I just got a helix and have used it once. No fireworks yet. Was just wondering how you guys lube up. I spread some on my ass and drenched the device with as much as possible and it seemed to slip in just fine. Is it better to inject some into the rectum using a syringe? Does that really help? Any other ideas? BTW, I was using Astroglide.

I think if you look thru the wikki , which u can click on just below the Aneros at the top of the page you will find the answer or answers, as everyone does it a little different.

Proper lubing is essentual to the Aneros working properly so I recommend injecting some sort of non-Glycerin based lub such as Wet Platinum which I prefer. I found a nice syringe with a flexable and narrow end piece that works wonderful to inject the lube.

hey Jay, what's the benefit for the non-glycerin based lube for injection? Personally I've been using glycerin based for awhile - it does break down really quickly though.

Hello gm501,

In my opinion, if you are using a liquid lube, then injecting/pre-lubing the anus and rectum is important as these types of lubes tend to either be absorbed, or dry up. And then coat the Aneros in some of it before insertion.

I much prefer to use unrefined 100% shea butter myself. Although I'm currently using the refined type until it is finished. All I need is three approximately dime sized bits of it. Two get pushed up my anus into my rectum, and the third get coated on my Aneros. Insertion is way easier and less uncomfortable than when I was using Astroglide.

Tbaz,

I suspect why he says that is because for some people, pre-lubing/injecting glycerin based lubes into their rectum causes an "urge to purge". Somewhat like the feeling of needing to poop after you had squirted a fleets enema up inside you, although less extreme. This was my experience with Astroglide. Most of the time I could hold it until insertion and it would eventually go away. But it was uncomfortable to do so. A few times I had to run right to the toilet after pre-lubing with it. Not fun.

Love is Peace
