and a minus. On the plus side, it has the controls and enough room to hold on and move it around. The negative is the distance the handle sticks out, about 2 inches, which is enough to hit the bed when lying on your back. The charging port is sealed by a little plug, which is not submersible. A charge lasts about 2 hours on medium vibe.

L'Arque
Medium sized in diameter, like Billy, but longer. Insertable length is about 5 inches. Hard plastic construction with a satin silicone cover over the business end. The device has both a "tail" and a perineum "probe," for lack of a better word. The controls are on the end of the probe, which means reaching under your balls to change settings. The tail acts like a handle for manipulating the device. The charger slips over the probe end, where metal contacts take the juice. A charge is good for about 3 hours of use. Very water resistant and supposedly submersible. The vibrations are buzzy, loud, and not very strong. L'Arque is very comfortable, but is the least effective of the bunch.

Lelo Hugo
Modestly sized like Billy, except no handle, but with a perineum arm. Remote controlled! Solid hard plastic with a satin silicone cover. Has a silicone plug on the charging port, so it's not submersible. Hugo has 2 motors; one in the tip and one in the arm. The vibrations range from ultra quiet and soft to OMG intense and loud. A charge is good for about 2 hours of medium power. In one mode, the vibration intensity and pattern can be controlled by motions of the remote, like waving it around. That novelty wore off in 5 minutes. The main problem I have with Hugo is the excessive pressure it puts directly on the prostate. That clamping force is not adjustable. This would be a good product for a guy who wants serious prostate pressure.

L'Amourose Rosa Rouge
The body of this large device is hard plastic covered by glossy silicone on the business end. The base, which contains the rechargeable battery and a motor is exposed hard plastic that is shaped to match the perineum. The controls are on the side of the base, but perfectly usable The insertable length is close to 6 inches. The diameter of the "head" is about the same as Progasm, though longer, and also has a motor and a heater (not a big feature). The base is flexibly connected to the shaft, so there's enough give in the construction for auto-fucking action. Vibes range from very thumpy but quiet to OMG-get-this-thing-out-of-me strong and loud. The entire device is sealed, waterproof and supposedly submersible. Gold-plated contacts on the base get juice from the charger/stand. A charge is good for about 2 hours on medium power. If Rosa was an inch shorter, it would be really great for me. Good choice for guys who want size and power in their vibe.

Aneros Vice
Solid silicone construction with a proprietary capsule containing the replaceable battery (4-hour life on medium vibe) and motor. Like Duke, Vice can be used without its vibe capsule, in which case it is similar in "fullness" to Progasm, but much softer. With the capsule installed, Vice is more rigid, but still resilient to the touch. The capsule is not submersible. The fore and aft arms at the base keep Vice positioned. The shape of Vice promotes auto-fucking action as long as plenty of lube is used to overcome the friction of the satin finish. The overall size of Vice is ideal for me, only slightly bigger than Progasm at the "neck." Not too big and not too small; very, very comfortable. The vibrations range from small to medium. Even the lowest setting is audible to your bed partner. The amplitude of the vibrations in the highest setting suits me perfectly, instigating sympathetic involuntary contractions. I highly recommend Aneros Vice.

I only have the rosa rouge and the lelo Hugo when it comes to vibes. Tens review makes me want to get a vice now, but was thinking it was the inferior product as the vibes are kinda not as strong

I agree completely about the lelo Hugo having a lot of pressure on the prostate. Although for me, that's a plus and benefit. It sends me into a pretty significant orgasm pretty quickly because of that, even before I turn the vibes on.

I got a perrcussive massager on sale from Brookstone a little while back, and I have to say, it is an impressive device. I've always had an Hitachi around, and using it in conjunction with an Aneros or a dildo on my penis has always let to amazing SuperT's. Using the Hitachi on the aneros or dildo just leads to numbness I have found as others have already stated here. This perrcussive massager however is a different animal. It's quite versatile in that I can use it to great effect on my penis, just below my belly button, on my perineum or on the Aneros. That last use has been the most surprising, as I have been able to bring myself to orgasm very quickly that way. The sensation on the prostate is intense but quite pleasurable. I bring this up because I got this thing on sale for $30 or so, and it's waaaaaay more powerful than a Hitachi, so orders of magnitude more powerful than a Hugo or any other vibrating prostate massager being marketed. It's also quite a bit more versatile in that you can use it to transform your favorite non vibrating toy into an orgasm hammer, or you can use it in conjunction with your favorite toy on other parts of your body, all for a lot less money than one of these vibrating devices. My own experience with vibrating prostate toys is that they have all basically come up short, and I always end up just using them without the vibration part.

Hello, all.

Here's an update on my prostate vibrator reviews, above in this thread.

The Lelo Hugo's main motor failed after about 8 uses. With the seller's permission, I have shipped it back for a replacement or refund. Update: instead of replacing the Hugo, they refunded the cost.

The L'Amourose Rosa Rouge's dual motors both became intermittent after about 3 months of twice a week use, as did the heater. I've filed a warranty claim but have not heard back, yet. Update: The seller is being difficult regarding a refund or replacement. Amazon customer care staff are now involved. Update 2: new Rosa arrived to replace defective one. Yay.

Note that the Aneros Vice vibe still works fine.

Cheers,

Dave

I have a Hugo as well as as Lelo Loki and Loki Wave. These are all different and wonderful toys (the Loki toys handle allows for thrusting as well). I came to Aneros after these, N-joy and Tantus toys, and still enjoy them all. If anything,Aneros use has made everything better!
