is this going to work for me?

I got my helix about 3 weeks ago and i've used it a few times already. I'm concerned however because i am impatient. I'll try for an hour or so in various positions relaxed and keeping in mind all the advice that i've read on these forums. But after that time i get impatient and start manipulated the device with my hands.

I am gay and all my experiences with anal play thus far have been kinda hard and fast. I'll get to a high level of pleasure by simultaing this with the helix (after the first hour or two of following the guideline on proper use) but i never get to any kind of orgasm that way. I'm wondering if doing that is counterproductive to advancing to an anal orgasm or not. There is no penile stimulation during any of this by the way.
