So I'm about 9 months into my journey I guess... I wanted to create this post to share what is working for me. I spent a lot of time reading and trying to pull advice out of the forums only to find that making progress in my sessions was much easier than most of the guidance seemed to indicate. I was actually slowing my progress down by trying everyone else's advice. (Yes I know its ironic to then share my guidance, but I'm going to try to make it simpler than what I've seen elsewhere.)
Bio: First, just for the bio detail, I'm a 42 year old straight guy with no prior anal experience.
Where I've reached thus far: Regular prostate orgasms and prolonged euphoria from between 5-10 mins in duration. No Super O as of yet.
Session prep: I drain my bladder immediately before.
Lube: Water based lube on the device (as much as possible) and lubrication of the sphincter with a drop on my finger prior to insertion.
Device: Helix Syn Trident
Position: On the back with knees up, hands crossed over stomach (important - more detail later).
The technique: "Do nothing" - mental amplification of pleasure, total relaxation.
Once in position, do a couple contractions of your pc muscle to get the device moving and spread the lube. Then just sit there, close your eyes, and pay attention to the feelings in your prostate, genital area. You'll eventually feel something pleasurable. A tickle, a twitch, a vibration, a pressure. Just focus on that feeling. Do not try to squeeze muscles, do not force it along, or anything. Just focus on it and enjoy the feeling, in other words just think about the pleasure. After doing this for awhile, it will start to get stronger all on its own. Eventually the feeling will peak then fade away. When it does, do a very minor contraction or two, or just wait for the next tickle. Repeat. With each cycle it will rise in intensity. This is the pathway to your orgasm.
The problem beginners will have is that as the intensity increases, your heart rate will increase, your abdominal muscles will tense up, you'll feel a peak of pressure and sexual energy, but an inability to release it. You'll get frustrated, and many people don't get past this point. The key is relaxation. Remember your hands crossed over your stomach... The reason for this is to feel yourself belly breathing (pulling air into your stomach, identified by your stomach rising instead of just your chest). In order to hit orgasm, you need your muscles in this area to be relaxed. If you are tensed up like you're going to do situps or crunches, its not going to happen. If you feel your muscles getting tense, consciously relax them so that your hands can push down on your stomach and feel it compress. Most of the time, I breath very shallow, but when I need to take a larger breath, I ensure it is a belly breath and raises my hands a bit.
If you are relaxing, you will feel incredible intensity. You will feel a haze around your head, and an incredible feeling of pleasure. Just sit there and enjoy the pleasure, if you try to push it along, you will lose it. Constantly make sure all your abdominal, rectal, and PC muscles are as loose as possible at all times. If you feel the urge to contract, its fine to give in for a moment, but try to just keep everything relaxed always. Eventually the pleasure wave will grow till you start to feel the device disappear. You will lose awareness of its presence, and you'll feel a little bit of a heat or burn building and spreading. You might feel a flutter of muscles and an urge to contract. Just stay loose, and focus on the feeling. When you push over into orgasm, here is what you might feel... A surge of pleasure rushing over you. An urge to contract in the prostate area. If you give in, it might trigger more contractions like a traditional penile orgasm, but perhaps a bit more mild. A surge of additional pleasure. Some continued light pulsating contractions in your prostate area. Prolonged euphoria for a minute or so.
Once the orgasm is done, rest, manually contract around the device a couple times, and since you are so aroused, you should start to see an acceleration of additional orgasm opportunities and or prolonged euphoria. If you can stay relaxed enough (I'm struggling after this point), you'll be on your way to that super-o.
So far the best experience I have had was after several of these prostate orgasms, I got to a peak of pleasure that was total body euphoria that lasted for at least 5-10 mins. My body was trying to go even further, but I couldn't relax into it. After it was over, I was so satisfied, I did not even need to ejaculate (which is how I typically end a session).
Hope this helps, and this is what works for me, it may or may not work for you 🙂
Congratulations on your Super-O’s even though you don’t believe your having them ;). Peaks of pleasure, multiple orgasms, waves of prolonged euphoria, just like my super-o’s :D. Hopefully they’ll grow In intensity as you get used to them and one day, you’ll believe. :).
Wow thanks for that excellent description of your experience. For myself, returning back to exploring prostate massage after boxing a device away for years I realized I was just trying to hard. I picked it back up two weeks ago and the "do nothing" method was just the thing! What you describe is spot on!

That's excellent advice and describes my beginner path and initial successes exactly. That "going further" feeling is your penile orgasm learnings in your head trying to steer you to a final destination. There is no such thing, it's more of "tuning in" or letting yourself drop backwards into a warm pool. After some sessions, if you breathe and relax, that state should be familiar and friendly, like you're taking a stroll in the park. Enjoy that state and breathe, be incredibly subtle in your contractions if any, and before you know it, you'll be holding on to dear life 😉
Thanks for posting this. This post isn’t just relevant for newbies, but also those who have been at this a while and have made progress. Reading it gave me a little bit of a reminder to let go and get out of my head. It’s so easy to get cocky when you’re making progress and forget the basics.
Thank you Anerospore. I'm completely new at this. I'm a 52 year old straight married guy just looking to explore myself. I just started, and have only tried three times. Relaxation & position is the hardest thing for me. Nothing has really happened yet. I do get a full feeling and a slight amount of dribble or precum. Maybe I'm trying too hard. I will try your method. Thank you for sharing your beginner's experiences. I hope this will help me and open doors for me sexually that I thought didn't exist. Much appreciated. John.
@Anerospore Thanks, man, that's a very inspiring and arousing read! I have been doing this off and on for a couple years now, most sessions usually have a good amount of intense dry orgasms that are deep and very satisfying. In regards to your relaxation philosophy, would you say it is ok to be caressing the nipples the whole time, if keeping your core, groin and all surrounding areas incredibly relaxed? I have no trouble with relaxation but love nipple stimulation during the session as it ramps up my orgasms. Thoughts?
