I bought an Aneros about a year ago, used it many times, get absolutely nothing. I tried everything, including sleeping with it. Nuttin.'

Do I need to get a longer one?

Why is it not working for me?

Do I need to get a longer one?No, but you probably will just to verify for yourself that it won't make a difference. Why is it not working for me?You may find the thread Identifying Obstacles to Progress helpful in leading you along your path.

I'd try a finger and find your prostate. Mark it and compare your findings to similar sized massagers. Sounds silly but then again we are sticking an object up our bum for devilish delights. I thought by using a longer and larger massager would work better but a smaller one hits the spot better for me. The only way to know is to explore.

The "Do Nothing" method does Nuttin for me. I've tried several times with no success and have usually fallen asleep with the Aneros in. It doesn't wake me up. I've not gotten any Super O's but have had many sessions with outstanding dry O's by gently moving the muscle around my perineum and prostrate, with or without the Aneros. I have to really focus on my prostate. Most importantly, I have to actively focus on how good it feels until I reach a heightened level of arousal, then I usually get some involuntary movement.

The Aneros alone isn't necessarily going to get you off. It is a tool. The orgasmic state for me occurs mostly in my mind. Hell, I've had some pretty awesome dry O's with leakage just sitting in my easy chair and focusing on what it feels like as you are about to have a traditional orgasm. My prostate starts to ache a little as I imagine rubbing it with my finger, I relax and then comes a rush of major pleasant feelings. I have to stop myself from moaning out loud.

Have you tried to find your sweet spot between the anus and scrotum? My spot is much farther toward my scrotum than most. I had to modify my Progasm to hit it. Once I found the spot and did the mod I progressed much farther.

Don't quit.

for the love of god, just enjoy that. You get 100000% more than ive ever had i would put money on the fact that ive been at this far longer than you. Saying not to quit is easy if you have response and having something you can work with, something you can build on.

Whoa, so much for words of encouragement. I guess if you've been at it for soo long with no results, you should quit.

Quitting? Tell me, is that some kind of personal mantra?

"I bought an Aneros about a year ago, used it many times, get absolutely nothing. I tried everything, including sleeping with it. Nuttin.' "
You don't say what you bought so it is impossible to say whether a longer one or shorter one would help.
You don't say if you feel the Aneros against your prostate.
In the year how many times and how long is your normal session.
Your height and age might help as well.
For some folk it can be quite a while before the brain allows the prostate to respond.

I have the MGX. Might a longer one help? I'm 5'9".

I can't say if I feel the Aneros against my prostate because I don't know how that feels. What does it feel like? I have tried pushing the Aneros in, and it does seem to be pressing against something. It's a slightly painful feeling.

I've done maybe two dozen sessions over a year and a half. For about 15 to 20 minutes each.

I have not tried feeling my prostate with my finger. I can do that, though.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.

Mgx is a decent start, I got the w helix classic as my first. It's been about 20 months for me and I've used to4-5 times a week and sometimes for sessions of 3-4 hours, fallen asleep and had another session even after. It's taken this long and again this week something awoke again like layering sensation on building sensation until now I just started feeling extraordinary sensation leaving a humming vibration through my legs. My answer, get more committed. 24 sessions over a year and a half isn't yielding the results you want. Someone here said finally after 6 years he finally had it happen and it was everything they said it was. I'm pretty close now I pray but I have definitely had some rewarding events with my schedule.

I hear you, yankeecowboy, but honestly, I feel as if I could lie there with my Aneros in till the cows come home and nothing would happen.

What is it about the Helix syn or Classic that you think might work for me?

I would not get a new model, there is no magic bullet.
Try some light voluntary contractions of the sphincter muscles.
Also, different positions in which the body can move freely can
help. Lying on my side with a small pillow between my knees
works well for me (knees pulled up to 45 degree angle to provide
a slight constriction via the leg muscles). If anything happens
don't try to control the contractions, let them flow freely.

As bishop said there is no magic bullet. Only reason I was thinking of helix was that it was designed with a greater angle of the piece wih more of the bulk at the tip than the Mgx and that there were no ridges in the neck. The intention of the helix was to put a greater pressure on the prostate with most sensation derived to the same. I do know that around 16 months I had been using the helix and I was training wih peridise for about 2 weeks and that the small model opened the gates for me and everything with helix and syn has been completely different ever since. I've been thinking about buying an mgx next or a eupho actually. Just to see what changes I can now get from them but I have been getting so much from helix right now I haven't made the move.

I've tried light voluntary contractions of the sphincter (many times) to no avail. I haven't tried putting a pillow between my knees--will do that. Thanks, gentlemen.

I did a session with a pillow between my knees--got nothing. Am I the only man who's tried an Aneros and felt nothing? I've used every conceivable position, I'm relaxed, I breathe deeply, I've done sexual fantasies, heck, I've used self-hypnosis. Yet I feel nothing. Zilch. Maybe my body can't have these prostate orgasms (or whatever they are).
🙁

go to lighams blog look up the one he posted a few times ago about his technique with light pressure on the tip of your penis and nipple stim. It worked for me and got me over the hump. Just be aware you may have a ejaculation if your penis figures out what is going on. But it is worth a try.

Yes. I skimmed through it. What was it that you felt would teach me something?

No, but I've been thinking about it, to help loosen me up in general. I'm afraid to buy some because I fear I'll become too fond of it and become addicted. But if you find it's helpful to you, I might well give it a go.

There ya go. Sound advice offered with subtitled instructions to get to the promised land. Notice it isn't a 15-20 min trip. It takes real intention and commitment as this video demonstrates. But still your body and everyone else is different. The process of rewiring has been ongoing for myself for 20 months and I have been a dedicated user. I have doubted and guessed and questioned and queried and ultimately discovered that in the relaxing and in the stillness it comes on its own. About the 16th month is when it really got going and I have more successes than duds and this video was one of the big instructional ones that got me there. Watch closely. Watch the nuances of motion, hands, legs, hips. I still think you would do better with helix but if you don't want to invest that is alright. I said I wouldn't invest in the others until I had regular success with helix. So up to you. Not a video to be skimmed.

I'm happy to get a Helix or any other model, but I'm hesitant after the observation was made that getting a new model is not a magic bullet. I figure maybe I'm doing something wrong, or that I'm unconsciously blocking the feelings. Though I'm relaxed--if I were any more I'd be a rag doll. In fact after about 20 minutes, I fall asleep.

I completely understand. How I felt when I got my helix syn. It sat in the box for almost 5 months before I started using it. Then suddenly I was getting better results wi th that than the classic. Syn is still on the a+ team followed by classic then peridise then progasm ice. They all feel good it depends what I'm in the mood for. Gonna stick to coconut oil I think for lube or silicone depending on the model. The rewiring process takes time and the pioneers of aneros had their success with mgx first. Still waiting I'm gonna get mine and compare.

Did so, today. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I felt nothing. I tried a variety of positions, I used fantasy, I contracted sphincter muscles, I used the Key Sound, and I lay there and did absolutely nothing. I did not get any pleasurable sensations. Why am I missing the boat?
:((
