Hello, Im new to this whole thing. Just received my Aneros today in the mail. Dying to try it, but at the same time really freaked out to. Never had anything up my rectum before.. Curious... Is an enema neccessary before use of the aneros? Or rather, how many here actually use an enema each time before the use of the aneros?

Thanks

Hi Trevorboy83, Dont be afraid, as I was new to this and now have no regrets. I would recomend that you douche before using the anerous, again its a personal thing. Just warm water works well. This will ensure that your rectum is empty and clean and will give you the true sensation from your aneros. I always douche before useing my aneros. Its great for the cleanup. jason

Hi jason,
Thanks for the reply.. Douche with what though.. a rectal syringe, or is there an easier way then going down to the store to buy one.

Thanks!

Hi Trevorboy, You can douche using a syringe or use your shower hose, just remove the head and use very low water flow. You can buy a hand held spray also, and remove the spray this can fit over the bath or almost any tap. Hope this helps Jason

a hand held bidet like http://www.cleanaday.biz/handbidet.htm works pretty well.

It certainly is not required. To me it is more a matter of removing a possible distraction since the unit may pop out or fluid may leak. If you are empty in there, it is not a matter of performance; it's mindset.

I purchased the little hand pump thing from this site. Works well. The idea is to clean and flush away any obstacles between the aneros and your prostate. An enima is probably going overboard. You just want to clear the immediate area, not your entire digestive track 😛
