modifications questions before hand

I have the trident models of the helix and mgx. I have read where others have polished them to be super smooth and shiny like the progasm and have been considering doing this and was wondering how you like the change. Do you find it to slide better or was the mat finish better for holding lubrication? Are you regretful you made the change or wish you did it sooner?

I have also read where others have removed the handle on the classic models and was found to increase the movement considerably / allowed use when sitting, has any one done that w/ removing the k-tab on the trident or would that defeat the whole "mama" feature. I am finding that since I have no 'me time' I can only play at night when going to bed and lack of sleep is starting to catch up to me. I would like to be able to play right after work when I find I'm the most aroused after thinking about having a session all day. and also to possibly allow these to move more when on my back since the k-tab hits the mattress as I can't lift my legs when in bed as she might start to ask questions.

I have also just purchased the peridise kit and in saying that maybe the above modifications are a moot point. Thoughts? I have been reading about those in the posts and have surmised that the feelings gained are different but the same, plus the added benefit of getting muscle tone and control I know I lack even after doing kegels for quite some time now.

Thanks

No talkers? I thought for sure someone would have said something. Oh well. I think I will just polish for the time being and leave the k-tab alone.

I did try to change the title to be more descriptive after being submitted but only the body can be modified.

I polished my Trident models and I think it made a difference.

I have the trident max and eupho,I reluctantly removed the k tab from the max as I don't have a lot of "padding" back there and it has increased the mobility a lot.The tabs on the eupho are so much more flexible so the K doesn't seem to be affected as much.I would not have done this If I enjoyed riding on my side or face down but these positions don't work or me anyway. You could try a pillow under you if that is comfortable which it isn't for me.

After a couple of really good sessions and tries to get used to my Helix T, I bent the P tab down and turned the K tab nearly into the same thing that the classic models have. Everyone is different but I cannot for the life me understand how either of these upturned on the Trident models is supposed to be pleasurable. Once fully inserted, I found the P tab highly irritating and after a while very painful. That concentrated pressure in a tiny thin spot felt like a dull knife pressed against my body and the K tab was just irritating. If the P tab was very blunt, say like a ball or marble on the end it might be ok. Used a heat gun for both these operations it worked quite well.

Im very interested in how you guys above polished yours though, and I wondered immediately upon opening my package why these weren’t slick already. There has to be a good reason they used this type of material, so I’m curious about that too.

@Paul Springer from what I can gather from reading old posts the guys that have polished theirs have used progressively finer sand paper and / or polishing compound like used for metal or auto paint either by hand or a buffing wheel. I also think I had read somewhere the current texture used was to hold the lube on the surface to assist in the gliding movement but on the flip side if the surface was glass smooth I would think less lube would be required since it would want to naturally slide from lack of friction. I don't really have an issue w/ the tabs poking me it is more the k-tab hitting the bed when laying with my legs down. I know the k-tab is supposed to hit a pressure point under the spine but haven't felt anything from that yet. May have to do some probing, perhaps it is in the wrong spot for me like the p-tab is in the wrong spot for others.

@evergreen Thanks for the idea, I have tried a pillow but found it to be to high, I have to find something thinner as I was never fond of lumbar supports

@Harper Thanks for the reply. You say you think it made a difference. I take it that you feel it wasn't a night/day change but a more subtle difference. Could you possibly elaborate.

@somebody I have 3 Trident models, Eupho, MGX and Maximus. I polished them all, firstly with very fine rubbing down paper used wet. Then finally with car paintwork restorer. The Eupho had always performed well but I did notice a slight difference, I never really got on with the Maximus for some reason and that didn’t change much after polishing. The MGX however was transformed and together with the springy tab the ridges are more apparent when I use it. I don’t think I would remove any of the tabs from mine, maybe the Maximus as it doesn’t matter much any way. Maybe just have a go at polishing them before you take any more drastic action, then there’s no harm done.
Good luck.

Thanks for the update @Harper . I am going to polish to a glass finish but leave the tabs alone for the time.

For the last whole bunch of years I was manager of the controls department of a company that made products with VERY stringent surface smoothness quality specifications. The short version is that even under the best conditions in a modern, well equipped laboratory surface smoothness is a difficult measurement. If your well lubricated asshole can detect the difference in smoothness between any of the non-Syn models, I have an exciting new career opportunity for you.

Well @10dollarbet I can say with out a doubt I can feel the difference. I got a progasm jr that has the smooth as glass finish and it was so easy to join with and just kept wanting to come out forcing me to work with it instead of it just staying there. On top of that I can drastically reduce the amount of lube required, made the entire session much more pleasurable.

I do appreciate the job offer but depending on the size of the parts I don't think I would be able to accommodate them. :o. I know what you mean though, I used to run machines that honed the inner/outer races for aerospace bearings and they had to match some pretty specific 'roughness' tolerances.
