I see that Aneros has FINALLY made a Maximus Syn. I've been waiting (and waiting and waiting) for one of those ever since the original Syn models released. Now they finally make one...but it's blue. Does anybody know if they are going to release a black Maximus Syn?

I'm sure they will.  The blue is normally limited event every year. Then it goes back to regular colors.

Still waiting... I'd like to buy a black Maximus Syn for myself for Christmas.

I got an email today about the blue Maximus Syn, again. I'm almost tempted to buy it at this point but it's not even in the store anymore.

BTW, the store is now very broken for me on my PC. Everything looks as if I have fully zoomed in.

Christmas and New Years have come and gone, and there are no Maximus Syn models available. ...Are they going to release a black Maximus Syn, or has it been cancelled because the blue ones didn't sell well enough?

My guess is it sold out. It was a limited run and made blue I believe for Prostate Awareness Month. Luckily I got a Maximus Trident Syn and its fucking unbelievable and my go-to model now forever! I think they'll release it as a permanent addition to their arsenal, it works so good and if it did sell out, it might be a sign that future release in black is a way to go. Write the Aneros team and see if they have plans!

After I wrote this yesterday I decided to contact Aneros support and ask them directly. They are NOT planning to release a black Maximus Syn. I did end up finding the blue one in the store. Currently, the only way to find it is to click "Aneros Goes Blue" in the drop-down menu.

Aneros members should contact Support and let them know that we want a black Maximus Syn. Here is their email address. support@aneros.com

@wandering_smoke the color has absolutely nothing to do with its performance so what's the point?  Are you really that unhappy because the Maximus Syn is blue instead of black???

Every Aneros in my collection is either white or black. I've been collecting them since before the Trident, and before the original Syn models released. So now I have two of each type. An original and a Trident, in hard plastic and Syn. That's why I want a black one. That and, yes, that color blue is too loud for my taste. But since it's the only one they plan on releasing I'll buy it because I really want a Maximus Syn. I've been wanting one for years now.

@wandering_smoke I think you'll be kicking yourself for waiting too long if they sell out.  If I remember the original announcement they said this would be a limited release and only in blue...

I think it's a bit unusual to introduce scarcity in this practice. If some models are really one-time limited releases and they perform really well, then that's how you end up with investors and speculators in the hobby, which in my opinion is never a great thing.

Limited edition colors is okay, limited edition geometry... nah.

@zentai Perhaps you're right that it's unusual, but that's what Aneros has already said.  And the thing is, people have been asking for a silicone version of the Maximus for years!  For people to scorn it now because of it not being the color you want...that's a bit ridiculous and and low sales are not likely to encourage Aneros to ever revisit the idea of a black model in the future...

I didn't know that it was ONLY going to be a limited edition. That's why I asked if they were going to release a black one. Like you said, people have been asking for a Maximus Syn for years. Myself included. So I just assumed that eventually they would release one in the standard Syn color, black. If they were then I'd just wait. But like I said before, now that I know they aren't going to release one in black, I'll just buy the blue one. I just didn't want to end up with two, and waste my money.

BTW, their sales ARE going to be low because the blue Maximus Syn wasn't listed with the other Aneros models, if you looked at all of them. It wasn't listed with the Syn models, and it wasn't listed under Maximus. The only way you could find it was to click "Aneros Goes Blue." I alerted them to the problem when I contacted them a few days ago so they should sell more now. The store was also broken for me on PC for a long time. You could only see the best sellers. If I wanted to see any other models I had to manually delete part of the URL.

Some people getting started in the hobby in the near future might not achieve Super-Os because they were not around in 2023-2024 to buy a limited edition model. That's what I find weird, honestly.

I have the blue one and am very pleased with the performance! All my other models are black but the color doesn’t matter to me - it’s what they can do for stimulation!

@zentai I suppose it is slightly strange, but there's the presupposition that some men will only orgasm with the Maximus syn and that's a completely hypothetical situation.  What if a guy comes along who would only be able to orgasm with the SGX, or the Helix Syn (non-trident)?  Just as equally "shit out of luck" as someone who never had the opportunity to buy the Maximus Syn Trident, wouldn't you say?  So Aneros should absolutely NEVER discontinue a product?

@wandering_smoke I want to stress that you need to make up your own mind on this, but I hope I've given you all the pertinent information that I possess.  In the end it's your money.

In a perfect world, they would only phase out a product if they have an equivalent one. We should definitely have a SGX Trident.

Now in a real world scenario it makes little sense to have 30 different products with Classics and Classics Syn and Tridents etc. as it would be a nightmare with overstock and such. But having every model in both Syn and non-Syn version just seems logical.

I have already said it twice in this thread. Now that I know they aren't going to release a black one I'll just buy the blue one. You're making this a much bigger deal than I did. Yes, I would rather have a black one. But since they aren't going to make one I'll just buy the blue one. If they ever do release a black one I'll buy it. Then the blue one will go into the box of unused toys. Simple. Nothing to get your panties twisted over.
