In a health related website there was a page where users can ask the doctors about various topics: in the andrology section one asked about prostate massage and its erotic purpose, that's what the doctor answered (translated from italian).
"prostate stimulation done by inserting a finger into the rectum negatively affects erection and reach of pleasure, unless the man gets pleasure from being penetrated, and this assumes an homosexual context. In heterosexual intercourse the practice may help block a premature ejaculation. What can instead be pleasurable and may help increase the pleasure is the perineal massage."
Maybe my translation is not perfect, but i think you all understand. The above text has many points that could be discussed, but the most remarkable is the one about anal stimulation and homosexuality... That really left me astonished.
What do you think?
@Desmon - I think it is ignorance. There are plenty of heterosexual men here like me that enjoy anal and prostate stimulation. This act in itself does not make one homosexual. What makes a man homosexual or bisexual is being aroused by, and desiring, and enjoying sex with another man.
WHAT IS THE LINK TO THIS ARTICLE?! I need to give them a piece of MY MIND!
Lava this is the link: http://www.medicitalia.it/consulti/archivio/198001-massaggio_prostatico.html
I hope you understand and speak italian... 🙂
BTW I posted this discussion in this section by mistake, moderators please move it to general discussion.
Thanks.
Doctors are people too! They are just me and you that have spent a long long time studying the humane body and how to fix it.This does not mean that they actually understand it or know anything that is useful.
Each doctor studies a different aspect of the humane body, and so may not know what they are talking about on certain subjects.
If you think about it they spend so much time studying they dont spend time with people and thefore dont know how to interact with people as well as some others of us might.
This comes out in their writings.
I would not worry about anything they say or write unless they are a well known expert on the subject!
I am with braveneworld on this one - the idea that anal pleasure means you are homosexual, is laughable, and shows that despite his medical knowledge, this doctor has little knowledge of human behaviour, and by implication probably lacks self knowledge/awareness himself. This is a classic case of a specialist, wandering inadvertently off their main area of study, and coming to all the wrong conclusions as a result.
