Is There An Upper Age Limit?

I have been told that Aneros and prostate-stimulation orgasms only work for people in the prime of their sexual lives, and that people sixty years old and older are, for the most part, no longer able to experience Super O's. Is this true? Anyone wish to comment?

Don’t think it is true! Just turned 74 and enjoying the journey every day! Lots of Os and some SOs but the pleasure enjoyed no matter what is worth every second! Am aroused as much now as when I was younger!

Was 72 when I first used my Progasm and had a super O the very first time. Now three years later it is less profound

Geeze, I hope not, I'm 71 and had a Super-O today!

Absolutely NOT TRUE ! I didn't have my first Super-O until I was 60.
Good Vibes to You !

Told by whom?

I'll be 35 at the end of August, and my sex drive has taken a nose-dive in recent months, so I guess age isn't everything.

Thank you to all of you who've replied to my question. I have never been able to experience any kind of orgasm with my Aneros prostate stimulators. I am over age 60 myself, and so I find your responses encouraging. I am now beginning to think that my deeply-ingrained negative attitude toward sexuality, in which from earliest childhood I was made to feel that sex and anything having to do with it (like genitals) was "dirty" and "wrong" and "something you should never do" and "something to be deeply ashamed of and embarrassed about" is to blame.

Proof Positive to me that the MIND is a MAJOR influence and controller - positive or negative - of our sexual lives. When I first began using my Aneros Helix, I felt the intense stimulation exactly as promised, but its intensity made me very anxious, and soon those feelings of intense pleasure went away and were replaced by a feeling of numbness. The more I have CONSCIOUSLY and DELIBERATELY challenged my deep-seated bad feelings about sex, the less able to feel pleasure I have become. NOT GOOD.

Therefore, I'm going to open my mind, as much as it will allow me, to sexual pleasure, and continue to use my Aneros stimulators. I wish I knew how to get at whatever is so deeply ingrained in my mind that I seem unable to shut off, this deeply-rooted anti-sex shame-filled attitude that kills my pleasure, just when I begin to feel that pleasure begin to kick in and intensify. At least I'm putting aside the notion that age alone is to blame.

I wish there were help groups for sexually-repressed people like me! I can't begin to express how terribly FRUSTRATED and CHEATED I feel!

@ kaygo - In response to your question, "Told by whom?" - I read comments on discussion forums like this one where people said that this kind of anal stimulation is not something older people can use. Can't recall anything more specific than that, unfortunately. But that idea that this kind of stimulation was not for older people was planted in my head. I think the other commenters here are laying that one to rest.

As for your finding your sex drive tanking at your age, I think it may well have to do with the amount of estrogen in the environment these days which is wreaking havoc on men's sexuality. Estrogen and its derivatives are now found in all kinds of things like food additives, packaging and even those printed credit card receipts we so often handle when signing for a purchase, especially at restaurants, etc. There are ways to eliminate these estrogenic toxins from our bodies. Please find a good doctor who can do a thorough physical exam and blood work-up on you. You should NOT be losing your libido at your age, nor for many years to come!

Knowing this is leading me now to think that my deeply-ingrained negative attitude toward sexuality, in which from earliest childhood I was made to feel that sex and anything related to it (like genitals) was "dirty" and "wrong" and "something you should never do" and "something to be deeply ashamed of and embarrassed to admit to doing" is to blame.

Clearly, you are suffering from cognitive dissonance, one of many psychological obstacles which may impede your Aneros journey (please see Identifying Obstacles to Progress).

It's good you have identified a problem and have a positive attitude to be open minded, now, can you take the next step and get professional help to resolve some of these deep seated issues?

I wish there were help groups for sexually-repressed people like me! I can't begin to express how terribly FRUSTRATED and CHEATED I feel!

On line forums such as this one are not good sources for getting authoritative, professional help but there is no reason for you to be suffering in your self created hell, there are groups that can help. Please see the Getting Help paragraphs in the Aneros WIKI and be courageous in taking action to overcome the toxic mental programming of your youth, YOU CAN DO IT ! I sincerely hope you will make the effort to extricate yourself from your many years of suffering. I know counseling has helped myself and many others in resolving problems we know we have but have difficulty resolving by ourselves.
Good Vibes to You !

I'm 89 and trying to survive the very best Aless orgasms of my life, and of unlimited quantity, thanks to a combination of KSMO, Aneros and mind training. And they get better each day.

Let the fireworks begin!
