Since using the aneros, I have experienced a flare-up of hemorrhoids.
Does anyone know of a way to eliminate this problem? It certainly puts a damper on my enthusiasm to use this product.
A couple of questions first; what type of lubrication are you currently using and how much are you applying (and where)? Is your rectum fairly empty prior to and throughout your sessions. Provide some details of a typical session. What's the duration of your session, what kinds of anal contractions are you using (low, moderate etc.), and how long do you hold them for? Do you ever find yourself working the Aneros in and out of your anus, like a dildo? When did you first start using your Aneros? Is the Aneros the only variable here, i.e., have you had a change of diet or bowel habits prior to the introduction of the Aneros?
Well, more than a couple, I know, but please try to be specific, all of these questions relate to specific issues.

ID glide was the first lubricant I used, didn'tcare for it as it didn't last long. Since then I have been using KY jelly. I have been using the aneros for 10 days almost daily for 2-4 hrs using approximately 15cc inserted into the rectum and also applied on the rectum, and coating the aneros. The rectum is empty,my diet hasn't changed, and bowel habits have not changed. All contractions are spontaneous, not manipulated manually.
Contractions vary from low to strenuous. I can hold them from 2-10 seconds.
The aneros seems to be the only variable here.
Thanks Mayfield,
Darrell
Thanks for all of the details. First, I would suggest discontinuing the use of the Aneros altogether until your condition abates. Try to start from a clean slate if it all possible. Thereafter, I would cut down the frequency and duration of your sessions to 2 sessions (with several days between each) lasting no more than 60 to 90 minutes. Furthermore, I would try to avoid the strenuous contractions as well....they rarely produce the results that your looking for anyway. The Super O will more likely be found with subtle to moderate contractions. I certainly can appreciate your enthusiasm and desire to experiment with the Aneros, but it is very possible that the kind of regimen that you have been engaging in may be responsible for your problems. All and all it sounds like too much, too long, and too intense....and not necessarily just for someone with hemmorhoids!
I should tell you that my own regimen is fairly consistent with what I've recommended above. Furthermore, you should know that there is great benefit to be derived from allowing your body rest and recharge space between sessions. It may facilitate arousal as well, which is critical to a good Aneros session. (I'm currently working on a piece for BEELINE which I'll be posting soon about this very topic). Focus on spending quality time I believe that you'll find it a much better strategy for success!
Everything thing else that you've described is [i:migrated]right on the money. Give this a shot, and see what happens...and let me know how it goes.
Good Luck
