Is it normal to lose sensation when doing a kegel?

If i relax the pc muscles and play with my perineum or penis, i can create sensations in those areas . If i do a kegel, it reduces the sensations to less than a quarter of what i feel relaxed. The kegel has no pleasure in itself, and takes away alot of the sensitivity as long as i keep the contraction.

Legace,

Are you referring to doing Kegels, stimulating your penis and perineum without the Aneros inserted?

Yes, without the aneros.

It's normal, Kegels provide the body with a different sensory focus. For this and other reasons I've long suggested an avoidance of penile stimulation in conjunction with one's Aneros practice.

Yes, without the aneros.

Just read this old post and looks like B.Mayfield suggested to avoid penis stimulation when doing kegals. I am still in the re-wiring process and have been doing kegals regularly, but the thought of not touching my penis at the same time never occurred to me.

I don't think there's too much to comment on. Touching your penis while doing kegals diverts your attention away from anything going on in the prostate region. What you're doing might feel good, but it's different to what most of us are going for 🙂
