Hello, I've had my aneros for a while now and have rarely used it. I stumbled on this forum and decided to try it again after reading some of the great experiences people have had with theirs.

My problem is I can't get the damn thing in. I lube the hell out of it with astroglide, lay on my side and take it easy. I go slow and relax, go some more, relax, on and on but it hurts so bad. Today after more than 20 minutes of trying to get it in, I had it all the way up to the last 3/4inch and the pain was just unbearable.

Am I the only one, anyone else overcame this problem. I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks, B-Man

are you using the Progasm by any chance??If so, you need to "spoon" it in as though you are trying to get your favourite soup.

Sounds like you are a bit nervous, which can make you hold back (it did with me and the Progasm at first (because in my mind it felt as though a penis was going to go in). as for the pain, it could nerves. i dont know.

Im still very inexperienced compared to some people (Darwin and B.Mayfield).

Hope this helps somewhat.

John

I'm not sure which one it is because they all look slightly different than the one I have. I have one of the larger models though from what it looks like.

I try to relax, go a little at a time, relax a little. It still hurts like hell. I use lots of lube too. I'm not sure what you mean by spoon it in.

Thanks for your feedback. Anyone else hurt like hell using these/ Once it's in, its fine. It just hurts so bad getting there I usually just don't find it worth the pain.

Thanks all.

Hi B-Man,

No, the Aneros should not hurt when inserting it. If it does, then you’re not relaxed enough, not lubed well enough, and/or are trying to go too fast. Take your time and allow your sphincter muscles to relax. Some of the larger models such as the Maximus or Progasm may be a little difficult to insert if you aren’t used to anal toys, but with repeated use, you will learn to relax your sphincter muscles to allow easy insertion. If your sphincter muscles are clenched tight, trying to insert anything will hurt.

It sounds like you need some anal training with some smaller toys or your fingers. You may want to consider purchasing the Eupho as it is the smallest diameter model and try using it for a while (several weeks perhaps) before trying to use some of the larger models. You can also purchase small butt plugs or 1 inch diameter dildos from any online adult toy store. By starting out small, using plenty of lubrication, relaxation and taking your time, you should be able to accommodate larger toys. It’s not about stretching yourself to accommodate these toys. It’s about getting your sphincter muscles to relax enough to allow insertion.

I suggest you also try using your fingers. Make sure the fingernails are short, well trimmed and lubed. Try massaging the anus a little and then gently insert a finger. You will likely experience further clenching but if you hold your finger steady or move it in and out just slightly, you should feel the muscles start to relax. Some people suggest trying to gently bear down as if trying to go to the bathroom, but that doesn’t work for me. Once your sphincter starts to relax a little, try gently pressing against the muscle all around it as if you were trying to open it further. Don’t force it though; all you are trying to do is discover what muscles are there, how they respond to something being inserted, and to provide a massage. This also provides feedback to you so that you can tell when you are clenched and when the muscles start to relax. When you are ready, you can try inserting two fingers.

Another thing to try is to take a warm bath before trying to use the Aneros. This will help to relax your entire body and you can also try the anal massage during the bath as well. The warmth of the water tends to relax those muscles just as it does the rest of your body. You may also want to perform an anal massage during or after a shower. If done on a regular basis your body will get used to the sensation of having something being inserted.

Hope this helps.

Keep at it but not to the point that it hurts. Using the Aneros or any anal sex toy is about pleasure, not pain.

SO I'M STILL NOT HAVING MUCH LUCK WITH THIS THING. I'VE TRIED GOING SUPER SLOW, I THINK I MENTIONED THAT I'VE TAKEN MORE THAN 20 MIN FOR INSTERTION AND IT STILL HURTS LIKE HELL. TRIED THE WARM SHOWER THING AND SAME RESULT.

WHAT ARE THE INSERTION POSITIONS YOU ALL ARE USING. ALSO, ARE YOU ALL JUST TRYIJG TO RELAX AS MUCH AS POSIBLE, OR DO YOU BEAR DOWN AS IF DURING ELIMINATION.

I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE I AM HAVING SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH THIS THING. I HAVE TRIED SOME SMALLER TOYS AND HAD NO PROBLEM. THIS THING FEELS LIKE I HAVE A GREAT NEED TO SIT ON THE TOILET FOR A HUGE ELLIMINTATION SESSION. THAT IS IN BETWEEN THE BOUTS OF EXTREME DISCOMFORT.

I HAVE TAKEN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS OFF AND TRIED AGAIN TONIGHT AFTER A LONG, HOT SHOWER. STILL THE SAME RESULT. THIS IS ON OF THE LARGER MODELS BUT DAMN, IT LOOKS LIKE I'M THE ONLY ONE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR IMPUT.

B=MAN

B-man,

You might want to read through this thread to a gentleman that had a similar problem -

Hi B-Man,

Rumel offers some great advice as usual.

I usually lay on my side as well like you mentioned in your first post. I lay on my left side and prop myself up with my left elbow. My left leg is flat on the bed and bent. My right leg is lifted off of the bed and halfway bent and is usually parallel to my left leg. I lift it higher or lower, rotate it up or down as needed to feel more relaxed or to get more access to my anus.

You mentioned taking a shower. A shower can work if you have one of those shower massagers where you cand direct the warm water at your anus. A bath would work better than a shower since you can fully relax.

Another tip is to use one of your smaller plugs first for the first 15 minutes or so to get your anus relaxed. Then you can insert the larger Aneros.

As an aside, you said that the Aneros model you have is one of the larger ones but doesn't look like any on the website. The larger ones are all new and are all pictured so I wonder if what you really have is an Aneros or perhaps some knock off. The manufacturer does have a companion website to promote the healthful aspects of prostate massage rather than the sexual benefits - http://www.highisland.com . Perhaps you can visit that website to see if you have one of those models. Those are all small though, about the size of an MGX or Helix, not like a Progasm or Maximus on this website. If you still don't see your model on that website or this one, then I would suggest getting rid of it since it is causing you so much discomfort and buy the real thing, starting out with a Helix or MGX.

Hope this helps,

Onthepath

Well, I took the advice of one of the posters of this thread and looked around and found something a lot closer to what I have. I believe I have been using a "Nexus Nero." It looks exactly like what has been giving me problems.

(Knock-Off URL removed by Support)

I have just purchased a MGX and will hopefully be on my merry way. Thank you all who posted.

B- MAN

I am one of thses users that have no found a Super O yet and I've been trying for over 2years. The experiences I have are still joyful and very pleasurable but in search for the elusive dry orgasm I too went and purchased the Nexus Nero.
Now I am no stranger to anal play and I do have the Progasm which is largest version you can get from Aneros. The Nexus Nero is alot different. It is designed to really push against the prostate and is designed for the fuller experience.
Under no circumstances should anyone who has very little experience of prostate stimulation should try this model as it will put you off the whole idea of dry orgasm.
It takes times to insert. It is indeed uncomfortable for quite some time and offers you nothing like the experience you get from any model of Aneros. Furthermore it doesn't stay in. I know that sounds unbelievable but once used to it it falls out. Very annoying.

If your a novice then stick to the MGX or Helix and then read on forums.

Hope this helps

My Aneros MGX arrived about a week and a half ago. While I'm still playing with the whole Super O thing, the insertion problem has vanished.

The Aneros is completely different and the first time I tried it, it slipped right in.

Thanks to all who posted and I'm looking forward now to the Super O and all the pleasures leading up to it.

Peace,

B-Man
